We Always Remember |

| মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |

| সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

  • By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, cept for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

What does Allah swear by when He says 'By the Time'?

When Allah swears by something, it is to direct our attention to its deep significance.

By swearing by time, Allah urges us to reflect on how we use it and to live in a way that leads to ultimate success in both this life and the Hereafter. Time, therefore, is not something to be taken lightly. It is a silent companion that constantly reminds us of our accountability to Allah and the transient nature of this world.

By swearing by time, Allah emphasizes that every moment is precious, and wasting it leads to loss. We are constantly moving through life’s stages, from birth to death, and time is a silent witness to all our actions. We are given a limited amount of Time, and how we spend it determines our success or failure in the Hereafter. In Surah Al-Asr, Allah describes how mankind is in a state of loss unless they use their time wisely by believing, doing righteous deeds, and helping others in truth and patience. This underscores that the proper use of time is tied to fulfilling our purpose in life as servants of Allah.

Time is a test. Every second is a moment where we have the chance to make decisions—good or bad. Allah tests us through the passage of time, observing how we act in different stages of life: in youth, adulthood, and old age. The changing seasons and the passage of years remind us that this life is temporary, and time will eventually run out.

Time has a way of revealing the true nature of things. It can expose falsehood, bring justice, and show the consequences of our actions. Allah swearing by time may be a reminder that, over time, the truth becomes clear, and the results of our choices are unveiled.

By swearing by time, Allah also reminds us that everything in this life is temporary. Time is constantly moving forward, and with each passing day, we are closer to our end. This can inspire a sense of urgency within us to do good and make the most of our time before it’s too late. The fleeting nature of time reminds us that our true home is the Hereafter, where time is eternal.

In essence, Allah swears by time to remind us that life is short, and every second counts in our journey to success in this world and the Hereafter.
