যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |
যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. Surah 11 | Hud | হুদ | Verse: 61 - 68

আর আমি সামূদ জাতির কাছে তাদের ভাই সালেহকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম । তিনি বলেছিলেন, হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! তোমরা আল্লাহর ইবাদাত কর , তিনি ছাড়া তোমাদের অন্য কোন সত্য ইলাহ নেই । তিনি তোমাদেরকে মাটি থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তাতেই তিনি তোমাদেরকে বসবাস করিয়েছেন । কাজেই তোমরা তাঁর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর আর তার দিকেই ফিরে আস । নিশ্চয় আমার রব খুব কাছেই , ডাকে সাড়া প্রদানকারী ।
তারা বলল, ‘ হে সালেহ ! তুমি তো ইতিপূর্বে আমাদের মধ্যে আশার পাত্র ছিলে , তুমি কি আমাদেরকে ঐ বস্তুর উপাসনা করতে নিষেধ করছ ; যার উপাসনা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষেরা করে এসেছে ? আর যে ধর্মের দিকে তুমি আমাদেরকে আহবান করছ , বস্তুতঃ আমরা তো সে সম্বন্ধে গভীর সন্দেহ ও দ্বিধাদ্বন্দের মধ্যে রয়েছি ।’
সালিহ বলল , ‘‘ হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! তোমরা কি চিন্তা করে দেখেছ , যদি আমি আমার প্রতপালকের সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণের উপর থাকি আর তাঁর পক্ষ থেকে আমাকে অনুগ্রহ করা হয় , এমতাবস্থায় আমি যদি তার অবাধ্য হই তাহলে আল্লাহর (‘ আযাব ) থেকে আমাকে কে রক্ষা করবে ? তোমরা তো কেবল আমার ক্ষতিই বাড়িয়ে দিতে চাও ।
আর হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! এটা হচ্ছে আল্লাহর উষ্ট্রী , যা তোমাদের জন্য নিদর্শন। অতএব ওকে ছেড়ে দাও ; আল্লাহর যমীনে চরে খাক , আর ওকে খারাপ উদ্দেশ্যে স্পর্শ করো না , অন্যথা তোমাদেরকে আকস্মিক শাস্তি এসে পাকড়াও করবে ।
অতঃপর তারা তাকে হত্যা করল । তখন সে তাদেরকে বলল , ‘ তোমরা তিন দিন নিজ নিজ গৃহে আনন্দে কাটাও । এ এমন এক ওয়াদা , যা মিথ্যা হবার নয় ’।
অতঃপর যখন আমাদের নির্দেশ আসল তখন আমরা সালেহ্ ও তার সঙ্গে যারা ঈমান এনেছিল তাদেরকে আমাদের অনুগ্রহে রক্ষা করলাম এবং রক্ষা করলাম সে দিনের লাঞ্ছনা হতে । নিশ্চয় আপনার রব , তিনি শক্তিমান, মহাপরাক্রমশালী ।
আর যারা যুলম করেছিল, বিকট আওয়াজ তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করল, ফলে তারা নিজদের গৃহে মুখ থুবড়ে পড়ে থাকল।
যেন তারা সেখানে কখনো বসবাস করেনি । জেনে রাখ ! সামূদ সম্প্রদায় তো তাদের রবের সাথে কুফরী করেছিল । জেনে রাখ! ধ্বংসই হল সামূদ সম্প্রদায়ের পরিণাম ।

And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih . He said , " O my people , worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him . He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it , so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him . Indeed , my Lord is near and responsive ."
They said, "O Salih, you were among us a man of promise before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."
He said , " O my people , have you considered : if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord and He has given me mercy from Himself , who would protect me from Allah if I disobeyed Him? So you would not increase me except in loss .
And O my people , this is the she-camel of Allah - [she is] to you a sign . So let her feed upon Allah 's earth and do not touch her with harm , or you will be taken by an impending punishment ."
But they hamstrung her, so he said, "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied."
So when Our command came, We saved Salih and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us , and [saved them] from the disgrace of that day . Indeed , it is your Lord who is the Powerful , the Exalted in Might .
And the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became within their homes [corpses] fallen prone.
As if they had never prospered therein. Unquestionably, Thamud denied their Lord; then, away with Thamud.

Surah 14 | Ibrahim | ইবরাহীম Verse: 9 - 18

তোমাদের কাছে কি সংবাদ আসেনি তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের, নূহের সম্প্রদায়ের, আদের ও সামূদের এবং যারা তাদের পরের? যাদেরকে আল্লাহ্‌ ছাড়া অন্য কেউ জানে না। তাদের কাছে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদিসহ তাদের রাসূলগণ এসেছিলেন, অতঃপর তারা তাদের হাত তাদের মুখে স্থাপন করেছিল। এবং বলেছিল, যা সহ তোমরা প্রেরিত হয়েছ তা আমরা অবশ্যই অস্বীকার করলাম। আর নিশ্চয় আমরা বিভ্রান্তিকর সন্দেহে রয়েছি সে বিষয়ে, যার দিকে তোমরা আমাদেরকে ডাকছ।
তাদের রাসূলগণ বলেছিলেন, আল্লাহ সম্বন্ধে কি কোন সন্দেহ আছে, যিনি আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের সৃষ্টিকর্তা? তিনি তোমাদেরকে ডাকছেন তোমাদের পাপ ক্ষমা করার জন্য এবং নির্দিষ্ট কাল পর্যন্ত তোমাদেরকে অবকাশ দেয়ার জন্য। তারা বলল, তোমরা তো আমাদেরই মত মানুষ। আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষগণ যাদের ইবাদাত করত তোমরা তাদের ইবাদাত হতে আমাদেরকে বিরত রাখতে চাও। অতএব তোমরা আমাদের কাছে কোন অকাট্য প্রমাণ উপস্থিত কর।
তাদের রাসূলগণ তাদেরকে বললেন, সত্য বটে, আমরা তোমাদের মত মানুষই কিন্তু আল্লাহ তার বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছে অনুগ্রহ করেন এবং আল্লাহর অনুমতি ছাড়া তোমাদের কাছে প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করার সাধ্য আমাদের নেই । আর আল্লাহর উপরই মুমিনগণের নির্ভর করা উচিত ।
আর আমাদের কি হয়েছে যে, আমরা আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করব না? অথচ তিনিই তো আমাদেরকে আমাদের পথ দেখিয়েছেন। আর তোমরা আমাদেরকে যে কষ্ট দিচ্ছ, আমরা তাতে অবশ্যই ধৈর্য ধারণ করব। আর ভরসাকারীদের আল্লাহরই উপর ভরসা করা উচিত।
আর কাফিররা তাদের রাসূলদেরকে বলেছিল, আমরা তোমাদেরকে আমাদের দেশ হতে অবশ্যই বহিস্কৃত করব , অন্যথায় তোমাদেরকে অবশ্য অবশ্যই আমাদের ধর্মমতে ফিরে আসতে হবে। অতঃপর রসূলদের প্রতিপালক তাদের প্রতি অহী (প্রত্যাদেশ) প্রেরণ করলেন, ‘সীমালংঘনকারীদেরকে আমি অবশ্যই ধ্বংস করব।
তাদের পরে আমি অবশ্যই তোমাদেরকে দেশে পুনর্বাসিত করব; এটা তাদের জন্য যারা ভয় রাখে আমার সম্মুখে দন্ডায়মান হওয়ার এবং ভয় রাখে আমার (শাস্তির) হুমকির।’
তারা (অর্থাৎ কাফিররা) চূড়ান্ত বিজয়ের ফায়সালা কামনা করেছিল, কিন্তু (আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলদের বিরোধিতা করার কারণে) প্রত্যেক উদ্ধত সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী ব্যর্থ হয়ে গেল।
তাদের প্রত্যেকের সম্মুখে রয়েছে জাহান্নাম এবং প্রত্যেককে পান করানো হবে পূঁজমিশ্রিত পানি।
সে তা গিলতে চাইবে এবং প্রায় সহজে সে তা গিলতে পারবে না। আর তার কাছে সকল স্থান থেকে মৃত্যু ধেঁয়ে আসবে, অথচ সে মরবে না। আর এর পরেও রয়েছে কঠিন আযাব ।
যারা তাদের রাব্বকে অস্বীকার করে তাদের উপমা - তাদের কাজসমূহ ছাই সদৃশ যা ঝড়ের দিনে বাতাস প্রচন্ড বেগে উড়িয়ে নিয়ে যায়; যা তারা উপার্জন করে তার কিছুই তারা তাদের কাজে লাগাতে পারেনা; এটাতো ঘোর বিভ্রান্তি।

Has there not reached you the news of those before you - the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud and those after them? No one knows them but Allah. Their messengers brought them clear proofs, but they returned their hands to their mouths and said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."
Their messengers said, "Can there be doubt about Allah, Creator of the heavens and earth? He invites you that He may forgive you of your sins, and He delays your death for a specified term." They said, "You are not but men like us who wish to avert us from what our fathers were worshipping. So bring us a clear authority."
Their messengers said to them, "We are only men like you, but Allah confers favor upon whom He wills of His servants. It has never been for us to bring you evidence except by permission of Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely.
And why should we not rely upon Allah while He has guided us to our [good] ways. And we will surely be patient against whatever harm you should cause us. And upon Allah let those who would rely [indeed] rely."
And those who disbelieved said to their messengers, "We will surely drive you out of our land, or you must return to our religion." So their Lord inspired to them, "We will surely destroy the wrongdoers.
And We will surely cause you to dwell in the land after them. That is for he who fears My position and fears My threat."
And they requested victory from Allah, and disappointed, [therefore], was every obstinate tyrant.
Before him is Hell, and he will be given a drink of purulent water.
He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment.
The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single] thing. That is what is extreme error.

Surah 14 | Ibrahim | ইবরাহীম Verse: 21 - 22

আর তারা সবাই আল্লাহর সামনে হাজির হবে, অতঃপর যারা অহঙ্কার করেছে দুর্বলরা তাদেরকে বলবে, ‘নিশ্চয় আমরা তোমাদের অনুসারী ছিলাম। সুতরাং তোমরা কি আল্লাহর আযাবের মোকাবেলায় আমাদের কোন উপকারে আসবে’? তারা বলবে, আল্লাহ্‌ আমাদেরকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করলে আমরাও তোমাদেরকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করতাম। এখন আমরা ধৈর্যচ্যুত হই অথবা ধৈর্যশীল হই- উভয় অবস্থাই আমাদের জন্য সমান; আমাদের কোন পালানোর জায়গা নেই।
আর যখন বিচারের কাজ সম্পন্ন হবে তখন শয়তান বলবে, আল্লাহ তো তোমাদেরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন সত্য প্রতিশ্রুতি আমিও তোমাদেরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু আমি তোমাদেরকে দেয়া প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গ করেছি। আমার তো তোমাদের উপর কোন আধিপত্য ছিল না, আমি শুধু তোমাদেরকে ডাকছিলাম তাতে তোমরা আমার ডাকে সাড়া দিয়েছিলে। কাজেই তোমরা আমাকে তিরস্কার করো না, তোমরা নিজেদেরই তিরস্কার কর। আমি তোমাদের উদ্ধারকারী নই এবং তোমরাও আমার উদ্ধারকারী নও। তোমরা যে আগে আমাকে আল্লাহর শরীক করেছিলে আমি তা অস্বীকার করছি। নিশ্চয় যালিমদের জন্য রয়েছে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি।

And they will come out [for judgement] before Allah all together, and the weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Indeed, we were your followers, so can you avail us anything against the punishment of Allah?" They will say, "If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It is all the same for us whether we show intolerance or are patient: there is for us no place of escape."
And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allah] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment."

Surah 15 | Al-Hijr | আল-হিজর | Verse: 80 - 86

হিজরবাসীরা [সামুদ] রাসূলদের প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছিল। আমরা তাদেরকে আমাদের নিদর্শন দিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু তারা তা উপেক্ষা করেছিল। তারা পাহাড় কেটে গৃহ নির্মাণ করত নিরাপদ বসবাসের জন্য। অতঃপর এক সকালে প্রচন্ড ধ্বনি তাদের উপর আঘাত হানল। আর তারা যা উপার্জন করত, তা তাদের কাজে আসল না। আর আমি আসমানসমূহ, যমীন ও এ দুয়ের মধ্যে যা আছে, তা যথার্থতা ছাড়া সৃষ্টি করিনি এবং নিশ্চয় কিয়ামত আসবে। সুতরাং তুমি সুন্দরভাবে তাদেরকে এড়িয়ে যাও। নিশ্চয় আপনার রব, তিনিই মহাস্রষ্টা, মহাজ্ঞানী।
And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. But the shriek seized them at early morning. So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator.

Surah 17 | Al-Isra | আল-ইসরা (বনী-ইসরাঈল) | Verse: 58 - 59

আর এমন কোন জনপদ নেই যা আমরা কিয়ামতের দিনের আগে ধ্বংস করব না অথবা যাকে কঠোর শাস্তি দেব না; এটা তো কিতাবে লিপিবদ্ধ আছে।
আমরা নিদর্শন প্রেরণ করা হতে এজন্য বিরত থাকি যে, পূর্বের লোকেরা তা মিথ্যা মনে ক’রে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল । আমরা সামূদ জাতির নিকট উষ্ট্রী পাঠিয়েছিলাম এক প্রত্যক্ষ নিদর্শন হিসেবে কিন্তু তারা তার প্রতি যুলম করেছিল । আমরা তো শুধু ভয় দেখানোর জন্যই নিদর্শন পাঠিয়ে থাকি ।

And there is no city but that We will destroy it before the Day of Resurrection or punish it with a severe punishment. That has ever been in the Register inscribed.
And nothing has prevented Us from sending signs except that the former peoples denied them. And We gave Thamud the she-camel as a visible sign, but they wronged her. And We send not the signs except as a warning.

Surah 25 | Al-Furqan | আল-ফুরকান | Verse: 35 - 39

আর আমরা তো মূসাকে কিতাব দিয়েছিলাম এবং তার সাথে তাঁর ভাই হারূনকে সাহায্যকারী করেছিলাম ।
অতঃপর আমরা বলেছিলাম, তোমরা সে সম্প্রদায়ের (ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায়) কাছে যাও যারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীতে মিথ্যারোপ করেছে । তারপর আমরা তাদেরকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে বিধ্বস্ত করেছিলাম ।
আর নূহের সম্প্রদায়কেও, যখন তারা রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করল তখন আমরা তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিলাম এবং তাদেরকে মানুষের জন্য নিদর্শনস্বরূপ করে রাখলাম । আর সীমালংঘনকারীদের জন্য আমরা মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি ।
আর আমরা ধ্বংস করেছিলাম ‘আদ, সামুদ, রাস’ এর অধিবাসীকে এবং তাদের অন্তর্বর্তীকালের বহু প্ৰজন্মকেও ৷
আর আমরা তাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্য দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছিলাম (যাতে তারা সঠিক পথের সন্ধান পেতে পারে) এবং তাদের সকলকেই আমরা সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করেছিলাম (তাদের পাপের কারণে) ।

And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.
And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.
And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.
And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.

Surah 26 | Ash-Shu'ara | আশ-শুআ'রা | Verse: 141 - 159

সামূদ সম্প্রদায় রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল ।
যখন তাদের ভাই সালিহ তাদেরকে বলেছিল - তোমরা কি (আল্লাহকে) ভয় করবে না ?
আমি তো তোমাদের জন্য এক বিশ্বস্ত রাসূল ।
অতএব তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আনুগত্য কর ।
আর আমি তোমাদের কাছে এর জন্য কোন প্রতিদান চাই না , আমার প্রতিদান তো সৃষ্টিকুলের রব-এর কাছেই আছে ।
তোমাদেরকে কি এ জগতে ভোগ বিলাসের মধ্যে নিরাপদে ছেড়ে দেয়া হবে ?
উদ্যানরাজি আর ঝার্ণাসমূহে ।
আর শষ্যক্ষেতে এবং সুকোমল গুচ্ছ বিশিষ্ট খেজুর বাগানে ?
আর তোমরা নৈপুণ্যের সাথে পাহাড় কেটে ঘর নির্মাণ করছ ।
তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আনুগত্য কর ।
আর তোমরা সীমালংঘনকারীদের নির্দেশের আনুগত্য করো না ;
যারা পৃথিবীতে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করে এবং শান্তি স্থাপন করে না ।
তারা বলল , তুমি তো জাদুগ্ৰস্তাদের অন্যতম ।
তুমি তো আমাদের মতই একজন মানুষ , কাজেই তুমি যদি সত্যবাদী হও তবে একটি নিদর্শন উপস্থিত কর ।
সালিহ বললেন, এটা একটা উষ্ট্রী, এর জন্য আছে পানি পানের পালা এবং তোমাদের জন্য আছে নির্ধারিত দিনে পানি পানের পালা । [এই সেই উটনী, যা তাদের দাবীর পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে পাহাড়ের এক পাথর হতে মু’জিযাস্বরূপ বের হয়েছিল । ]
এবং তোমরা ওর কোন অনিষ্ট সাধন করো না ; তাহলে মহা দিনের শাস্তি তোমাদের উপর আপতিত হবে ।
অতঃপর তারা সেটাকে হত্যা করল , পরিণামে তারা অনুতপ্ত হল ।
অতঃপর শাস্তি ওদেরকে গ্রাস করল । এতে অবশ্যই রয়েছে নিদর্শন, কিন্তু ওদের অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাস করে না ।
আর নিঃসন্দেহে আপনার রব , তিনি তো মহাপরাক্রমশালী , পরম দয়ালু্ ।

Thamud denied the messengers
When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
So fear Allah and obey me.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds .
Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death],
Within gardens and springs
And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit ?
And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill.
So fear Allah and obey me.
And do not obey the order of the transgressors,
Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend."
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.
You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."
He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day. [This is the she-camel that, as a miracle, emerged from a rock of the mountain in response to their demand.]
And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."
But they hamstrung her and so became regretful.
And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Surah 27 | An-Naml | আন-নামাল Verse: 45 - 53

আর অবশ্যই আমরা সামূদ সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে তাদের ভাই সালেহকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম। এ আদেশসহ যে, তোমরা আল্লাহর ইবাদাত কর , এতে তারা দু’দলে বিভক্ত হয়ে বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হল।
তিনি বললেন, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! তোমরা কেন কল্যাণের আগে অকল্যাণ ত্বরান্বিত করতে চাচ্ছ? কেন তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করছ না, যাতে তোমরা রহমত পেতে পার?
তারা বলল, তোমাকে ও তোমার সঙ্গে যারা আছে তাদেরকে আমরা অমঙ্গলের কারণ মনে করি। সালেহ বললেন, ‘তোমাদের শুভাশুভ আল্লাহর এখতিয়ারে, বস্তুতঃ তোমরা এমন এক সম্প্রদায় যাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করা হচ্ছে।
আর সেই শহরে ছিল এমন নয় ব্যক্তি যারা দেশে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টি করত এবং সৎ কাজ করতনা।
তারা বলল, ‘তোমরা আল্লাহর নামে শপথ গ্রহণ কর যে, আমরা রাত্রিকালে তাকে ও তার পরিবার-পরিজনকে অবশ্যই হত্যা করব; অতঃপর তার দাবিদারকে নিশ্চয় বলব, তার পরিবার-পরিজনকে হত্যা আমরা প্রত্যক্ষ করিনি; আমরা অবশ্যই সত্যবাদী।’

[ আমরা সবাই ( নয় ব্যক্তি) মিলে রাতের অন্ধকারে সালেহ (আঃ) ও তার জ্ঞাতিগোষ্ঠীর উপর হানা দেব এবং সবাইকে হত্যা করব। এরপর তার হত্যার দাবীদার তদন্ত করলে আমরা বলে দেব, আমরা তো তাকে হত্যা করিনি এবং কাউকে হত্যা করতেও দেখিনি। একথায় আমরা সত্যবাদী গণ্য হব। ইবন কাসীর; ফাতহুল কাদীর ]

আর তারা এক চক্রান্ত করেছিল এবং আমরাও এক কৌশল অবলম্বন করলাম, অথচ তারা উপলব্ধিও করতে পারেনি।
অতএব দেখুন, তাদের চক্রান্তের পরিণাম কি হয়েছে—আমরা তো তাদেরকে ও তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের সকলকে ধ্বংস করেছি।
সুতরাং এ তো তাদের ঘরবাড়ী—যুলুমের কারণে যা জনশূন্য অবস্থায় পড়ে আছে; নিশ্চয় এতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে, সে সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য যারা জানে।
আর যারা ঈমান এনেছিল ও (আল্লাহকে) ভয় করত তাদেরকে রক্ষা করেছিলাম।

And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother Salih, [saying], "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting.
He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy?"
They said, "We consider you a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested."
And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs].
They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.' "

[ We, all nine individuals together, will attack Saleh (AS) and his people in the darkness of the night and kill them all. Then, if an investigation is conducted regarding his murder, we will say, "We did not kill him, nor did we see anyone killing him." In this way, we will be considered truthful. — Ibn Kathir; Fathul Qadeer ]

And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.
Then look how was the outcome of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all.
So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know.
And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.

Surah 29 | Al-Ankabut | আল-আনকাবূত | Verse: 38

আর আমরা আ’দ ও সামূদকে ধ্বংস করেছিলাম ; ওদের বাড়ি-ঘরই তোমাদের জন্য এর সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ । শয়তান ওদের কাজকে ওদের দৃষ্টিতে সুশোভিত করেছিল এবং ওদেরকে সৎপথ অবম্বনে বাধা দিয়েছিল ; যদিও ওরা ছিল বিচক্ষণ ।
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 41 - 42

মানুষের কৃতকর্মের কারণে সমুদ্রে ও স্থলে বিপর্যয় ছড়িয়ে পড়ে , যার ফলে তাদেরকে কোন কোন কর্মের শাস্তি তিনি আস্বাদন করান, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে (সৎপথে) ।
বলুন , তোমরা পৃথিবীতে পরিভ্রমণ করে দেখ, তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছে । ওদের অধিকাংশই ছিল অংশীবাদী ।

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah].

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 44 - 45

যে অবিশ্বাস করে, অবিশ্বাসের জন্য সে-ই দায়ী ; যারা সৎ কাজ করে তারা নিজেদেরই জন্য রচনা করে শান্তির আবাস ।
যেন তিনি স্বীয় অনুগ্রহে প্রতিদান দেন, যারা ঈমান আনে এবং সৎকাজ করে তাদেরকে। নিশ্চয় তিনি কাফিরদের ভালবাসেন না ।

Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing,
That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

Surah 35 | Fatir | ফাতির | Verse: 18 - 26

কোন বহনকারী অন্যের (পাপের) বোঝা বহন করবে না, কোন (পাপে) ভারাক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি যদি কেহকে ও এটা বহন করতে আহবান করে তাহলে তার কিছুই বহন করা হবেনা , নিকট আত্মীয় হলেও । আপনি শুধু তাদেরকেই সতর্ক করতে পারেন যারা তাদের রবকে না দেখে ভয় করে এবং সালাত কায়েম করে । আর যে কেউ নিজেকে পরিশোধন করে , সে তো পরিশোধন করে নিজেরই কল্যাণের জন্য। আর আল্লাহরই দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন ।
সমান নয় অন্ধ ও চক্ষুষ্মান ,
আর না অন্ধকার ও আলো ,
আর না ছায়া ও রোদ ,
এবং সমান নয় জীবিত ও মৃত । আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা শ্রবণ করান ; আর আপনি শোনাতে পারবেন না যারা কবরে রয়েছে তাদেরকে ।
আপনি তো একজন সতর্ককারী মাত্র ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা আপনাকে সত্যসহ পাঠিয়েছি সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে ; আর এমন কোন সম্প্রদায় নেই যার নিকট সতর্ককারী প্রেরিত হয়নি ।
আর তারা যদি আপনার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তবে এদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও তো মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছিল — তাদের কাছে এসেছিল তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি , গ্রন্থাদি ও দীপ্তিমান কিতাবসহ ।
তারপর যারা কুফরি করেছিল আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম । সুতরাং (দেখে নিন) কেমন ছিল আমার প্রত্যাখ্যান (শাস্তি) !

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.
Not equal are the blind and the seeing,
Nor are the darknesses and the light,
Nor are the shade and the heat ,
And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves
You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner.
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

Surah 38 | Ṣād | সোয়াদ | Verse: 12 - 20

এদের পূর্বেও রসূলদেরকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছিল , নূহ, আ’দ ও বহু শিবিরের অধিপতি ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায় ।
সামূদ , লুত সম্প্রদায় ও আইকা'র অধিবাসী (শুআইব সম্প্রদায়) ওরা ছিল এক - একটি বিশাল বাহিনী ।
তাদের প্রত্যেকেই রাসূলগণের প্ৰতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল । ফলে তাদের ক্ষেত্রে আমার শান্তি ছিল অবধারিত ।
এরা তো অপেক্ষা করছে এক মহাগর্জনের , যাতে কোন বিরতি থাকবে না ।
আর তারা বলে, হে আমাদের রব ! হিসাব দিবসের আগেই আমাদের প্ৰাপ্য আমাদেরকে শীঘ্রই দিয়ে দিন !
তারা যা বলে তাতে আপনি ধৈর্য ধারণ করুন এবং স্মরণ করুন আমাদের শক্তিশালী বান্দা দাউদের কথা ; তিনি ছিলেন খুব বেশী আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা অনুগত করেছিলাম পর্বতমালাকে , যেন এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তার (দাউদ (আঃ) সাথে আমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করে ,
আর সমবেত পাখীদেরকেও (অনুগত করেছিলাম) তার , প্রত্যেকেই ছিল অধিক আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
আর আমরা তার রাজ্যকে সুদৃঢ় করেছিলাম , আর তাকে দিয়েছিলাম জ্ঞান-বুদ্ধি-বিচক্ষণতা আর বিচারকার্য ও কথাবার্তায় উত্তম সিদ্ধান্ত দানের যোগ্যতা ।

The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes,
And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies.
Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified.
And these [disbelievers] await not but one blast [of the Horn]; for it there will be no delay.
And they say, "Our Lord, hasten for us our share [of the punishment] before the Day of Account
Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah].
Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him (David), exalting [Allah] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise.
And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises].
And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech.

Surah 41 | Fussilat | ফুসসিলাত | Verse: 15 - 18

আ’দ সম্প্রদায়ের ব্যাপার তো এই যে , ওরা পৃথিবীতে অযথা দম্ভ করত এবং বলত , ‘আমাদের অপেক্ষা অধিক শক্তিশালী কে আছে ? তবে কি তারা লক্ষ্য করেনি যে , নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ , যিনি তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন , তিনি তাদের চেয়ে অধিক শক্তিশালী ? আর তারা আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলীকে অস্বীকার করত ।
তারপর আমরা তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করলাম ঝঞ্ঝাবায়ু অশুভ দিনগুলোতে ; যাতে আমরা তাদের আস্বাদন করাতে পারি । দুনিয়ার জীবনের লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তি । আর আখিরাতের শাস্তি তো তার চেয়ে বেশী লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক এবং তাদেরকে সাহায্য করা হবে না ।
আর সামূদ সম্প্রদায় , আমরা তাদেরকে পথনির্দেশ করেছিলাম , কিন্তু তারা সৎপথের পরিবর্তে ভ্রান্তপথ অবলম্বন করেছিল । ফলে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তির বজ্রাঘাত তাদের পাকড়াও করল ; তারা যা অর্জন করেছিল তার জন্য ।
আর আমরা রক্ষা করলাম তাদেরকে, যারা ঈমান এনেছিল এবং (আল্লাহকে) ভয় করে চলত ।

As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.
So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.
And as for Thamud, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn.
And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.

Surah 43 | Az-Zukhruf | আয-যুখরুফ | Verse: 6 - 25

পূর্বেকার জাতিগুলোর মধ্যে আমরা বহু নবী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ,
আর যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন নবী এসেছে তারা তাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করেছে ।
ফলে আমরা ধ্বংস করেছি তাদেরকে যারা ছিল এদের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি শক্তিশালী । আর পূর্ববর্তীদের দৃষ্টান্ত অতীত হয়ে গেছে ।
আর আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন , কে আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছে ? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে , এগুলো তো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ (আল্লাহ) ।
যিনি তোমাদের জন্য যমীনকে করেছেন বিস্তৃত , আর তাতে তোমাদের জন্য বানিয়েছেন চলার পথ - যাতে তোমরা সঠিক পথ পেতে পার ।
আর যিনি আসমান থেকে পরিমিতভাবে পানি বর্ষণ করেন । অতঃপর আমি তা দ্বারা মৃত জনপদকে সঞ্জীবিত করি । এভাবেই তোমাদেরকে পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে ।
আর যিনি সকল প্রকারের জোড়া যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যিনি তোমাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন এমন নৌযান ও গৃহপালিত জন্তু যাতে তোমরা আরোহণ কর ;
যাতে তোমরা এর পিঠে স্থির হয়ে বসতে পার , তারপর তোমাদের রবের অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ করবে যখন তোমরা এর উপর স্থির হয়ে বসবে; এবং বলবে , পবিত্ৰ-মহান তিনি, যিনি এগুলোকে আমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছেন । আর আমরা সমর্থ ছিলাম না , এদেরকে বশীভূত করতে ।
আর নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের রবের কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী ।
আর তারা তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে তাঁর অংশ সাব্যস্ত করেছে । নিশ্চয়ই মানুষ স্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ ।
তিনি কি তাঁর সৃষ্টি হতে নিজে কন্যা-সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান ?
দয়াময় আল্লাহর প্রতি তারা যা আরোপ করে (কন্যা-সন্তান) তাদের কেহকে সেই সন্তানের সংবাদ দেয়া হলে তার মুখমণ্ডল কালো হয়ে যায় এবং সে দুঃসহ মর্ম যাতনায় ক্লিষ্ট হয় ।
তারা কি আল্লাহর প্রতি আরোপ করে এমন সন্তান, যে অলংকারে আবৃত হয়ে লালিত পালিত হয় এবং তর্ক-বিতর্ক কালে স্পষ্ট যুক্তি দানে অসমর্থ ?
আর তারা দয়াময় আল্লাহর বান্দা ফেরেশতাগণকে নারী গণ্য করেছে ; এদের সৃষ্টি কি তারা দেখেছিল ? তাদের উক্তি লিপিবদ্ধ করা হবে এবং তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে ।
তারা আরও বলে , দয়াময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আমরা এদের পূজা করতাম না । এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই ; তারা তো শুধু অনুমান-ভিত্তিক কথাই বলে ।
নাকি আমরা তাদেরকে কুরআনের আগে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি । অতঃপর তারা তা দৃঢ়ভাবে ধারণ করে আছে ?
বরং তারা বলে , নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এক মতাদর্শের উপর পেয়েছি এবং নিশ্চয় আমরা তাদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণে হেদায়াতপ্ৰাপ্ত হব ।
আর এভাবেই আপনার পূর্বে কোন জনপদে যখনই আমরা কোন সতর্ককারী পাঠিয়েছি তখনই তার বিত্তশালী লোকেরা বলেছে , নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এক মতাদর্শে পেয়েছি এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে থাকব ।
(প্রত্যেক সতর্ককারী) বলেছে , তোমরা তোমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে যে পথে পেয়েছ , আমি যদি তোমাদের জন্য তার চেয়ে উৎকৃষ্ট পথ-নির্দেশ আনয়ন করি তবুও কি তোমরা তাদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করবে ? তারা বলতঃ তোমরা যা সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ আমরা তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করি ।
ফলে আমরা তাদের উপর প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করলাম , সুতরাং দেখুন , মিথ্যারোপকারীদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছে !

And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.
And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
[The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guided
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth -
And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount.
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful.
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons ?
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]?
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]
And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
And they said , " If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them ." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying .
Or have We given them a book before the Qur'an to which they are adhering?
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
So we took retribution from them; then see how was the end of the deniers.

Surah 50 | Qaf | কাফ | Verse: 12 - 14

তাদের পূর্বেও সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায় , রা'স ও সামূদ সম্প্রদায়
আদ, ফির‘আউন ও লূত সম্প্রদায় ।
আর আইকার অধিবাসী ও তুব্বা সম্প্রদায়; তারা সকলেই রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল, ফলে তাদের উপর আমার শাস্তি যথার্থভাবে আপতিত হয়েছে ।

The people of Noah denied before them , and the companions of the well and Thamud
And ' Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba '. All denied the messengers , so My threat was justly fulfilled .

Surah 51 | Adh-Dhariyat | আয-যারিয়াত | Verse: 43 - 45

আর সামূদ জাতির ঘটনায়ও ( নিদর্শন রয়েছে ) । যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়েছিল , ‘ একটি নির্দিষ্ট কাল পর্যন্ত ভোগ করে নাও ’।
কিন্তু তারা তাদের প্রতিপালকের আদেশ অমান্য করল ; ফলে তাদের প্রতি বজ্রাঘাত হল এবং তারা দেখছিল ।
অতঃপর তারা উঠে দাঁড়াতে পারল না এবং প্রতিরোধ করতেও পারল না ।

And in Thamud , when it was said to them , " Enjoy yourselves for a time ."
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord , so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on .
And they were unable to arise , nor could they defend themselves .

Surah 53 | An-Najm | আন-নাজম | Verse: 50 - 55

আর এই যে, তিনিই প্রাচীন আদ সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করেছিলেন,
এবং সামূদ সম্প্রদায়কেও; অতঃপর কাউকেও তিনি বাকী রাখেননি ।
আর এদের আগে নূহের সম্প্রদায়কেও, নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল অত্যন্ত যালিম ও চরম অবাধ্য।
আর তিনি (লূত জাতির) উল্টানো আবাসভূমিকে নিক্ষেপ করেছিলেন ,
অতঃপর সেটাকে আচ্ছন্ন করল যা আচ্ছন্ন করার!
সুতরাং (হে মানুষ!) তুমি তোমার রবের কোন অনুগ্রহ সম্পর্কে সন্দেহ পোষণ করবে?

And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad
And Thamud - and He did not spare [them]
And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.
And the overturned towns He hurled down ,
And covered them by that which He covered.
Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 23 - 31

সামূদ সম্প্রদায় সতর্ককারীদের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল । তারা বলেছিল , ‘আমরা কি আমাদেরই মধ্যকার এক ব্যক্তির অনুসরণ করব ? তাহলে তো নিশ্চয় আমরা ভ্রষ্ট ও পাগলরূপে গণ্য হব । ‘ আমাদের মধ্য থেকে কি তার ওপরই উপদেশবাণী পাঠানো হয়েছে ? বরং সে তো একজন মিথ্যাবাদী, দাম্ভিক । ’ আগামীকাল তারা জানবে , কে মিথ্যাবাদী , দাম্ভিক । নিশ্চয় আমি তাদের পরীক্ষার জন্যে এক উষ্ট্রী পাঠাব ;অতএব তুমি ( হে স্বালেহ ) তাদের আচরণ লক্ষ্য কর এবং ধৈর্যশীল হও । আর তুমি তাদেরকে জানিয়ে দাও যে , তাদের মধ্যে পানি বণ্টন নির্ধারিত এবং পানির অংশের জন্য প্রত্যেকে হাজির হবে পালাক্রমে । অতঃপর তারা তাদের এক সঙ্গীকে আহবান করল , সে ওকে (উষ্ট্রীকে) ধরে হত্যা করল । ফলে কত ভয়ংকর হয়েছিল আমার ‘ আযাব ও ভীতি প্রদর্শন । নিশ্চয় আমরা তাদের উপর পাঠিয়েছিলাম এক বিকট আওয়াজ ; ফলে তারা হয়ে গেল খোয়াড় প্ৰস্তুতকারীর বিখণ্ডিত শুষ্ক খড়ের ন্যায় ।
Thamud denied the warning . And said , " Is it one human being among us that we should follow ? Indeed , we would then be in error and madness . Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather , he is an insolent liar . " They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar . Indeed , We are sending the she-camel as trial for them , so watch them and be patient . And inform them that the water is shared between them , each [day of] drink attended [by turn] . But they called their companion , and he dared and hamstrung [her] . And how [severe] were My punishment and warning . Indeed , We sent upon them one blast from the sky , and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen .

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 51

আর আমি তো তোমাদের মত অনেককে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি , অতএব কোন উপদেশ গ্রহণকারী আছে কি ?
And We have already destroyed your kinds , so is there any who will remember ?

Surah 69 | Al-Haqqa | আল-হাক্কাহ | Verse: 1 - 37

অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা ( কিয়ামত ) ।
কী সেই অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা ?
আর কিসে আপনাকে জানাবে সে অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা কী ?
আদ ও সামূদ জাতি সেই আকস্মিকভাবে সংঘটিতব্য মহাবিপদকে মিথ্যে বলেছিল ।
অতঃপর সামূদ সম্প্রদায়, তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল এক প্ৰলয়ংকর বিপর্যয়কারী প্ৰচণ্ড চীৎকার দ্বারা ।
আর ‘ আদ সম্প্রদায়, তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল প্রচন্ড ঠান্ডা ঝঞ্ঝাবায়ু দ্বারা ।
যা তিনি তাদের উপর প্রবাহিত করেছিলেন সাতরাত ও আটদিন বিরামহীনভাবে ; তখন আপনি উক্ত সম্প্রদায়কে দেখতেন — তারা সেখানে লুটিয়ে পড়ে আছে সারশূন্য খেজুর কাণ্ডের ন্যায় ।
অতঃপর তাদের কাউকে ও আপনি বিদ্যমান দেখতে পান কি ?
আর ফিরআউন, তার পূর্ববর্তীরা এবং উল্টে যাওয়া বস্তিবাসীরা ( লূত সম্প্রদায় ) পাপ করেছিল।
তারা তাদের প্রতিপালকের রসূলকে অমান্য করেছিল , ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে অতি কঠোরভাবে পাকড়াও করলেন ।
যখন জলোচ্ছ্বাস হল , অবশ্যই তখন আমি তোমাদেরকে নৌযানে আরোহণ করিয়েছি ।
আমরা এটা করেছিলাম তোমাদের শিক্ষার জন্য এবং এজন্যে যে, যাতে শ্রুতিধর কান এটা সংরক্ষণ করে।
অতঃপর যখন শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেওয়া হবে একটি মাত্র ফুৎকার ।
তখন পর্বতমালা সহ পৃথিবী উৎক্ষিপ্ত হবে এবং একই ধাক্কায় ওগুলো চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হয়ে যাবে ।
সেদিন সংঘটিত হবে মহাঘটনা (কিয়ামত)।
আর আসমান বিদীর্ণ হয়ে যাবে । ফলে সেদিন তা হয়ে যাবে দুর্বল বিক্ষিপ্ত ।
আর ফেরেশতাগণ আসমানের প্রান্ত দেশে থাকবে এবং সেদিন আটজন ফিরিশতা আপনার রবের আরশকে ধারণ করবে তাদের উপরে ।
সেদিন উপস্থিত করা হবে তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমাদের কোন গোপনই আর গোপন থাকবে না ।
তখন যাকে তার আমলনামা তার ডান হাতে দেয়া হবে, সে বলবে , ‘ এই যে আমার ‘আমালানামা পড়ে দেখ ,
আমার পূর্ণ বিশ্বাস ছিল যে , আমাকে আমার হিসাবের সম্মুখীন হতে হবে । ’
কাজেই সে যাপন করবে সন্তোষজনক জীবন ;
সুউচ্চ জান্নাতে
যার ফলরাশি অবনমিত থাকবে নাগালের মধ্যে ।
( তাদেরকে বলা হবে, ) ‘ পানাহার কর তৃপ্তির সাথে , তোমরা অতীত দিনে যা করেছিলে তার বিনিময়ে ।’
কিন্তু যার আমলনামা তার বাম হাতে দেওয়া হবে , সে বলবে , ‘ হায় ! আমাকে যদি দেওয়াই না হত আমার আমলনামা ।
এবং আমি যদি না জানতাম আমার হিসাব ।
হায় ! আমার মৃত্যুই যদি আমার শেষ হত !
আমার ধন-সম্পদ আমার কোন কাজেই এল না ।
আমার ক্ষমতাও আমার থেকে চলে গেল !
ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলা হবে , ধর তাকে , তার গলায় বেড়ী পরিয়ে দাও ।
‘ তারপর তাকে তোমরা নিক্ষেপ কর জাহান্নামে ’ ।
তারপর ওকে শিকল দিয়ে বাঁধ- সত্তর হাত দীর্ঘ এক শিকলে ,
নিশ্চয় সে মহান আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমানদার ছিল না ,
আর অভাবগ্রস্তকে খাদ্যদানে উৎসাহিত করত না ।
অতএব আজ এখানে তার কোন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু থাকবে না ।
এবং কোন খাদ্য থাকবে না ক্ষতনিঃসৃত পুঁজ ব্যতীত ।
যা অপরাধী ছাড়া কেউ খাবে না ।

The Inevitable Reality .
What is the Inevitable Reality ?
And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality ?
Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity .
So as for Thamud , they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].
And as for 'Aad , they were destroyed by a screaming , violent wind
Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession , so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
Then do you see of them any remains ? -And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.
And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].
Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.
Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow
Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm .
And the angels are at its edges . And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them , that Day , eight [of them] .
That Day , you will be exhibited [for judgement] ; not hidden among you is anything concealed .
So as for he who is given his record in his right hand , he will say , " Here , read my record !
Indeed , I was certain that I would be meeting my account ."
So he will be in a pleasant life
In an elevated garden ,
Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near .
[They will be told] , " Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past ."
But as for he who is given his record in his left hand , he will say , " Oh , I wish I had not been given my record
And had not known what is my account .
I wish my death had been the decisive one .
My wealth has not availed me .
Gone from me is my authority .
[Allah will say] , " Seize him and shackle him .
Then into Hellfire drive him .
Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him ."
Indeed , he did not used to believe in Allah , the Most Great ,
Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor .
So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend
Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds ;
None will eat it except the sinners .

Surah 89 | Al-Fajr | আল-ফাজর | Verse: 6 - 14

আপনি দেখেননি আপনার রব কিরূপ আচরণ করেছিলেন ‘আদ জাতির সাথে ?
ইরাম গোত্রের সাথে, যারা ছিল সুউচ্চ স্তম্ভের অধিকারী ?
যার সমতুল্য জাতি অন্য কোন দেশে সৃষ্টি হয়নি।
এবং সামূদ জাতির সাথে? যারা উপত্যকায় পাথর কেটে গৃহ নির্মাণ করেছিল?
এবং বহু সৈন্য শিবিরের অধিপতি ফিরাউনের সাথে?
যারা দেশের মধ্যে উদ্ধত আচরণ করেছিল।
অনন্তর সেখানে তারা বিপর্যয় বৃদ্ধি করেছিল।
ফলে আপনার রব তাদের উপর শাস্তির কশাঘাত হানলেন।
নিশ্চয় আপনার রব সতর্ক দৃষ্টি রাখেন।

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes?
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
And increased therein the corruption.
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
Indeed, your Lord is in observation.

Surah 91 | Ash-Shams | আশ-শামস | Verse: 11 - 15

সামূদ সম্প্রদায় অবাধ্যতাবশতঃ (সত্যকে) মিথ্যা জ্ঞান করল।
তাদের মধ্যে যে সর্বাধিক হতভাগ্য, সে যখন তৎপর হয়ে উঠল,
তখন আল্লাহর রাসূল (সালিহ) তাদেরকে বলল, ‘আল্লাহর উষ্ট্রী , একে পানি পান করতে বাধা দিও না ।
কিন্তু তারা তার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করল এবং উষ্ট্রীকে জবাই করল। ফলে তাদের পাপের জন্য তাদের রব তাদেরকে সমুলে ধ্বংস করে একাকার করে দিলেন।
আর তিনি ( আল্লাহ ) এর পরিণামকে ভয় করেন না।

Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,
When the most wretched of them was sent forth.
And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."
But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].
And He [ Allah ] does not fear the consequence thereof.
