| মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |

| সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper. | Surah 4 , An-Nisa , Verse: 85 |

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
- Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except Allah. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
- Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing.

Birds Fly:
The flight of birds embodies the harmony of creation, where the laws of physics and divine wisdom intersect. Allah’s signs are evident in their graceful movements and the balance they maintain against the pull of gravity. The Quran repeatedly calls on us to observe the natural world as a source of inspiration and reflection.
Wing Structure:
Feathers : Feathers are essential for flight. They are lightweight but strong, providing both lift and control. The different types of feathers—primary, secondary, and tail feathers—all serve distinct purposes in helping birds maneuver, gain altitude, and balance.
Bones : The bones in a bird's wing are hollow, which makes them incredibly lightweight without sacrificing strength. This is a beautiful example of efficiency in design—where minimal weight allows for maximum speed and agility during flight.
Muscles : Birds have powerful muscles attached to their wings, specifically the pectoral muscles, which enable them to flap their wings with great force. These muscles give birds the ability to lift off from the ground and sustain flight over long distances.
Aerodynamic Shape : The wing structure of birds is a brilliant example of how Allah has designed creation with perfect precision. The curved top surface and the flatter bottom surface of the wing play a crucial role in flight. When a bird flaps its wings, the air moves faster over the curved top, and slower under the flat bottom. This creates a difference in air pressure, known as "lift." The higher pressure below the wing pushes the bird upwards, while the lower pressure above helps it stay afloat. This natural mechanism allows birds to defy gravity and soar in the sky. It is a reflection of the harmony in creation, where Allah's wisdom is evident in even the smallest details
The intricacy of wing structure—its ability to manipulate airflow, create lift, and provide stability—is a remarkable sign of Allah’s creative power. The wing structure is specifically tailored to each bird species based on its needs and environment. For instance:
- Eagles have broad wings designed for soaring and gliding over great distances.
- Hummingbirds have short wings that allow for rapid flapping, enabling them to hover in place.
- Swallows have narrow, pointed wings for fast, agile flight.
Each type of wing demonstrates Allah’s deep wisdom in creation, where nothing is random. The precision with which every element of the wing is designed shows how Allah provided each creature with the tools it needs to thrive in its environment.
Wing Flapping:
Wing flapping is a vital process that allows birds to generate the necessary force to move through the air and maintain flight. The act of flapping wings involves two key movements: the downstroke and the upstroke, each playing a distinct role in propulsion and lift.
-
Downstroke: When a bird pushes its wings down, it generates thrust, which propels it forward. During this phase, the large flight muscles in the bird's chest, known as the pectoral muscles, contract, creating a powerful downward movement. The feathers are positioned in such a way that they act as a solid surface, pushing against the air to provide the force needed to keep the bird aloft.
-
Upstroke: The upstroke is the recovery phase of the flap, where the bird raises its wings back up in preparation for the next downstroke. During this movement, the bird's wing feathers slightly separate and rotate, allowing air to pass through them with minimal resistance. This helps reduce drag, conserving the bird's energy as it flies. The upstroke primarily serves to position the wings for the next powerful downstroke, allowing for continuous flight.
Different bird species have adapted their wing flapping techniques based on their environment and needs. Birds that migrate long distances, such as albatrosses, use a gliding technique, minimizing the need for constant flapping. On the other hand, birds like hummingbirds flap their wings incredibly fast, up to 80 beats per second, which allows them to hover in one place.
Wing flapping is a reflection of Allah's wisdom in how He created birds with the ability to navigate through the skies with grace and precision.
In Surah An-Nahl (16:79), it is said: "Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except Allah. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe."
