Surah 108: Al Kawthar
We Always Remember |
-
| মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |
-
| সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper. | Surah 4 , An-Nisa , Verse: 85 |

Surah Al-Kawthar, the 108th chapter of the Quran, was revealed in Makkah and is the shortest Surah in the Quran, consisting of just three verses. The name "Al-Kawthar" translates to "abundance" or "plenty," signifying the abundant blessings Allah has bestowed upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This Surah was revealed in response to the mockery and hostility faced by the Prophet from the Quraysh tribe, who claimed that he was without descendants and thus without honor.
In this context, Allah reassures the Prophet that he is favored and granted abundant blessings, including a special river in Paradise named Kawthar. The Surah emphasizes that despite the challenges and opposition faced, Allah’s support and blessings are always present. It also serves as a reminder of the ultimate truth that honor and success come from Allah alone, not from worldly status or lineage.
