Surah 108: Al Kawthar

| আমরা সবসময় মনে রাখি | We Always Remember |​

  • যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |

  • যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. Surah Al-Kawthar, the 108th chapter of the Quran, was revealed in Makkah and is the shortest Surah in the Quran, consisting of just three verses. The name "Al-Kawthar" translates to "abundance" or "plenty," signifying the abundant blessings Allah has bestowed upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This Surah was revealed in response to the mockery and hostility faced by the Prophet from the Quraysh tribe, who claimed that he was without descendants and thus without honor.

In this context, Allah reassures the Prophet that he is favored and granted abundant blessings, including a special river in Paradise named Kawthar. The Surah emphasizes that despite the challenges and opposition faced, Allah’s support and blessings are always present. It also serves as a reminder of the ultimate truth that honor and success come from Allah alone, not from worldly status or lineage.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

  1. Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.
  2. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
  3. Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.

What Allah Says​

This Surah has 3 verses. In Surah Al-Kawthar, Allah reassures the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that He has granted him an abundance of blessings. Allah commands the Prophet to perform prayers and offer sacrifices in gratitude for these blessings. The Surah emphasizes that those who oppose the Prophet and mock him will face loss and regret. পরম দয়ালু, পরম মেহেরবান, আল্লাহর নামে।

  1. নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাকে আল-কাউসার দান করেছি।
  2. কাজেই তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের উদ্দেশ্যে নামায আদায় কর এবং কুরবানী কর,
  3. (তোমার নাম-চিহ্ন কোন দিন মুছবে না, বরং) তোমার প্রতি বিদ্বেষ পোষণকারীরাই নাম চিহ্নহীন- নির্মূল।
