কুরআনের আলোকে মৃত্যু​

মৃত্যু জীবনের সবচেয়ে নিশ্চিত সত্যগুলোর একটি । প্রতিটি প্রাণীকেই এটি স্বাদ গ্রহণ করতে হবে , তবে এর প্রকৃতি , উদ্দেশ্য এবং পরবর্তীতে কী ঘটে — এসব প্রশ্ন অনেক সময় রহস্যে ঢাকা থাকে। কুরআন আমাদেরকে মৃত্যুর ব্যাপারে গভীর অন্তর্দৃষ্টি দেয় ; এটি কেবল একটি সমাপ্তি নয় , বরং এক অন্তর্বর্তীকাল — আল্লাহর নির্ধারিত পরিকল্পনার একটি অংশ । এই বইটি কুরআনে বর্ণিত মৃত্যুসংক্রান্ত আয়াতগুলো একত্র করে আমাদের উপলব্ধিকে আরও গভীর করার চেষ্টা করেছে এবং এতে সান্ত্বনা , সচেতনতা ও আত্মিক দিকনির্দেশনা নিহিত রয়েছে ।

🌿 অধ্যায় ১ : আল্লাহই জীবন ও মৃত্যুর দাতা

  • সূরা ৯ : ১১৬ - “ নিশ্চয়ই আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর সার্বভৌমত্ব আল্লাহরই । তিনিই জীবন দেন এবং তিনিই মৃত্যু ঘটান । আর আল্লাহ ছাড়া তোমাদের কোনো সাহায্যকারী বা অভিভাবক নেই । ”

  • সূরা ১০ : ৩১ - “বল, ‘ কে তোমাদেরকে আকাশ ও পৃথিবী থেকে রিযিক দেন ? কে শ্রবণ ও দৃষ্টির মালিক ? কে জীবিতকে মৃত থেকে বের করেন এবং মৃতকে জীবিত থেকে বের করেন ? কে সমস্ত বিষয় পরিচালনা করেন ?’ তারা বলবে , ‘আল্লাহ।’ বল, ‘তাহলে তোমরা কি ভয় করো না ?’”

  • সূরা ১০ : ৫৫-৫৬ - “ স্মরণ রেখো, আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর সবকিছু আল্লাহরই। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য , কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ তা জানে না । তিনি জীবন দেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান, আর তাঁরই কাছে তোমাদেরকে ফিরে যেতে হবে । ”

  • সূরা ২৩ : ৮০ - “ তিনিই জীবন দেন ও মৃত্যু ঘটান এবং তিনিই রাত ও দিনের পরিবর্তনের মালিক। তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝবে না ? ”

  • সূরা ২২ : ৬৬ - “ তিনিই তোমাদেরকে জীবন দিয়েছেন, তারপর তোমাদের মৃত্যু ঘটাবেন এবং পুনরায় তোমাদেরকে জীবিত করবেন। কিন্তু মানুষ সত্যিই অকৃতজ্ঞ।”

🌿 অধ্যায় ২ : মৃত্যুর মুহূর্ত

সূরা ১৬ : ৩২ - “ যাদের প্রাণ ফেরেশতারা নিয়ে যায় পবিত্র অবস্থায় , তারা বলে , ‘ তোমাদের উপর শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক , তোমরা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করো , তোমরা যা করেছো তার প্রতিদানে ।’”

সূরা ১৫ : ৯৯ - “ আর তোমার প্রভুর ইবাদত করো যতক্ষণ না তোমার কাছে নিশ্চিত বিষয় (মৃত্যু) আসে । ”

সূরা ২৩ : ৯৯ - ১০০ - “ যখন তাদের কারো কাছে মৃত্যু আসে , সে বলে , ‘ হে আমার প্রভু ! আমাকে ফিরিয়ে দাও , যাতে আমি নেক কাজ করতে পারি যা আমি ফেলে এসেছি ।’ না ! এটা সে কেবল মুখে বলছে ; আর তাদের সামনে আছে একটি বাধা , পুনরুত্থান দিবস পর্যন্ত । ”

🌿 অধ্যায় ৩: মৃত্যু আল্লাহর নির্ধারিত পরিকল্পনার অংশ

সূরা ১১:৬ “পৃথিবীতে এমন কোনো জীব নেই যার রিযিক আল্লাহর দায়িত্বে নেই। তিনি জানেন তার আবাস ও সংরক্ষণের স্থান। সবই আছে একটি স্পষ্ট কিতাবে।”

সূরা ২৩:১২-১৬ “আমি মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করেছি মাটির নির্যাস থেকে... তারপর তোমরা মৃত্যু বরণ করবে। এরপর তোমরা কেয়ামতের দিনে পুনরুত্থিত হবে।”

সূরা ২১:৩৫ “প্রত্যেক প্রাণী মৃত্যুর স্বাদ আস্বাদন করবে। আমি তোমাদেরকে ভালো ও খারাপ দিয়ে পরীক্ষা করি। আর তোমরা আমার কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।”

সূরা ১৬:৭০ “আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, এরপর তিনিই তোমাদের মৃত্যু ঘটাবেন। তোমাদের কারো কারোকে তিনি এমন বৃদ্ধ অবস্থায় ফিরিয়ে দেন যে, সে পূর্বজ্ঞান থাকার পরও কিছুই জানে না। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ ও সর্বশক্তিমান।”

🌿 অধ্যায় ৪: মৃত্যুর পরে কী ঘটে

  • সূরা ২৩ : ১০১ - ১০৪ : "যখন শিংধ্বনি দেওয়া হবে, সেদিন তাদের মধ্যে কোনো আত্মীয়তার সম্পর্ক থাকবে না, এবং তারা একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞেসও করবে না। যাদের আমলনামা ভারী হবে—তারা হবে সফল। আর যাদের আমলনামা হালকা হবে—তারা নিজের প্রাণ হারাবে, এবং চিরকাল জাহান্নামে অবস্থান করবে। আগুন তাদের মুখমণ্ডল পুড়িয়ে দেবে, আর তারা সেখানে থাকবে বাঁকা ও বিকৃত মুখে।"

  • সূরা ইয়াসীন (৩৬): ৫১ – ৫২ : আর যখন শিংগায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে তখনই তারা কবর থেকে ছুটে আসবে তাদের রবের দিকে । তারা বলবে , হায় ! দুর্ভোগ আমাদের ! কে আমাদেরকে আমাদের নিদ্রাস্থল থেকে উঠাল ? (তাদেরকে বলা হবে) দয়াময় আল্লাহ্ তো এরই প্ৰতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন এবং রাসূলগণ সত্যই বলেছিলেন ।

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."

  • সূরা আল-কিয়ামাহ (৭৫): ২৬–৩০ "না, যখন প্রাণ জিভের কাছে এসে পৌঁছায়, এবং বলা হয়, ‘কে আছে যিনি চিকিৎসা করতে পারে?’ আর মৃত্যুপ্রাপ্ত ব্যক্তি বুঝে যায় যে, এটাই বিচ্ছেদকাল। আর পা জোড়া বাঁধা হবে পায়ে, সেদিন তোমার রবের দিকেই হবে প্রত্যাবর্তন।"

  • সূরা আল-ওয়াকিয়া (৫৬): ৮৩–৯৪ "তোমরা কি দেখ না, যখন মৃত্যু অবস্থায় প্রাণ গলায় পৌঁছে যায়, এবং তখন তোমরা তাকিয়ে থাক, অথচ আমাদের ফেরেশতারা তার নিকটে থাকে, কিন্তু তোমরা তা দেখতে পাও না। তাহলে, যদি তোমরা হিসাবের শাস্তি ভোগ না করো বলে মনে করো, তাহলে তার প্রাণ ফিরিয়ে আনো—তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও! আর যদি মৃত ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর নিকটবর্তীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়, তবে তার জন্য থাকবে শান্তি, অনুগ্রহ ও জান্নাতের আনন্দ। কিন্তু সে যদি মিথ্যাবাদী ও পথভ্রষ্টদের মধ্যে হয়ে থাকে, তাহলে তার জন্য থাকবে ফুটন্ত পানি এবং জাহান্নামের আগুনে পোড়ানো।"

🌿 অধ্যায় ৫: পুনরুত্থানের বাস্তবতা

সূরা ২৩ : ১১৫ - ১১৮ : “তোমরা কি মনে করেছিলে আমি তোমাদেরকে নিরর্থক সৃষ্টি করেছি, এবং তোমরা আমার কাছে ফিরে আসবে না? সুতরাং আল্লাহ – রাজাধিরাজ, সত্য – কত মহান! তিনি ছাড়া আর কোনো উপাস্য নেই, তিনি মহিমান্বিত আরশের অধিপতি।”

সূরা ২২ : ৬৬ : “এরপর তিনি তোমাদেরকে আবার জীবন দিবেন। নিশ্চয়ই মানুষ অকৃতজ্ঞ।”

সূরা ১০ : ৫৬ : “তিনিই জীবন দেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান, আর তাঁর কাছেই তোমাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে নেওয়া হবে।”

কুরআনের আলোকে মৃত্যু কোনো শেষ নয়, এটি শাস্তিও নয় – এটি আল্লাহর নিখুঁত পরিকল্পনার অংশ। এটি তাঁর কাছে ফিরে যাওয়া, যিনি পরম দয়ালু, স্রষ্টা ও বিচারক। একজন মুমিনের জন্য এটি আরও ভালো জীবনের দ্বার, আর উদাসীনদের জন্য এটি এক জাগরণ বার্তা। এই আয়াতগুলো আমাদের উপলব্ধি দেয়, জ্ঞান দেয় এবং আমাদের প্রস্তুত থাকতে বলে এই অনিবার্য পরিণতির জন্য।

🤲দোআ:

হে আল্লাহ! আমাকে তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করুন যাদের প্রাণ ফেরেশতারা পবিত্র অবস্থায় গ্রহণ করে এবং বলেন, “তোমাদের উপর শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক, তোমরা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করো তোমরা যা করেছো তার জন্য।”

Death in the Light of the Quran​

Death is one of the most certain realities of life. Every soul shall taste it, yet its nature, purpose, and what follows afterward are questions often shrouded in mystery. The Quran provides profound insight into death, not just as an end but as a transition—an integral part of the divine plan. This book gathers and reflects upon the Quranic verses related to death to deepen our understanding and bring comfort, awareness, and spiritual insight.

🌿 Chapter 1: Allah is the Giver of Life and Death

  • Surah 9 : 116 : "Indeed, to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper."

  • Surah 10 : 31 : "Say, 'Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?' They will say, 'Allah,' so say, 'Then will you not fear Him?'"

  • Surah 10 : 55-56 : "Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, the promise of Allah is truth, but most of them do not know. He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned."

  • Surah 23 : 80 : "And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not then reason?"

  • Surah 22 : 66 : "And He is the One who gave you life; then He causes you to die and then will [again] give you life. Indeed, mankind is ungrateful."

🌿 Chapter 2: The Moment of Death

  • Surah 16 : 32 : "Those whose souls the angels take while they had been good. They say, 'Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise for what you used to do.'"

  • Surah 15 : 99 : "And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death)."

  • Surah 23 : 99 - 100 : "Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, send me back that I might do righteousness in that which I left behind.' No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected."

🌿 Chapter 3: Death as Part of the Divine Plan

  • Surah 11 : 6 : "And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear record."

  • Surah 23 : 12 - 16 : "And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay... Then indeed, after that you are to die. Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected."

  • Surah 21 : 35 : "Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned."

  • Surah 16 : 70 : "And Allah created you; then He will take you in death. And among you is he who is reversed to the most decrepit old age so that he will not know, after [having had] knowledge, a thing. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Competent."

🌿 Chapter 4: What Comes After Death

  • Surah 23:101–104 "Then when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] – it is they who will be the successful. But those whose scales are light – those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles."

  • Surah 36:51–52 "And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten. They will say, 'O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?' [The reply will be], 'This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth.'"

  • Surah 75:26–30 "No! When the soul has reached the collar bones. And it is said, 'Who will cure [him]?' And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation. And the leg is wound about the leg, to your Lord, that Day, will be the procession."

  • Surah 56:83–94 "Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat, and you are at that time looking on – and Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see – then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, bring it back if you should be truthful? And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure... But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water and burning in Hellfire."

🌿 Chapter 5: The Reality of Resurrection

  • Surah 23 : 115 - 118 : "Did you think that We had created you in play, and that you would not be brought back to Us? So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne."

  • Surah 22 : 66 : "Then He will give you life again. Indeed, man is ungrateful."

  • Surah 10 : 56 : "He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned."

Death, as taught by the Quran, is neither an end nor a punishment—it is part of Allah's perfect plan. It is a return to Him, the Most Merciful, the Creator, and the Judge. For the believer, it is a gateway to a better life, and for the heedless, a reminder to wake up. Through these verses, we gain clarity, wisdom, and a reminder to prepare ourselves for the inevitable transition.

🤲 Dua:

O Allah, make me among those whose souls the angels take in a good state, saying, “Peace be upon you; enter Paradise for what you used to do.”
