যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |
যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. আর অবশ্যই আমার ফেরেশতারা সুসংবাদ নিয়ে ইবরাহীমের কাছে আসল , তারা বলল , ‘ সালাম ’। সেও বলল , ‘ সালাম ’। বিলম্ব না করে সে একটি ভুনা গো বাছুর নিয়ে আসল ।
অতঃপর তিনি যখন দেখলেন তাদের হাত সেটার দিকে প্রসারিত হচ্ছে না , তখন তাদেরকে অবাঞ্ছিত মনে করলেন এবং তাদের সম্বন্ধে তার মনে ভীতি সঞ্চার হল । তারা বলল , ভয় করবেন না , আমরা তো লুতের সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি ।
আর তার স্ত্রী দাঁড়ানো ছিলেন , অতঃপর তিনি হেসে ফেললেন । অতঃপর আমরা তাকে ইসহাকের ও ইসহাকের পরবর্তী ইয়াকুবের সুসংবাদ দিলাম ।
সে বলল , ‘ হায় , কী আশ্চর্য ! আমি কি সন্তান প্রসব করব অথচ আমি বৃদ্ধা এবং আমার এই স্বামীও বৃদ্ধ ! বাস্তবিকই এটা তো একটা বিস্ময়কর ব্যাপার !’
তারা বলল , ‘ আল্লাহর কাজে তুমি আশ্চর্য হচ্ছ , ওহে (ইবরাহীমের) পরিবারবর্গ! তোমাদের উপর রয়েছে আল্লাহর দয়া ও বরকতসমূহ , তিনি বড়ই প্রশংসিত , বড়ই মহান ।’
অতঃপর যখন ইব্রাহীমের সেই ভয় দূর হয়ে গেল এবং সে সুসংবাদ প্রাপ্ত হল , তখন আমার (প্রেরিত ফিরিশতাদের) সাথে লূত-সম্প্রদায় সম্বন্ধে বাদানুবাদ করতে লাগলেন ।
নিশ্চয় ইবরাহীম অত্যন্ত সহনশীল , অধিক অনুনয় বিনয়কারী , আল্লাহমুখী ।
হে ইবরাহীম , তুমি এ থেকে বিরত হও । নিশ্চয় তোমার রবের সিদ্ধান্ত এসে গেছে এবং নিশ্চয় তাদের উপর আসবে আযাব, যা প্রতিহত হবার নয় ।

And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings ; they said , "Peace ." He said , " Peace ," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf .
But when he saw their hands not reaching for it , he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension . They said , "Fear not . We have been sent to the people of Lot ."
And his Wife was standing , and she smiled . Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac , Jacob
She said, " Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband , is an old man ? Indeed, this is an amazing thing !"
They said , " Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house . Indeed , He is Praiseworthy and Honorable ."
And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him , he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot .
Indeed , Abraham was forbearing , grieving and [frequently] returning [to Allah] .
[The angels said] , "O Abraham, give up this [plea] . Indeed, the command of your Lord has come , and indeed , there will reach them a punishment that cannot be repelled ."

Surah 11 | Hud | হুদ | Verse: 77 - 80

আর যখন লূতের কাছে আমার ফেরেশতা আসল , তখন তাদের ( আগমনের ) কারণে তার অস্বস্তিবোধ হল এবং তার অন্তর খুব সঙ্কুচিত হয়ে গেল। আর সে বলল , ‘ এ তো কঠিন দিন ’।
আর তার সম্প্রদায় তার কাছে উদভ্ৰান্ত হয়ে ছুটে আসল এবং আগে থেকেই তারা কুকর্মে ছিল । তিনি বললেন, হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! এরা আমার কন্যা, তোমাদের জন্য এরা পবিত্র ( যদি তোমরা বিয়ে কর ) । কাজেই তোমরা আল্লাহর তাকওয়া অবলম্বন কর এবং আমার মেহমানদের ব্যাপারে আমাকে হেয় করো না । তোমাদের মধ্যে কি কোন সুবোধ ব্যক্তি নেই ?
তারা বলল , ‘ তুমি অবশ্যই জান , তোমার মেয়েদের ব্যাপারে আমাদের কোন প্রয়োজন নেই । আর আমরা কী চাই , তা তুমি নিশ্চয় জান ’।
তিনি বললেন , তোমাদের উপর যদি আমার শক্তি থাকত অথবা যদি আমি আশ্রয় নিতে পারতাম কোন সুদৃঢ় স্তম্ভের !

And when Our messengers , [the angels] , came to Lot , he was anguished for them and felt for them great discomfort and said , " This is a trying day ."
And his people came hastening to him , and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds . He said , "O my people , these are my daughters ; they are purer for you . So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests . Is there not among you a man of reason ?"
They said , " You have already known that we have not concerning your daughters any claim , and indeed , you know what we want ."
He said , " If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support ."

Surah 11 | Hud | হুদ | Verse: 81 - 83

তারা বলল , হে লুত ! নিশ্চয় আমরা আপনার রব প্রেরিত ফিরিশতা । তারা কখনই আপনার কাছে পৌছতে পারবে না । কাজেই আপনি রাতের কোন এক সময়ে আপনার পরিবারবর্গসহ বের হয়ে পড়ুন এবং আপনাদের মধ্যে কেউ পিছন দিকে তাকাবে না , আপনার স্ত্রী ছাড়া । তাদের যা ঘটবে তারও তাই ঘটবে । নিশ্চয় প্রভাত তাদের জন্য নির্ধারিত সময় । প্রভাত কি খুব কাছাকাছি নয় ?
অতঃপর যখন আমাদের আদেশ আসল তখন আমরা জনপদকে উল্টে দিলাম , এবং তাদের উপর ক্রমাগত বর্ষণ করলাম পোড়ামাটির পাথর ,
যা ( পোড়ামাটির পাথর ) আপনার রবের কাছে চিহ্নিত ছিল । আর এটা যালিমদের থেকে দূরে নয় ।

The angels said , " O Lot , indeed we are messengers of your Lord ; [therefore] , they will never reach you . So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back - except your wife ; indeed , she will be struck by that which strikes them . Indeed , their appointment is [for] the morning . Is not the morning near ?"
So when Our command came , We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of layered hard clay , [which were]
Marked from your Lord . And Allah 's punishment is not from the wrongdoers [very] far .

Surah 26 | Ash-Shu'ara | আশ-শুআ'রা | Verse: 160 - 175

লুতের সম্প্রদায় রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল ,
যখন তাদের ভাই লূত তাদেরকে বলেছিল - তোমরা কি (আল্লাহকে) ভয় করবে না ?
আমি তো তোমাদের জন্য এক বিশ্বস্ত রাসূল ।
সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আনুগত্য কর ।
আর আমি এর জন্য তোমাদের কাছে কোন প্রতিদান চাই না , আমার প্রতিদান তো সৃষ্টিকুলের রব-এর কাছেই আছে ।
সৃষ্টিকুলের মধ্যে তো তোমরাই কি পুরুষের সাথে উপগত হও ?
এবং তোমাদের প্রতিপালক তোমাদের জন্য যে স্ত্রীগণকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তাদেরকে তোমরা বর্জন করে থাক; বরং তোমরা তো সীমালংঘনকারী সম্প্রদায় ।
তারা বলল , হে লুত ! তুমি যদি নিবৃত্ত না হও , তবে অবশ্যই তুমি নির্বাসিত হবে ।
লুত বললেন, আমি অবশ্যই তোমাদের এ কুকর্মকে ঘৃণা করি ।
হে আমার রব ! আমাকে এবং আমার পরিবার-পরিজনকে , তারা যা করে , তা থেকে রক্ষা করুন ।
তারপর আমরা তাকে এবং তার পরিবার-পরিজন সকলকে রক্ষা করলাম ।
এক বৃদ্ধা ব্যতীত, সে ছিল পশ্চাতে অবস্থানকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ।
তারপর আমরা অপর সকলকে ধ্বংস করলাম ।
আর আমরা তাদের উপর শিলাবৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করেছিলাম, এবং ভীতি প্রদর্শনের জন্য এই বৃষ্টি ছিল কত নিকৃষ্ট !
নিশ্চয়ই এতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে , কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই মুমিন ছিল না ।
আর নিশ্চয় আপনার রব , তিনি তো পরাক্রমশালী , পরম দয়ালু ।

The people of Lot denied the messengers
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
So fear Allah and obey me.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Do you approach males among the worlds
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted.
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it].
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."
So We saved him and his family, all,
Except an old woman among those who remained behind.
Then We destroyed the others.
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Surah 27 | An-Naml | আন-নামাল Verse: 54 -58

স্মরণ কর লূতের কথা, সে তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলঃ তোমরা জেনে শুনে কেন অশ্লীল কাজ করছ?
তোমরা কি কাম-তৃপ্তির জন্য নারীকে ছেড়ে পুরুষে উপগত হবে? তোমরাতো এক অজ্ঞ সম্প্রদায়।
উত্তরে তার সম্প্রদায় শুধু বলল, লুত পরিবারকে তোমরা জনপদ থেকে বহিস্কার কর, এরা তো এমন লোক যারা পবিত্র সাজতে চায়।
অতঃপর আমরা তাকে ও তার পরিজনবৰ্গকে উদ্ধার করলাম, তার স্ত্রী ছাড়া, আমরা তাকে অবশিষ্টদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছিলাম।
আর আমরা তাদের উপর মুষলধারে (পাথরের) বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করেছিলাম। ভীতি প্রদর্শিতদের জন্য কতইনা নিকৃষ্ট ছিল এই বৃষ্টি!

And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing?
Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly."
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.

Surah 29 | Al-Ankabut | আল-আনকাবূত | Verse: 16 - 35

আর স্মরণ করুন ইবরাহীমকে, যখন তিনি তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলেন , তোমরা আল্লাহর ইবাদাত কর এবং তার তাকওয়া অবলম্বন কর; তোমাদের জন্য এটাই উত্তম । যদি তোমরা জানতে !
তোমরা তো আল্লাহ ছাড়া শুধু মূর্তিপূজা করছ এবং মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করছ । তোমরা আল্লাহ ছাড়া যাদের ইবাদত কর তারা তো তোমাদের রিযিকের মালিক নয়। কাজেই তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছেই রিযিক চাও এবং তারই ইবাদাত কর । আর তাঁর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর । তোমরা তাঁরই কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে ।
আর যদি তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ কর তবে তো তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল । সুস্পষ্টভাবে (সত্যকে) প্রচার করা ছাড়া রাসূলের আর কোন দায়িত্ব নেই ।
তারা কি লক্ষ্য করে না , কিভাবে আল্লাহ্‌ সৃষ্টিকে অস্তিত্ব দান করেন ? তারপর তিনি তা আবার সৃষ্টি করবেন । নিশ্চয় এটা আল্লাহর জন্য সহজ ।
বলুন, [হে মুহাম্মাদ], তোমরা যমীনে ভ্রমণ কর এবং দেখ , কীভাবে তিনি সৃষ্টির সূচনা করেছিলেন, তারপর আল্লাহই আরেকবার সৃষ্টি করবেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান ।
তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছে শাস্তি দেন এবং যার প্রতি ইচ্ছে অনুগ্রহ করেন । আর তোমরা তারই কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে ।
আর তোমরা আল্লাহকে ব্যর্থ করতে পারবে না যমীনে , আর না আসমানে এবং আল্লাহ ছাড়া তোমাদের কোন অভিভাবক নেই , সাহায্যকারীও নেই ।
আর যারা আল্লাহর নিদর্শন ও তাঁর সাক্ষাত অস্বীকার করে, তারাই আমার অনুগ্রহ হতে নিরাশ হয়েছে । আর তাদের জন্যই রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি ।
উত্তরে ইবরাহীমের সম্প্রদায় শুধু এটাই বলল , ওকে হত্যা কর অথবা জ্বালিয়ে দাও । অতঃপর আল্লাহ আগুন থেকে তাকে রক্ষা করলেন ; নিশ্চয় এতে বহু নিদর্শন রয়েছে , এমন সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য যারা ঈমান আনে ।
ইবরাহীম আরও বললেন , তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে মূর্তিগুলিকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছ পার্থিব জীবনে তোমাদের পারস্পরিক বন্ধুত্বের খাতিরে ; কিন্তু কিয়ামাত দিবসে তোমরা একে অপরকে অস্বীকার করবে এবং পরস্পরকে অভিসম্পাত দিবে। তোমাদের আবাস হবে জাহান্নাম এবং তোমাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী থাকবে না ।
অতঃপর লুত তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলেন । আর ইবরাহীম বললেন , আমি আমার রবের উদ্দেশ্যে হিজরত করছি । নিশ্চয় তিনি পরাক্রমশালী , প্ৰজ্ঞাময় । [লূত (আঃ) ইবরাহীম (আঃ)-এর ভাইপো (ভাতিজা) ছিলেন। ]
আর আমরা ইবরাহীমকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুব এবং তাঁর বংশধরদের জন্য স্থির করলাম নবুওয়ত ও কিতাব । আর আমরা তাকে তার প্রতিদান দুনিয়ায় দিয়েছিলাম ; এবং আখিরাতেও তিনি নিশ্চয়ই সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্যতম হবেন ।
আর স্মরণ করুন লুতের কথা , যখন তিনি তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলেন , নিশ্চয় তোমরা এমন অশ্লীল কাজ করছ , যা তোমাদের পূর্বে বিশ্বজগতে কেউ করেনি ।
তোমরাই তো পুরুষে উপগত (সমকাম) হচ্ছ , তোমরাই তো রাহাজানি করে থাক এবং তোমরাই তো নিজেদের মজলিশে প্রকাশ্যে ঘৃণ্য কাজ করে থাক উত্তরে তার সম্প্রদায় শুধু এটাই বলল , আমাদের উপর আল্লাহ্‌র শাস্তি আনয়ন কর—তুমি যদি সত্যবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে থাক ।
তিনি বললেন , হে আমার রব ! বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারী সম্প্রদায়ের বিরুদ্ধে আমাকে সাহায্য করুন ।
আর যখন আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ সুসংবাদসহ ইবরাহীমের কাছে আসল, তারা বলেছিল, নিশ্চয় আমরা এ জনপদবাসীকে ধ্বংস করব , এর অধিবাসিগণ অবশ্যই সীমালংঘনকারী ।
ইবরাহীম বললেন, এ জনপদে তো লুত রয়েছে । তারা বলল , সেখানে কারা আছে , তা আমরা ভাল করে জানি , নিশ্চয় আমরা লূতকে ও তার পরিজনবৰ্গকে রক্ষা করব , তার স্ত্রীকে ছাড়া ; সে তো পিছনে অবস্থানকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ।
আর যখন আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ লুতের কাছে আসল , তখন তাদের জন্য তিনি বিষন্ন হয়ে পড়লেন এবং নিজেকে তাদের রক্ষায় অসমর্থ মনে করলেন। আর তারা বলল , ভয় করবেন না , দুঃখও করবেন না ; আমরা আপনাকে ও আপনার পরিজনবৰ্গকে রক্ষা করব , আপনার স্ত্রী ছাড়া ; সে তো পিছনে অবস্থানকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা এ জনপদবাসীদের উপর আকাশ হতে শাস্তি নাযিল করব , কারণ তারা পাপাচার করছিল ।
আর অবশ্যই আমরা ঐ জনপদে বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য একটি স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন রেখেছি ।

And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know.
You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."
And if you [people] deny [the message] - already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification.
Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent."
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned.
And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth or in the heaven. And you have not other than Allah any protector or any helper .
And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him - those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment.
And the answer of Abraham's people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers.
And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, "Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." [Lut (AS) was the nephew of Ibrahim (AS)]
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous.
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.
Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah, if you should be of the truthful."
He said, "My Lord, support me against the corrupting people."
And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, "Indeed, we will destroy the people of that Lot's city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers."
[Abraham] said, "Indeed, within it is Lot." They said, "We are more knowing of who is within it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife. She is to be of those who remain behind."
And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.
Indeed, we will bring down on the people of this city punishment from the sky because they have been defiantly disobedient."
And We have certainly left of it a sign as clear evidence for a people who use reason.

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 41 - 42

মানুষের কৃতকর্মের কারণে সমুদ্রে ও স্থলে বিপর্যয় ছড়িয়ে পড়ে , যার ফলে তাদেরকে কোন কোন কর্মের শাস্তি তিনি আস্বাদন করান, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে (সৎপথে) ।
বলুন , তোমরা পৃথিবীতে পরিভ্রমণ করে দেখ, তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছে । ওদের অধিকাংশই ছিল অংশীবাদী ।

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah].

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 44 - 45

যে অবিশ্বাস করে, অবিশ্বাসের জন্য সে-ই দায়ী ; যারা সৎ কাজ করে তারা নিজেদেরই জন্য রচনা করে শান্তির আবাস ।
যেন তিনি স্বীয় অনুগ্রহে প্রতিদান দেন, যারা ঈমান আনে এবং সৎকাজ করে তাদেরকে। নিশ্চয় তিনি কাফিরদের ভালবাসেন না ।

Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing,
That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

Surah 35 | Fatir | ফাতির | Verse: 18 - 26

কোন বহনকারী অন্যের (পাপের) বোঝা বহন করবে না, কোন (পাপে) ভারাক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি যদি কেহকে ও এটা বহন করতে আহবান করে তাহলে তার কিছুই বহন করা হবেনা , নিকট আত্মীয় হলেও । আপনি শুধু তাদেরকেই সতর্ক করতে পারেন যারা তাদের রবকে না দেখে ভয় করে এবং সালাত কায়েম করে । আর যে কেউ নিজেকে পরিশোধন করে , সে তো পরিশোধন করে নিজেরই কল্যাণের জন্য। আর আল্লাহরই দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন ।
সমান নয় অন্ধ ও চক্ষুষ্মান ,
আর না অন্ধকার ও আলো ,
আর না ছায়া ও রোদ ,
এবং সমান নয় জীবিত ও মৃত । আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা শ্রবণ করান ; আর আপনি শোনাতে পারবেন না যারা কবরে রয়েছে তাদেরকে ।
আপনি তো একজন সতর্ককারী মাত্র ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা আপনাকে সত্যসহ পাঠিয়েছি সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে ; আর এমন কোন সম্প্রদায় নেই যার নিকট সতর্ককারী প্রেরিত হয়নি ।
আর তারা যদি আপনার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তবে এদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও তো মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছিল — তাদের কাছে এসেছিল তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি , গ্রন্থাদি ও দীপ্তিমান কিতাবসহ ।
তারপর যারা কুফরি করেছিল আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম । সুতরাং (দেখে নিন) কেমন ছিল আমার প্রত্যাখ্যান (শাস্তি) !

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.
Not equal are the blind and the seeing,
Nor are the darknesses and the light,
Nor are the shade and the heat ,
And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves
You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner.
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

Surah 38 | Ṣād | সোয়াদ | Verse: 12 - 20

এদের পূর্বেও রসূলদেরকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছিল , নূহ, আ’দ ও বহু শিবিরের অধিপতি ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায় ।
সামূদ , লুত সম্প্রদায় ও আইকা'র অধিবাসী (শুআইব সম্প্রদায়) ওরা ছিল এক - একটি বিশাল বাহিনী ।
তাদের প্রত্যেকেই রাসূলগণের প্ৰতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল । ফলে তাদের ক্ষেত্রে আমার শান্তি ছিল অবধারিত ।
এরা তো অপেক্ষা করছে এক মহাগর্জনের , যাতে কোন বিরতি থাকবে না ।
আর তারা বলে, হে আমাদের রব ! হিসাব দিবসের আগেই আমাদের প্ৰাপ্য আমাদেরকে শীঘ্রই দিয়ে দিন !
তারা যা বলে তাতে আপনি ধৈর্য ধারণ করুন এবং স্মরণ করুন আমাদের শক্তিশালী বান্দা দাউদের কথা ; তিনি ছিলেন খুব বেশী আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা অনুগত করেছিলাম পর্বতমালাকে , যেন এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তার (দাউদ (আঃ) সাথে আমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করে ,
আর সমবেত পাখীদেরকেও (অনুগত করেছিলাম) তার , প্রত্যেকেই ছিল অধিক আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
আর আমরা তার রাজ্যকে সুদৃঢ় করেছিলাম , আর তাকে দিয়েছিলাম জ্ঞান-বুদ্ধি-বিচক্ষণতা আর বিচারকার্য ও কথাবার্তায় উত্তম সিদ্ধান্ত দানের যোগ্যতা ।

The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes,
And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies.
Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified.
And these [disbelievers] await not but one blast [of the Horn]; for it there will be no delay.
And they say, "Our Lord, hasten for us our share [of the punishment] before the Day of Account
Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah].
Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him (David), exalting [Allah] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise.
And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises].
And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech.

Surah 50 | Qaf | কাফ | Verse: 12 - 14

তাদের পূর্বেও সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায় , রা'স ও সামূদ সম্প্রদায়
আদ, ফির‘আউন ও লূত সম্প্রদায় ।
আর আইকার অধিবাসী ও তুব্বা সম্প্রদায়; তারা সকলেই রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল, ফলে তাদের উপর আমার শাস্তি যথার্থভাবে আপতিত হয়েছে ।

The people of Noah denied before them , and the companions of the well and Thamud
And ' Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba '. All denied the messengers , so My threat was justly fulfilled .

Surah 51 | Adh-Dhariyat | আয-যারিয়াত | Verse: 24 -37

আপনার কাছে ইবরাহীমের সম্মানীত মেহমানদের বৃত্তান্ত এসেছে কি ?
যখন তারা তার কাছে উপস্থিত হয়ে বলল , সালাম । উত্তরে তিনি বললেন , ‘ সালাম ’। এরা তো অপরিচিত লোক ।
অতঃপর ইবরাহীম তার স্ত্রীর কাছে দ্রুত চুপিসারে গেলেন এবং একটি মোটা-তাজা গো-বাছুর ( ভাজা ) নিয়ে আসলেন ,
অতঃপর তিনি তা তাদের সামনে রেখে বললেন , তোমরা কি খাবে না ?
এতে তাদের সম্পর্কে তার মনে ভীতির সঞ্চার হল । তারা বলল, ভীত হবেন না । আর তারা তাকে এক জ্ঞানী পুত্ৰ সন্তানের সুসংবাদ দিল ।
তখন তার স্ত্রী বিস্ময়ে হতবাক হয়ে সামনে এল এবং মুখমন্ডল চাপড়িয়ে বলল , ‘ ( আমি তো ) বন্ধ্যা বৃদ্ধা , ( আমার সন্তান হবে কি করে? )’
তারা বলল , আপনার রব এরূপই বলেছেন ; নিশ্চয় তিনি প্রজ্ঞাময় , সর্বজ্ঞ ।
ইবরাহীম বললেন , হে প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ ! তোমাদের বিশেষ কাজ কি ?
তারা বলল , নিশ্চয় আমরা এক অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি ।
যেন তাদের উপর মাটির পাথর বর্ষণ করি
যা তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট চিহ্নিত হয়ে আছে সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদের জন্য ।
অতঃপর সেখানে যেসব মুমিন ছিল আমরা তাদেরকে বের করে নিয়ে আসলাম ।
তবে আমরা সেখানে একটি পরিবার ( লূতের ) ছাড়া আর কোন মুসলিম পাইনি ।
আর যারা মর্মম্ভদ শাস্তিকে ভয় করে আমরা তাদের জন্য ওখানে একটি নিদর্শন রেখেছি ।

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham ?
When they entered upon him and said , "[We greet you with] peace ." He answered , " [And upon you] peace , [you are] a people unknown .
Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf
And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"
And he felt from them apprehension . They said , " Fear not , " and gave him good tidings of a learned boy .
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said , "[I am] a barren old woman ! "
They said , "Thus has said your Lord ; indeed , He is the Wise , the Knowing ."
[Abraham] said , " Then what is your business [here] , O messengers ?"
They said , " Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
To send down upon them stones of clay ,
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors ."
So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers .
And We found not within them other than a [single] [ Lot ] house of Muslims .
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment .

Surah 53 | An-Najm | আন-নাজম | Verse: 50 - 55

আর এই যে, তিনিই প্রাচীন আদ সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করেছিলেন,
এবং সামূদ সম্প্রদায়কেও; অতঃপর কাউকেও তিনি বাকী রাখেননি ।
আর এদের আগে নূহের সম্প্রদায়কেও, নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল অত্যন্ত যালিম ও চরম অবাধ্য।
আর তিনি (লূত জাতির) উল্টানো আবাসভূমিকে নিক্ষেপ করেছিলেন ,
অতঃপর সেটাকে আচ্ছন্ন করল যা আচ্ছন্ন করার!
সুতরাং (হে মানুষ!) তুমি তোমার রবের কোন অনুগ্রহ সম্পর্কে সন্দেহ পোষণ করবে?

And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad
And Thamud - and He did not spare [them]
And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.
And the overturned towns He hurled down ,
And covered them by that which He covered.
Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 33 - 39

লুত সম্প্রদায় মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল সতর্ককারীদের প্রতি , নিশ্চয় আমি তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করেছিলাম পাথর বর্ষণকারী ঝড় , কিন্তু লূত পরিবারের উপর নয় ; তাদেরকে আমি উদ্ধার করেছিলাম ভোর রাতে , আমাদের পক্ষ থেকে অনুগ্রহস্বরূপ ; যে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে , আমরা এভাবেই তাকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি । আর অবশ্যই লুত তাদেরকে সতর্ক করেছিল আমাদের কঠোর পাকড়াও সম্পর্কে ; কিন্তু তারা সতর্কবাণী সম্বন্ধে বিতণ্ডা শুরু করল । আর তারা লুতের কাছ থেকে তার মেহমানদেরকে অসদুদ্দেশ্যে দাবি করল , তখন আমরা তাদের দৃষ্টি শক্তি লোপ করে দিলাম এবং বললাম, আস্বাদন কর আমার শাস্তি এবং ভীতির পরিণাম । আর সকাল বেলা তাদের উপর অবিরত আযাব নেমে আসল । তখন আমি বললাম - ‘ আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণীর স্বাদ গ্রহণ কর ।
The people of Lot denied the warning . Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn . As favor from us . Thus do We reward he who is grateful . And he had already warned them of Our assault , but they disputed the warning . And they had demanded from him his guests , but We obliterated their eyes , [saying] , " Taste My punishment and warning . " And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment . So taste My punishment and warning .

Surah 15 | Al-Hijr | আল-হিজর | Verse: 61 - 77

অতঃপর ফেরেশতাগণ যখন লুত পরিবারের কাছে আসল,, তখন লূত বললঃ তোমরাতো অপরিচিত লোক। তারা ( ফেরেশতাগণ )বলল, ‘আমরা তা-ই নিয়ে এসেছি যে ব্যাপারে এ লোকেরা সন্দেহে পতিত ছিল। তোমার কাছে আমরা সত্য নিয়েই এসেছি, আর আমরা অবশ্যই সত্যবাদী। ‘সুতরাং তুমি তোমার পরিবার নিয়ে বেরিয়ে পড় রাতের একাংশে, আর তুমি তাদের পেছনে চল, আর তোমাদের কেউ পেছনে ফিরে তাকাবে না এবং যেভাবে তোমাদের নির্দেশ করা হয়েছে সেভাবেই চলতে থাকবে’। আর আমরা তাকে এ বিষয়ে ফয়সালা জানিয়ে দিলাম যে, নিশ্চয় তাদেরকে ভোরে সমূলে বিনাশ করা হবে। শহরের লোকেরা আনন্দ সহকারে (লূতের ঘরে) উপস্থিত হল। লূত বলল, ‘এরা আমার মেহমান, কাজেই তোমরা আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করো না। ‘তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করো না’। তারা বলল, আমরা কি দুনিয়াসুদ্ধ লোককে আশ্রয় দিতে তোমাকে নিষেধ করিনি? লূত বললঃ একান্তই যদি তোমরা কিছু করতে চাও তাহলে আমার এই কন্যাগণ রয়েছে (তবে বিবাহের মাধ্যমে বৈধ উপায়ে কর)। [ হে মুহাম্মদ ], তোমার জীবনের কসম, নিশ্চয় তারা তাদেরকে নেশায় ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছিল। অতএব সূর্যোদয়কালে বিকট আওয়াজ তাদের পেয়ে বসল। আর আমি সে জনপদকে উল্টে (উপর-নীচ) করে দিলাম এবং তাদের উপর বর্ষণ করলাম পোড়া মাটির পাথর। এতে অবশ্যই অন্তর্দৃষ্টিসম্পন্ন লোকেদের জন্য অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে। ওটা লোক চলাচলের পথপার্শ্বে এখনও বিদ্যমান। নিশ্চয় এতে মুমিনদের জন্য রয়েছে নিদর্শন। ...( আল-বায়ান / তাইসিরুল/ মুজিবুর রহমান)
And when the messengers ( the angel) came to the family of Lot, He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." They ( the angel) said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. And the people of the city came [ house of Lut (AS) ] rejoicing. [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" [Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. So the shriek seized them at sunrise. And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. .....(English - Sahih International)

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 51

আর আমি তো তোমাদের মত অনেককে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি , অতএব কোন উপদেশ গ্রহণকারী আছে কি ?
And We have already destroyed your kinds , so is there any who will remember ?

Surah 69 | Al-Haqqa | আল-হাক্কাহ | Verse: 1 - 37

অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা ( কিয়ামত ) ।
কী সেই অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা ?
আর কিসে আপনাকে জানাবে সে অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা কী ?
আদ ও সামূদ জাতি সেই আকস্মিকভাবে সংঘটিতব্য মহাবিপদকে মিথ্যে বলেছিল ।
অতঃপর সামূদ সম্প্রদায়, তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল এক প্ৰলয়ংকর বিপর্যয়কারী প্ৰচণ্ড চীৎকার দ্বারা ।
আর ‘ আদ সম্প্রদায়, তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল প্রচন্ড ঠান্ডা ঝঞ্ঝাবায়ু দ্বারা ।
যা তিনি তাদের উপর প্রবাহিত করেছিলেন সাতরাত ও আটদিন বিরামহীনভাবে ; তখন আপনি উক্ত সম্প্রদায়কে দেখতেন — তারা সেখানে লুটিয়ে পড়ে আছে সারশূন্য খেজুর কাণ্ডের ন্যায় ।
অতঃপর তাদের কাউকে ও আপনি বিদ্যমান দেখতে পান কি ?
আর ফিরআউন, তার পূর্ববর্তীরা এবং উল্টে যাওয়া বস্তিবাসীরা ( লূত সম্প্রদায় ) পাপ করেছিল।
তারা তাদের প্রতিপালকের রসূলকে অমান্য করেছিল , ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে অতি কঠোরভাবে পাকড়াও করলেন ।
যখন জলোচ্ছ্বাস হল , অবশ্যই তখন আমি তোমাদেরকে নৌযানে আরোহণ করিয়েছি ।
আমরা এটা করেছিলাম তোমাদের শিক্ষার জন্য এবং এজন্যে যে, যাতে শ্রুতিধর কান এটা সংরক্ষণ করে।
অতঃপর যখন শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেওয়া হবে একটি মাত্র ফুৎকার ।
তখন পর্বতমালা সহ পৃথিবী উৎক্ষিপ্ত হবে এবং একই ধাক্কায় ওগুলো চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হয়ে যাবে ।
সেদিন সংঘটিত হবে মহাঘটনা (কিয়ামত)।
আর আসমান বিদীর্ণ হয়ে যাবে । ফলে সেদিন তা হয়ে যাবে দুর্বল বিক্ষিপ্ত ।
আর ফেরেশতাগণ আসমানের প্রান্ত দেশে থাকবে এবং সেদিন আটজন ফিরিশতা আপনার রবের আরশকে ধারণ করবে তাদের উপরে ।
সেদিন উপস্থিত করা হবে তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমাদের কোন গোপনই আর গোপন থাকবে না ।
তখন যাকে তার আমলনামা তার ডান হাতে দেয়া হবে, সে বলবে , ‘ এই যে আমার ‘আমালানামা পড়ে দেখ ,
আমার পূর্ণ বিশ্বাস ছিল যে , আমাকে আমার হিসাবের সম্মুখীন হতে হবে । ’
কাজেই সে যাপন করবে সন্তোষজনক জীবন ;
সুউচ্চ জান্নাতে
যার ফলরাশি অবনমিত থাকবে নাগালের মধ্যে ।
( তাদেরকে বলা হবে, ) ‘ পানাহার কর তৃপ্তির সাথে , তোমরা অতীত দিনে যা করেছিলে তার বিনিময়ে ।’
কিন্তু যার আমলনামা তার বাম হাতে দেওয়া হবে , সে বলবে , ‘ হায় ! আমাকে যদি দেওয়াই না হত আমার আমলনামা ।
এবং আমি যদি না জানতাম আমার হিসাব ।
হায় ! আমার মৃত্যুই যদি আমার শেষ হত !
আমার ধন-সম্পদ আমার কোন কাজেই এল না ।
আমার ক্ষমতাও আমার থেকে চলে গেল !
ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলা হবে , ধর তাকে , তার গলায় বেড়ী পরিয়ে দাও ।
‘ তারপর তাকে তোমরা নিক্ষেপ কর জাহান্নামে ’ ।
তারপর ওকে শিকল দিয়ে বাঁধ- সত্তর হাত দীর্ঘ এক শিকলে ,
নিশ্চয় সে মহান আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমানদার ছিল না ,
আর অভাবগ্রস্তকে খাদ্যদানে উৎসাহিত করত না ।
অতএব আজ এখানে তার কোন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু থাকবে না ।
এবং কোন খাদ্য থাকবে না ক্ষতনিঃসৃত পুঁজ ব্যতীত ।
যা অপরাধী ছাড়া কেউ খাবে না ।

The Inevitable Reality .
What is the Inevitable Reality ?
And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality ?
Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity .
So as for Thamud , they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].
And as for 'Aad , they were destroyed by a screaming , violent wind
Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession , so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
Then do you see of them any remains ? -And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.
And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].
Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.
Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow
Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm .
And the angels are at its edges . And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them , that Day , eight [of them] .
That Day , you will be exhibited [for judgement] ; not hidden among you is anything concealed .
So as for he who is given his record in his right hand , he will say , " Here , read my record !
Indeed , I was certain that I would be meeting my account ."
So he will be in a pleasant life
In an elevated garden ,
Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near .
[They will be told] , " Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past ."
But as for he who is given his record in his left hand , he will say , " Oh , I wish I had not been given my record
And had not known what is my account .
I wish my death had been the decisive one .
My wealth has not availed me .
Gone from me is my authority .
[Allah will say] , " Seize him and shackle him .
Then into Hellfire drive him .
Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him ."
Indeed , he did not used to believe in Allah , the Most Great ,
Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor .
So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend
Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds ;
None will eat it except the sinners .
