যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. আর অভিশাপ তাদের সাথে সাথে রইল এই দুনিয়াতে এবং কিয়ামত দিবসেও । তা হল নিকৃষ্ট পুরস্কার যা তাদেরকে দেওয়া হবে ।
এ হচ্ছে জনপদসমূহের কিছু সংবাদ , যা আমি তোমার কাছে বর্ণনা করছি । তা থেকে কিছু আছে বিদ্যমান এবং কিছু হয়েছে বিলুপ্ত
আর আমরা তাদের প্রতি যুলুম করিনি কিন্তু তারাই নিজেদের প্রতি যুলুম করেছিল । অতঃপর যখন আপনার রবের নির্দেশ আসল , তখন আল্লাহ ছাড়া তারা যে ইলাহসমূহের ইবাদাত করত তারা তাদের কোন কাজে আসল না । আর তারা ধ্বংস ছাড়া তাদের অন্য কিছুই বৃদ্ধি করল না ।
এরূপই আপনার রবের পাকড়াও ! যখন তিনি পাকড়াও করেন অত্যাচারী জনপদসমূহকে নিশ্চয় তার পাকড়াও যন্ত্রণাদায়ক , কঠিন ।

And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority,
To Pharaoh and his establishment , but they followed the command of Pharaoh , and the command of Pharaoh was not [at all] discerning .
He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire ; and wretched is the place to which they are led .
And they were followed in this [world] with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection . And wretched is the gift which is given .
That is from the news of the cities , which We relate to you ; of them , some are [still] standing and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down] .
And We did not wrong them , but they wronged themselves . And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allah when there came the command of your Lord . And they did not increase them in other than ruin .
And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong . Indeed , His seizure is painful and severe .

Surah 20 | Ta-Ha | ত্ব-হা | Verse: 9 - 73

আর মূসার বৃত্তান্ত আপনার কাছে পৌছেছে কি ?
তিনি যখন আগুন দেখলেন তখন তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে বললেন, তোমরা অপেক্ষা কর, আমি তো আগুন দেখেছি। সম্ভবত আমি তোমাদের জন্য তা থেকে কিছু জ্বলন্ত অঙ্গার আনতে পারব অথবা আমি আগুনের কাছে ধারে কোন পথনির্দেশ পাব।
তারপর যখন তিনি আগুনের কাছে আসলেন তখন ডেকে বলা হল, হে মূসা!
নিশ্চয় আমি আপনার রব, অতএব আপনার জুতা জোড়া খুলে ফেলুন, কারণ আপনি পবিত্ৰ ‘তুওয়া’ উপত্যকায় রয়েছেন।
আর আমি আপনাকে মনোনীত করেছি। অতএব যা ওহী পাঠানো হচ্ছে আপনি তা মনোযোগের সাথে শুনুন।
নিশ্চয় আমিই আল্লাহ, আমি ছাড়া কোন (সত্য) উপাস্য নেই; অতএব আমারই উপাসনা কর এবং আমাকে স্মরণের জন্য নামায কায়েম কর।
কিয়ামত অবশ্যম্ভাবী, আমি এটা গোপন রাখতে চাই; যাতে প্রত্যেকেই নিজ কর্মানুযায়ী ফল লাভ করতে পারে।
কাজেই যে ব্যক্তি কিয়ামতে ঈমান রাখে না এবং নিজ প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে, সে যেন আপনাকে তাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপনে প্রবৃত্ত না করে, তাহলে আপনি ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবেন।
আর হে মূসা! আপনার ডান হাতে সেটা কী?
মূসা বললেন, এটা আমার লাঠি; আমি এতে ভর দেই এবং এর দ্বারা আঘাত করে আমি আমার মেষপালের জন্য গাছের পাতা ফেলে থাকি আর এটা আমার অন্যান্য কাজেও লাগে।
আল্লাহ বললেন, হে মূসা! আপনি তা নিক্ষেপ করুন।
তারপর তিনি তা নিক্ষেপ করলেন, সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সেটা সাপ হয়ে ছুটতে লাগল,
আল্লাহ বললেন, আপনি তাকে ধরুন, ভয় করবেন না, আমরা এটাকে তার আগের রূপে ফিরিয়ে দেব।
এবং আপনার হাত আপনার বগলের সাথে মিলিত করুন, তা আরেক নিদর্শনস্বরূপ নির্মল উজ্জ্বল হয়ে বের হবে।
এটা এ জন্যে যে, আমরা আপনাকে আমাদের মহানিদর্শনগুলোর কিছু দেখাব৷
ফিরআউনের কাছে যান, সে তো সীমালংঘন করেছে।
মূসা বললেন, হে আমার রব! আমার বক্ষ সম্প্রসারিত করে দিন।
এবং আমার কাজ সহজ করে দিন।
আর আমার জিহবার জড়তা দূর করে দিন,
যাতে তারা আমার কথা বুঝতে পারে।
আর আমার জন্য করে দিন একজন সাহায্যকারী আমার স্বজনদের মধ্য থেকে;
আমার ভাই হারুনকে;
তার দ্বারা আমার শক্তি সুদৃঢ় করুন,
এবং তাকে আমার কাজে অংশীদার করুন ,
যাতে আমরা আপনার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করতে পারি প্রচুর,
এবং আমরা আপনাকে স্মরণ করতে পারি বেশী পরিমাণ।
আপনিই তো আমাদের সম্যক দ্রষ্টা
তিনি বললেন, হে মূসা! আপনি যা চেয়েছেন তা আপনাকে দেয়া হলো।
আর আমরা তো আপনার প্রতি আরো একবার অনুগ্রহ করেছিলাম ;
যখন আমরা আপনার মাকে জানিয়েছিলাম যা ছিল জানাবার,
যে, তুমি তাকে সিন্দুকের মধ্যে রাখ, তারপর তা দরিয়ায় ভাসিয়ে দাও যাতে দরিয়া তাকে তীরে ঠেলে দেয়।, ফলে তাকে আমার শত্রু ও তার শত্রু নিয়ে যাবে আর আমি আমার কাছ থেকে আপনার উপর ভালবাসা ঢেলে দিয়েছিলাম, আর যাতে আপনি আমার চোখের সামনে প্রতিপালিত হন
যখন আপনার বোন (সিন্দুকের সাথে সাথে) চলছিল, অতঃপর সে গিয়ে বলল, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এমন একজনের সন্ধান দেব যে এ শিশুর দায়িত্বভার নিতে পারবে? অতঃপর আমরা আপনাকে আপনার মায়ের কাছে ফিরিয়ে দিলাম যাতে তার চোখ জুড়ায় এবং সে দুঃখ না পায়; আর আপনি এক ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করেছিলেন; অতঃপর আমরা আপনাকে মনঃকষ্ট থেকে মুক্তি দেই এবং আমরা আপনাকে বহু পরীক্ষা করেছি। হে মূসা! তারপর আপনি কয়েক বছর মাদইয়ানবাসীদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করেছিলেন, এর পরে আপনি নির্ধারিত সময়ে উপস্থিত হলেন।
এবং আমি আপনাকে আমার নিজের জন্য প্রস্তুত করে নিয়েছি। আপনি কয়েক বছর মাদইয়ানবাসীদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করেছিলেন, এর পরে আপনি নির্ধারিত সময়ে উপস্থিত হলেন।
আপনি ও আপনার ভাই আমার নিদর্শনসহ যাত্রা করুন এবং আমার স্মরণে শৈথিল্য করবেন না,
আপনারা উভয়ে ফিরআউনের কাছে যান, সে তো সীমালংঘন করেছে।
আপনারা তার সাথে নম্রভাবে কথা বলবেন, হয়ত সে উপদেশ গ্ৰহণ করবে অথবা ভয় করবে।
তারা বলল, হে আমাদের রব! আমরা আশংকা করি সে আমাদের উপর বাড়াবাড়ি করবে অথবা অন্যায় আচরণে সীমালংঘন করবে।
তিনি [ আল্লাহ্ ] বললেন, “ আপনারা ভয় করবেন না, আমি তো আপনাদের সঙ্গে আছি , আমি তো আপনাদের সাথেই আছি। আমি সবকিছু শুনি ও দেখি’।
সুতরাং আপনারা তার কাছে যান এবং বলুন, আমরা তোমার রব এর রাসূল, কাজেই আমাদের সাথে বনী ইসরাঈলকে যেতে দাও এবং তাদেরকে কষ্ট দিও না, আমরা তো তোমার কাছে এনেছি তোমার রব এর কাছ থেকে নিদর্শন। আর যারা সৎপথ অনুসরণ করে তাদের প্রতি শান্তি।
নিশ্চয় আমাদের প্রতি ওহী পাঠানো হয়েছে যে, শাস্তি তো তার জন্য যে মিথ্যা আরোপ করে ও মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
ফিরআউন বলল, হে মূসা! তাহলে কে তোমাদের রব?
মূসা বললেন, আমাদের রব তিনি, যিনি প্রত্যেক বস্তুকে তার যোগ্য আকৃতি দান করেছেন, অতঃপর পথ নির্দেশ করেছেন ।
ফিরআউন বলল, তাহলে অতীত যুগের লোকদের অবস্থা কী ?
মূসা বললেন, এর জ্ঞান আমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট লিপিবদ্ধ আছে; আমার রব ভুল করেন না এবং বিস্মৃতও হন না ।
যিনি তোমাদের জন্য যমীনকে করেছেন বিছানা এবং তাতে করে দিয়েছেন তোমাদের জন্য চলার পথ, আর তিনি আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেন। অতঃপর তা দিয়ে আমরা বিভিন্ন প্রকারের উদ্ভিদ উৎপন্ন করি।
তোমরা নিজেরা খাও এবং তোমাদের গবাদি পশু চরাও । অবশ্যই এতে বহু নিদর্শন আছে বিবেকসম্পন্নদের জন্য ।
আমরা মাটি থেকে তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তাতেই তোমাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে দেব এবং তা থেকেই পুনর্বার তোমাদেরকে বের করব ।
আর আমরা [ আল্লাহ্ ] তো তাকে [ফেরাউনকে ] আমাদের সমস্ত নিদর্শন দেখিয়েছিলাম ; কিন্তু সে মিথ্যারোপ করেছে এবং অমান্য করেছে।
[ ফিরআউন ] সে বলল, হে মূসা! তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে এসেছ তোমার জাদু দ্বারা আমাদেরকে দেশ থেকে বহিস্কার করে দেয়ার জন্য?
তাহলে আমরাও অবশ্যই তোমার [ মূসা ] কাছে উপস্থিত করব এর অনুরূপ জাদু, কাজেই আমাদের ও তোমার মধ্যে স্থির কর এক নির্দিষ্ট সময় এক মধ্যবর্তী স্থানে, যার ব্যতিক্রম আমরাও করব না এবং তুমিও করবে না।
মূসা বলল, ‘তোমাদের নির্ধারিত সময় হল উৎসবের দিন। আর সেদিন পূর্বাহ্নেই যেন লোকজনকে সমবেত করা হয়’।
অতঃপর ফিরআউন প্রস্থান করল এবং পরে তার কৌশলসমূহ একত্রিত করল ও তারপর আসল ।
মূসা তাদেরকে বলল, দূর্ভোগ তোমাদের! তোমরা আল্লাহর ওপর মিথ্যা আরোপ করো না। করলে, তিনি তোমাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা সমূলে ধ্বংস করবেন । আর যে ব্যক্তি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে, সে-ই ব্যর্থ হয়।
তখন তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে নিজেদের কাজ সম্বন্ধে বিতর্ক করল এবং তারা গোপনে পরামর্শ করল ।

[ মূসা 'আলাইহিস সালাম-এর এসব বাক্য শ্রবণ করে জাদুকরদের কাতার ছিন্ন-বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে গেল এবং তাদের মধ্যে তীব্র মতভেদ দেখা দিল। কারণ, এ জাতীয় কথাবার্তা কোন যাদুকরের মুখে উচ্চারিত হতে পারে না। এগুলো আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকেই মনে হয়। তাই তাদের কেউ কেউ বললঃ এদের মোকাবেলা করা সমীচীন নয়। আবার কেউ কেউ নিজের মতেই অটল রইল। ( ইবন কাসীর ) ]

তারা বলল, এ দুজন অবশ্যই জাদুকর, তারা চায় তাদের জাদু দ্বারা তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের দেশ থেকে বহিস্কার করতে এবং তোমাদের উৎকৃষ্ট জীবন পদ্ধতি ধ্বংস করতে।
অতএব তোমরা তোমাদের কলা-কৌশল (জাদুক্রিয়া) সুসংহত কর । তারপর সারিবদ্ধ হয়ে উপস্থিত হও। আর আজ যে জয়ী হবে সে-ই সফল হবে ।
তারা বলল, হে মূসা! হয় তুমি নিক্ষেপ কর নতুবা আমরাই প্রথম নিক্ষেপকারী হই ।
মূসা বললেন, বরং তোমরাই নিক্ষেপ কর। অতঃপর তাদের জাদু-প্রভাবে হঠাৎ মূসার মনে হল তাদের দড়ি ও লাঠিগুলো ছুটোছুটি করছে।
তখন মূসা তার অন্তরে কিছু ভীতি অনুভব করলেন।
[ আল্লাহ্ ] আমরা বললাম, ভয় করবেন না, আপনিই উপরে থাকবেন ।
আর আপনার ডান হাতে যা আছে তা নিক্ষেপ করুন, তারা যা করেছে এটা সেগুলো গ্রাস করে ফেলবে । তারা যা করেছে তাতো শুধু যাদুকরের কৌশলমাত্র; যাদুকরেরা যা’ই করুক কখনই সফল হবেনা ।
অতঃপর জাদুকরেরা সিজদাবনত হল, তারা বলল, আমরা হারূন ও মূসার রব-এর প্রতি ঈমান আনলাম।
ফিরআউন বলল, আমি তোমাদেরকে অনুমতি দেয়ার আগেই তোমরা মূসার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলে! সে তো তোমাদের প্রধান যে তোমাদেরকে জাদু শিক্ষা দিয়েছে । কাজেই আমি তো তোমাদের হাত-পা বিপরীত দিক থেকে কেটে ফেলব এবং তোমাদেরকে খেজুর গাছের কাণ্ডে শূলিবিদ্ধ করবই । আর তোমরা অবশ্যই জানতে পারবে। আমাদের মধ্যে কার শাস্তি কঠোরতর ও অধিক স্থায়ী ।
তারা [জাদুকররা] বলল, আমাদের কাছে যে সকল স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন এসেছে তার উপর এবং যিনি আমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তাঁর উপর তোমাকে আমরা কিছুতেই প্রাধান্য দেব না। কাজেই তুমি যা সিদ্ধান্ত নেবার নিতে পার। তুমি তো শুধু এ দুনিয়ার জীবনের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করতে পার ।
আমরা নিশ্চয় আমাদের রব-এর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি , যাতে তিনি আমাদের অপরাধসমূহ এবং তুমি আমাদেরকে যে জাদু করতে বাধ্য করেছিলে (তার পাপ) ক্ষমা করে দেন। আর আল্লাহই শ্রেষ্ঠতম ও অবিনশ্বর।

And has the story of Moses reached you ?
When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance."
And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses,
Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.
And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].
Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.
Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives.
So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.
And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"
He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."
[Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."
So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.
[Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition.
And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign,
That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs.
Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed."
[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]
And ease for me my task
And untie the knot from my tongue
That they may understand my speech.
And appoint for me a minister from my family
Aaron, my brother.
Increase through him my strength
And let him share my task
That we may exalt You much
And remember You much.
Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing."
[Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses.
And We had already conferred favor upon you another time,
When We inspired to your mother what We inspired,
[Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye.
[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.
And I produced you for Myself.
Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance.
Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]."
They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress."
[Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.
So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance.
Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' "
[Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?"
He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]."
[Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?"
[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets."
[It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants.
Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence.
From the earth We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.
And We, [ Allah ], certainly showed Pharaoh Our signs - all of them - but he denied and refused.
[Pharaoh] He said, "Have you come to us to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moses?
Then we will surely bring you magic like it, so make between us and you an appointment, which we will not fail to keep and neither will you, in a place assigned."
[Moses] said, "Your appointment is on the day of the festival when the people assemble at mid-morning."
So Pharaoh went away, put together his plan, and then came [to Moses].
Moses said to the magicians summoned by Pharaoh, "Woe to you! Do not invent a lie against Allah or He will exterminate you with a punishment; and he has failed who invents [such falsehood]."
So they disputed over their affair among themselves and concealed their private conversation.

[ Upon hearing these words of Musa (peace be upon him), the ranks of the magicians became scattered, and intense disagreement arose among them. This was because such words could not be uttered by any magician; they seemed to be from Allah Himself. As a result, some of them said, "It is not appropriate to oppose them." However, others remained firm in their own stance. (Ibn Kathir) ]

They said, "Indeed, these are two magicians who want to drive you out of your land with their magic and do away with your most exemplary way.
So resolve upon your plan and then come [forward] in line. And he has succeeded today who overcomes."
They said, "O Moses, either you throw or we will be the first to throw."
He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes].
And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.
Allah said, "Fear not. Indeed, it is you who are superior.
And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is."
So the magicians fell down in prostration. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."
They said, "Never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] He who created us. So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life.
Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring."

Surah 20 | Ta-Ha | ত্ব-হা | Verse: 77 - 79

আর আমরা অবশ্যই মূসার প্রতি ওহী করেছিলাম এ মর্মে যে, আমার বান্দাদেরকে নিয়ে রাতে বের হন এবং তাদের জন্য সাগরের মধ্য দিয়ে এক শুষ্ক পথের ব্যবস্থা করুন, পিছন থেকে (ফেরাউন) ধরে ফেলার আশংকা করবেন না এবং ভয়ও করবেন না।

[ এ সংক্ষিপ্ত কথাটির বিস্তারিত বিবরণ হচ্ছে এই যে, শেষ পর্যন্ত আল্লাহ একটি রাত নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছিলেন। মূসা সবাইকে নিয়ে লোহিত সাগরের পথ ধরলেন। ফিরআউন একটি বিশাল সেনাবাহিনী নিয়ে পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করতে করতে ঠিক এমন সময় পৌঁছে গেলো যখন এ কাফেলা সবেমাত্ৰ সাগরের তীরেই উপস্থিত হয়েছিল। মুহাজিরদের কাফেলা ফিরআউনের সেনা দল ও সমুদ্র দ্বারা সম্পূর্ণরূপে ঘেরাও হয়ে গিয়েছিল। [ইবন কাসীর] ঠিক এমনি সময় আল্লাহ মূসাকে হুকুম দিলেন “সমুদ্রের উপর আপনার লাঠি দ্বারা আঘাত করুন।” “তখনই সাগর ফেটে গেলো এবং তার প্রত্যেকটি টুকরা একটি বড় পর্বত শৃংগের মতো দাঁড়িয়ে গেলো।” ]

অতঃপর ফিরআউন তার সেনাবাহিনীসহ তাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করলে সমুদ্র ওদেরকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে নিমজ্জিত করল।
ফিরআউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিল, সৎপথ দেখায়নি।

And We had inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants and strike for them a dry path through the sea; you will not fear being overtaken [by Pharaoh] nor be afraid [of drowning]."

[ The detailed explanation of this brief statement is that, in the end, Allah appointed a specific night. Musa (AS) led his people along the path towards the Red Sea. Pharaoh, with a massive army, pursued them and arrived just as the caravan of the believers had reached the shore of the sea. The caravan of the Muhajirun was completely surrounded by Pharaoh's army on one side and the sea on the other. At that very moment, Allah commanded Musa (AS), "Strike the sea with your staff." Immediately, the sea split apart, and each part stood like a towering mountain. ]

So Pharaoh pursued them with his soldiers, and there covered them from the sea that which covered them,
And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide [them].

Surah 23 | Al-Mu'minun | আল-মুমিনুন Verse: 45 - 49

তারপর আমরা আমাদের নিদর্শনসমূহ এবং সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ মূসা ও তার ভাই হারূনকে পাঠালাম,
ফিরআউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের কাছে। কিন্তু তারা অহংকার করল; আর তারা ছিল উদ্ধত সম্প্রদায় ।
অতঃপর তারা বলল, আমরা কি এমন দু’ব্যক্তিতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করব যারা আমাদেরই মত, অথচ তাদের সম্প্রদায় আমাদের দাসত্ব করে ।
সুতরাং তারা তাদের উভয়ের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করল, ফলে তারা ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হল ।
আর আমরা তো মূসাকে দিয়েছিলাম কিতাব; যাতে তারা হেদায়াত পায় ।

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority
To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people.
They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?"
So they denied them and were of those destroyed.
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided .

Surah 25 | Al-Furqan | আল-ফুরকান | Verse: 35 - 39

আর আমরা তো মূসাকে কিতাব দিয়েছিলাম এবং তার সাথে তাঁর ভাই হারূনকে সাহায্যকারী করেছিলাম ।
অতঃপর আমরা বলেছিলাম, তোমরা সে সম্প্রদায়ের (ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায়) কাছে যাও যারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীতে মিথ্যারোপ করেছে । তারপর আমরা তাদেরকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে বিধ্বস্ত করেছিলাম ।
আর নূহের সম্প্রদায়কেও, যখন তারা রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করল তখন আমরা তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিলাম এবং তাদেরকে মানুষের জন্য নিদর্শনস্বরূপ করে রাখলাম । আর সীমালংঘনকারীদের জন্য আমরা মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি ।
আর আমরা ধ্বংস করেছিলাম ‘আদ, সামুদ, রাস’ এর অধিবাসীকে এবং তাদের অন্তর্বর্তীকালের বহু প্ৰজন্মকেও ৷
আর আমরা তাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্য দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছিলাম (যাতে তারা সঠিক পথের সন্ধান পেতে পারে) এবং তাদের সকলকেই আমরা সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করেছিলাম (তাদের পাপের কারণে) ।

And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.
And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.
And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.
And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.

Surah 26 | Ash-Shu'ara | আশ-শুআ'রা | Verse: 10 - 68

আর স্মরণ করুন, [হে মুহাম্মাদ], যখন আপনার রব মূসাকে ডেকে বললেন, আপনি যালিম সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে যান ,
ফিরআউনের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে ; তারা কি ভয় করবে না ?
মূসা বলেছিলেন, হে আমার রব! আমি আশংকা করি যে , তারা আমাকে অস্বীকার করবে ।
আর আমার অন্তর সংকুচিত হয়ে যাচ্ছে, আমার জিহ্বা সাবলীলভাবে কথা বলতে পারে না । কাজেই হারূনের প্রতিও ওহী (প্রত্যাদেশ) পাঠান ।
আর আমার বিরুদ্ধে তো তাদের এক অভিযোগ আছে, সুতরাং আমি আশংকা করছি যে, তারা আমাকে হত্যা করবে ।
আল্লাহ বললেন, না, কখনই নয়, অতএব আপনারা উভয়ে আমাদের নিদর্শনসহ যান । অবশ্যই আমরাতো আপনাদের সাথেই আছি, শ্রবণকারী ।
অতএব আপনারা উভয়ে ফিরআউনের কাছে যান এবং বলুন , আমরা বিশ্বজগতের প্রতিপালকের প্রেরিত রসূল ।
যাতে তুমি আমাদেরকে সাথে বনী ইসরাঈলকে যেতে দাও ।
ফির’আউন বলল , আমরা কি তোমাকে শৈশবে আমাদের মধ্যে লালন-পালন করিনি ? আর তুমি তো তোমার জীবনের বহু বছর আমাদের মধ্যে কাটিয়েছ ,
তুমি তো যা অপরাধ করার তা করেছ (আমাদের একজন লোককে হত্যা ক’রে) ; আর তুমি হলে অকৃতজ্ঞ ।
মূসা বললেন, আমি তো এটা করেছিলাম তখন, যখন আমি ছিলাম বিভ্ৰান্ত ।
তারপর আমি যখন তোমাদের ভয়ে ভীত হলাম তখন আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে পালিয়ে গিয়েছিলাম । এরপর আমার রব আমাকে প্রজ্ঞা (নবুওয়ত) দিয়েছেন এবং আমাকে রাসূলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন ।
আর আমার প্রতি তোমার যে অনুগ্রহের কথা উল্লেখ করে তুমি দয়া দেখাচ্ছ তা তো এই যে, তুমি বনী ইসরাঈলকে দাসে পরিণত করেছ ।
ফিরআউন বলল, সৃষ্টিকুলের রব আবার কী ?
মূসা বললেন, তিনি আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন এবং তাদের মধ্যবর্তী সব কিছুর রব, যদি তোমরা নিশ্চিত বিশ্বাসী হও ।
ফির’আউন তার আশেপাশের লোকদের লক্ষ্য করে বলল , তোমরা শুনছ তো !
মূসা বললেন, তিনি তোমাদের রব এবং তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরও রব ।
ফির’আউন বলল , তোমাদের প্রতি প্রেরিত তোমাদের রাসূল তো অবশ্যই পাগল ।
মূসা বললেন , তিনি পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের এবং তাদের মধ্যবর্তী সব কিছুর রব ; যদি তোমরা বুঝে থাক !
ফির’আউন বলল , তুমি যদি আমার পরিবর্তে অন্যকে ইলাহরূপে গ্ৰহণ কর আমি তোমাকে অবশ্যই কারারুদ্ধ করব ।
মূসা বললেন, আমি যদি তোমার কাছে স্পষ্ট কোন (নিদর্শন) আনয়ন করলেও কি ?
ফিরআউন বলল, তুমি যদি সত্যবাদী হও, তবে তা আনয়ন কর ।
তারপর মূসা তার লাঠি নিক্ষেপ করলে তৎক্ষনাৎ তা এক স্পষ্ট অজগরে পরিণত হল ।
আর মূসা তার হাত বের করলে তৎক্ষনাৎ তা দর্শকদের দৃষ্টিতে উজ্জ্বল-সাদা হয়ে দেখা দিল ।
ফির’আউন তার আশেপাশের পরিষদবৰ্গকে বলল , এ তো এক সুদক্ষ জাদুকর !
সে তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের দেশ থেকে তার জাদুবলে বহিস্কৃত করতে চায় । এখন তোমরা কী করতে বল ?
তারা বলল, তাকে ও তার ভাইকে কিছু সময়ের জন্য অবকাশ দিন এবং নগরে নগরে সংগ্রাহকদেরকে পাঠান ।
যেন তারা আপনার নিকট প্রতিটি সুদক্ষ যাদুকর উপস্থিত করে ।
অতঃপর এক নির্ধারিত দিনে নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে যাদুকরদের একত্র করা হল ।
আর লোকদেরকে বলা হলঃ তোমরাও সমবেত হচ্ছ কি ?
যাতে আমরা যাদুকরদের (এবং তাদের প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক ফেরাউনের) দীন অনুসরণ করতে পারি যদি তারা বিজয়ী হয় ।
অতঃপর জাদুকরেরা এসে ফির’আউনকে বলল, আমরা যদি বিজয়ী হই আমাদের জন্য পুরস্কার থাকবে তো ?
ফিরআউন বলল, হ্যাঁ, তখন তো তোমরা অবশ্যই আমার ঘনিষ্ঠদের শামিল হবে ।
মূসা তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমরা যা নিক্ষেপ করার তা নিক্ষেপ কর ।
অতঃপর তারা তাদের রশি ও লাঠি নিক্ষেপ করল এবং তারা বলল, ‘ফিরআউনের ইযযতের শপথ! আমরাই তো বিজয়ী হব ।
অতঃপর মূসা তার লাঠি নিক্ষেপ করলেন, সহসা সেটা তাদের অলীক সৃষ্টিগুলিকে গ্ৰাস করতে লাগল ।
তখন জাদুকরেরা সিজদাবনত হয়ে পড়ল ।
তারা বলল, আমরা ঈমান আনলাম সৃষ্টিকুলের রব-এর প্রতি
যিনি মূসা ও হারূনের রব।
ফির‘আউন বলল, ‘আমি তোমাদেরকে অনুমতি দেয়ার পূর্বেই তোমরা তার প্রতি ঈমান আনলে? নিশ্চয় সে তোমাদের গুরু যে তোমাদের যাদু শিক্ষা দিয়েছে। অতএব অচিরেই তোমরা এর পরিণাম জানতে পারবে । আমি অবশ্যই তোমাদের হাতসমূহ ও তোমাদের পাসমূহ বিপরীত দিক থেকে কেটে ফেলব এবং অবশ্যই তোমাদের সকলকে শূলিবিদ্ধ করব’।
তারা বলল, কোন ক্ষতি নেই , আমরা তো আমাদের রব-এর কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী ।
আমাদের একমাত্র আশা এই যে, আমাদের প্রতিপালক আমাদের ত্রুটি-বিচ্যুতি ক্ষমা করবেন, কারণ আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারীদের মধ্যে প্রথম ।
আর আমরা মূসার প্রতি ওহী করেছিলাম এ মর্মে যে, আমার বান্দাদেরকে নিয়ে রাতে বের হউন , অবশ্যই তোমাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করা হবে ।
তারপর ফির’আউন শহরে শহরে লোক সংগ্ৰহকারী পাঠাল ,
এই বলেঃ এরাতো [বনী-ইসরাঈলরা] ক্ষুদ্র একটি দল ।
আর তারা তো আমাদের ক্ৰোধ উদ্রেক করেছে;
আর আমরা অবশ্যই সদা সতর্ক একটি দল ।
পরিণামে আমরা ফিরআউন গোষ্ঠীকে বহিস্কৃত করলাম তাদের উদ্যানরাজি ও প্রস্রবণ হতে ।
এবং ধন-ভাণ্ডার ও সুরম্য সৌধমালা হতে ।
এরূপই ঘটেছিল এবং বানী ইসরাঈলকে আমরা করেছিলাম এ সমুদয়ের অধিকারী ।
অতঃপর তারা (ফেরাউন এবং তার সৈন্য-সামন্ত) সূর্যোদয়কালে তাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করল ।
অতঃপর যখন উভয় দল পরস্পরকে দেখল, তখন মূসার সাথীরা বলল, অবশ্যই ‘আমরা ধরা পড়ে গেলাম!’
মূসা বললেন, কক্ষণই নয় । আমার সঙ্গে আছেন আমার রব ; সত্বর তিনি আমাকে পথনির্দেশ করবেন ।
অতঃপর আমরা মূসার প্রতি ওহী করলাম যে, আপনার লাঠি দ্বারা সাগরে আঘাত করুন । ফলে তা বিভক্ত হয়ে গেল । তারপর প্রত্যেক ভাগ বিশাল পাহাড়সদৃশ হয়ে গেল ।
আর আমরা অপর দলটিকে [ফিরআউন ও তার সৈন্যদেরকে] সেখানে উপনীত করলাম ।
এবং আমরা উদ্ধার করলাম মূসা ও তার সঙ্গী সকলকে ।
তারপর নিমজ্জিত করলাম অন্য দলটিকে ।
এতে তো অবশ্যই নিদর্শন রয়েছে , কিন্তু ওদের অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাসী নয় ।
আর নিশ্চয়ই আপনার রব, তিনি তো পরাক্রমশালী, পরম দয়ালু ।

And [mention] when, [O Muhammad], your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"
He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me
And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.
And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."
[Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.
Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,
[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."
[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?
And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."
[Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray.
So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers.
And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"
Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"
[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."
[Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"
[Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."
[Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad."
[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."
[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."
[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"
[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."
So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest.
And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers.
[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.
He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers
Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician."
So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day .
And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate
That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"
And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."
So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."
Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified.
So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,
The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."
They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."
And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued."
Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers
[And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band,
And indeed, they are enraging us,
And indeed, we are a cautious society.
So We removed them from gardens and springs
And treasures and honorable station
Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel.
So they, [Pharaoh and his people], pursued them at sunrise.
And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"
[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."
Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.
And We advanced thereto the pursuers.
And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.
Then We drowned the others.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Surah 28 | Al-Qasas | আল-কাসাস | Verse: 1 - 50

ত্ব - সীন - মীম ।
এগুলো সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের আয়াত ।
আমরা আপনার কাছে মূসা ও ফিরআউনের কিছু বৃত্তান্ত যথাযথভাবে বিবৃত করছি , এমন সম্প্রদায়ের উদ্দেশ্যে যারা ঈমান আনে ।
নিশ্চয় ফিরআউন যমীনের বুকে অহংকারী হয়েছিল এবং সেখানকার অধিবাসীদেরকে বিভিন্ন শ্রেণীতে বিভক্ত করে তাদের একটি শ্রেণীকে সে হীনবল করেছিল; তাদের পুত্রদেরকে সে হত্যা করত এবং নারীদেরকে জীবিত থাকতে দিত। সে তো ছিল বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারী ।
আর আমরা ইচ্ছে করলাম, সে দেশে যাদেরকে হীনবল করা হয়েছিল তাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করতে এবং তাদেরকে উত্তরাধিকারী করতে ;
আর যমীনে তাদেরকে ক্ষমতায় প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে, আর ফিরআউন, হামান ও তাদের বাহিনীকে তা দেখিয়ে দিতে, যা তারা সে দূর্বল দলের কাছ থেকে আশংকা করত ।
আর মূসা-জননীর প্রতি আমরা নির্দেশ দিলাম, ‘তাকে দুধ পান করাও। যখন তুমি তার সম্পর্কে কোন আশংকা করবে, তখন একে দরিয়ায় নিক্ষেপ করো এবং ভয় করো না, ফেরেশানও হয়ো না। আমরা অবশ্যই একে তোমার কাছে ফিরিয়ে দেব এবং একে রাসূলদের একজন করব ।
অতঃপর ফিরআউনের লোকজন মূসাকে উঠিয়ে নিল। পরিণামে সে ওদের শত্রু ও দুঃখের কারণ হল । নিশ্চয় ফিরআউন, হামান ও ওদের বাহিনী ছিল অপরাধী ।
ফিরআউনের স্ত্রী বলল, ‘ এ শিশু আমার এবং তোমার নয়ন-প্রীতিকর। তোমরা একে হত্যা করো না । সম্ভবতঃ সে আমাদের উপকারে আসবে অথবা আমরা তাকে সন্তান হিসাবে গ্রহণ করব ।’ প্রকৃতপক্ষে ওরা এর পরিণাম বুঝতে পারেনি।
আর মূসা-জননীর হৃদয় অস্থির হয়ে পড়েছিল। যাতে সে আস্থাশীল হয় সে জন্য আমরা তার হৃদয়কে দৃঢ় করে না দিলে সে তার পরিচয় তো প্ৰকাশ করেই দিত ।
মূসার মা মূসার বোনকে বলল - ‘ তার পিছনে পিছনে যাও ।’ সে দূর থেকে তাকে দেখছিল কিন্তু তারা টের পায়নি ।
আর পূর্ব থেকেই আমরা ধাত্রী-স্তন্যপানে তাকে বিরত রেখেছিলাম । অতঃপর মূসার বোন বলল, তোমাদেরকে কি আমি এমন এক পরিবারের সন্ধান দেব, যারা তোমাদের হয়ে একে লালন-পালন করবে এবং এর মঙ্গলকামী হবে ?
অতঃপর আমি তাকে তার জননীর কাছে ফিরিয়ে দিলাম, যাতে তার চক্ষু জুড়ায়, সে দুঃখ না পায় এবং জানতে পারে যে, আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য । কিন্তু ওদের অধিকাংশই এ জানে না ।
আর যখন মূসা পূর্ণ যৌবনে উপনীত ও পরিণত বয়স্ক হল তখন আমরা তাকে হিকমত ও জ্ঞান দান করলাম ; আর এভাবেই আমরা সৎকর্মপরায়ণদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি ।
আর তিনি নগরীতে প্রবেশ করলেন, যখন এর অধিবাসীরা ছিল অসতর্ক । সেখানে তিনি দুটি লোককে সংঘর্ষে লিপ্ত দেখলেন, একজন তার নিজ দলের এবং অন্যজন তার শক্রদলের। অতঃপর মূসার দলের লোকটি ওরা শত্রুর বিরুদ্ধে তার সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করল, তখন মূসা তাকে ঘুষি মারলেন ; এভাবে তিনি তাকে হত্যা করে বসলেন। মূসা বললেন, এটা শয়তানের কাজ । নিশ্চয় সে পথভ্রষ্টকারী প্রকাশ্য শত্রু ।
তিনি (মূসা) বললেন, হে আমার রব! আমি তো আমার নিজের প্রতি যুলুম করেছি; কাজেই আপনি আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন। অতঃপর তিনি তাকে ক্ষমা করলেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু ।
মূসা আরও বললেন, হে আমার রব! আপনি যেহেতু আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন, আমি কখনো অপরাধীদের সাহায্যকারী হব না ।
অতঃপর ভীত-সতর্ক অবস্থায় সে নগরীতে তার প্রভাত হল । হঠাৎ সে শুনতে পেল, যে লোকটি গতকাল তার কাছে সাহায্য চেয়েছিল, সে আবার সাহায্যের জন্য চিৎকার করছে। মূসা তাকে বললেন, তুমি তো স্পষ্টই একজন বিভ্ৰান্ত ব্যক্তি ।
অতঃপর মূসা যখন উভয়ের শক্রকে ধরতে উদ্যত হলেন, তখন সে ব্যক্তি বলে উঠল, হে মূসা! গতকাল তুমি যেমন এক ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করেছ, সেভাবে আমাকেও কি হত্যা করতে চাচ্ছে? তুমি তো যমীনের বুকে স্বেচ্ছাচারী হতে চাচ্ছ, তুমি তো চাও না শান্তি স্থাপনকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হতে !
আর নগরীর দূর প্রান্ত থেকে এক ব্যক্তি ছুটে এসে বলল, হে মূসা! (ফিরআউনের) পরিষদবর্গ তোমাকে হত্যা করার পরামর্শ করছে । কাজেই তুমি বাইরে চলে যাও, আমি তো তোমার কল্যাণকামী ।
তখন তিনি ভীত সতর্ক অবস্থায় সেখান থেকে বের হয়ে পড়লেন এবং বললেন, হে আমার রব! আপনি যালিম সম্প্রদায় থেকে আমাকে রক্ষা করুন ।
আর যখন মূসা মাদইয়ান অভিমুখে যাত্রা করলেন তখন বললেন, আশা করি আমার রব আমাকে সরল পথ দেখাবেন ।
আর যখন সে মাদইয়ানের পানির নিকট উপনীত হল, তখন সেখানে একদল লোককে পেল, যারা (পশুদের) পানি পান করাচ্ছে এবং তাদের ছাড়া দু’জন নারীকে পেল, যারা তাদের পশুগুলোকে আগলে রাখছে। সে বলল, ‘তোমাদের ব্যাপার কী’? তারা বলল, ‘আমরা (আমাদের পশুগুলোর) পানি পান করাতে পারি না। যতক্ষণ না রাখালরা তাদের (পশুগুলো) নিয়ে সরে যায়। আর আমাদের পিতা অতিবৃদ্ধ’।
মূসা তখন তাদের পক্ষে পশুগুলোকে পানি পান করালেন। তারপর তিনি ছায়ার নীচে আশ্রয় গ্রহন করে বললেন, হে আমার রব! আপনি আমার প্রতি যে অনুগ্রহ করবেন আমি তার মুখাপেক্ষী ।
তখন নারী দুজনের একজন লজ্জা-জড়িত পায়ে তার কাছে আসল এবং বলল, আমার পিতা আপনাকে আমন্ত্রণ করছেন, আমাদের পশুগুলিকে পানি পান করানোর পারিশ্রমিক দেয়ার জন্য । অতঃপর মূসা তার কাছে এসে সমস্ত বৃত্তান্ত বৰ্ণনা করলে তিনি বললেন, ভয় করো না, তুমি যালিম সম্প্রদায়ের কবল থেকে বেঁচে গেছ ।
নারীদ্বয়ের একজন বলল, ‘হে আমার পিতা, আপনি তাকে মজুর নিযুক্ত করুন। নিশ্চয় আপনি যাদেরকে মজুর নিযুক্ত করবেন তাদের মধ্যে সে উত্তম, যে শক্তিশালী বিশ্বস্ত’।
তিনি মূসাকে বললেন, আমি আমার এ কন্যাদ্বয়ের একজনকে তোমার সাথে বিয়ে দিতে চাই, এ শর্তে যে, তুমি আট বছর আমার কাজ করবে, আর যদি তুমি দশ বছর পূর্ণ কর, সে তোমার ইচ্ছে। আমি তোমাকে কষ্ট দিতে চাই না। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছে করলে তুমি আমাকে সদাচারী পাবে ।
মূসা বললেন, আমার ও আপনার মধ্যে এ চুক্তিই রইল। এ দুটি মেয়াদের কোন একটি আমি পূর্ণ করলে আমার বিরুদ্ধে কোন অভিযোগ থাকবে না। আমরা যে বিষয়ে কথা বলছি আল্লাহ তার সাক্ষী ।
অতঃপর মূসা যখন তার মেয়াদ পূর্ণ করার পর সপরিবারে যাত্রা করলেন, তখন তিনি তুর পর্বতের দিকে আগুন দেখতে পেলেন। তিনি তার পরিজনবৰ্গকে বললেন, তোমরা অপেক্ষা কর, আমি আগুন দেখেছি, সম্ভবত আমি সেখান থেকে তোমাদের জন্য খবর আনতে পারি অথবা একখণ্ড জলন্ত কাঠ আনতে পারি যাতে তোমরা আগুন পোহাতে পার ।
অতঃপর যখন মূসা আগুনের কাছে পৌছলেন, তখন উপত্যকার ডান পার্শে পবিত্র ভূমিতে অবস্থিত বৃক্ষ থেকে তাকে আহবান করে বলা হলো, ‘হে মূসা, নিশ্চয় আমিই আল্লাহ, সৃষ্টিকুলের রব’।
আরও বলা হল, আপনি আপনার লাঠি নিক্ষেপ করুন। তারপর, তিনি যখন সেটাকে সাপের ন্যায় ছুটোছুটি করতে দেখলেন তখন পিছনের দিকে ছুটিতে লাগলেন এবং ফিরে তাকালেন না। তাকে বলা হল, হে মূসা! সামনে আসুন, ভয় করবেন না; নিশ্চয় আপনি তো নিরাপদ ।
আপনার হাত আপনার বগলে রাখুন, এটা বের হয়ে আসবে শুভ্ৰ-সমুজ্জল নির্দোষ হয়ে। আর ভয় দূর করার জন্য আপনার দুহাত নিজের দিকে চেপে ধরুন। অতঃপর এ দুটি আপনার রব-এর দেয়া প্রমাণ, ফিরআউন ও তার পরিষদ বর্গের জন্য । নিশ্চয় তারা পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায় ।
মূসা বললেন, হে আমার রব! আমি তো তাদের একজনকে হত্যা করেছি ফলে আমি আশংকা করছি তারা আমাকে হত্যা করবে ।
আর আমার ভাই হারূন, সে আমার চেয়ে স্পষ্টভাষী, অতএব তাকে আমার সাথে সাহায্যকারী হিসেবে প্রেরণ করুন, সে আমাকে সমর্থন করবে । আমি আশঙ্কা করছি যে, তারা আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলবে ।
আল্লাহ্‌ বললেন, অচিরেই আমরা আপনার ভাইয়ের দ্বারা আপনার বাহুকে শক্তিশালী করব এবং আপনাদের উভয়কে প্রাধান্য দান করব। ফলে তারা আপনাদের কাছে পৌছতে পারবে না। আপনারা এবং আপনাদের অনুসারীরা আমাদের নিদর্শন বলে তাদের উপর বিজয়ী হবেন ।
অতঃপর মূসা যখন তাদের কাছে আমাদের সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন নিয়ে আসল, তারা বলল, এটা তো অলীক জাদু মাত্ৰ ! আর আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কালে কখনো এরূপ কথা শুনিনি ।
আর মূসা বললেন , ‘আমার রব সম্যক অবগত আছেন, কে তাঁর কাছ থেকে হিদায়াত নিয়ে এসেছে এবং আখিরাতে কার পরিণাম শুভ হবে। নিশ্চয় যালিমরা সফল হবে না ’ ।
আর ফিরআউন বলল, হে পরিষদবর্গ! আমি ছাড়া তোমাদের অন্য কোন ইলাহ আছে বলে জানি না! অতএব হে হামান (ফিরআউনের মন্ত্রী) ! তুমি আমার জন্য ইট পোড়াও এবং একটি সুউচ্চ প্রাসাদ তৈরী কর; হয়ত আমি সেটাতে উঠে মূসার ইলাহকে দেখতে পারি। আর আমি তো মনে করি, সে অবশ্যই মিথ্যাবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ।
ফিরআউন ও তার বাহিনী অন্যায়ভাবে পৃথিবীতে অহংকার করেছিল এবং তারা মনে করেছিল যে, তাদেরকে আমাদের নিকট ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে না ।
অতঃপর আমরা তাকে ও তার বাহিনীকে পাকড়াও করলাম এবং তাদেরকে সাগরে নিক্ষেপ করলাম। সুতরাং দেখুন, যালিমদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছিল !
আর আমরা তাদেরকে (ফিরআউনের পরিষদবৰ্গ) নেতা করেছিলাম; তারা লোকদেরকে জাহান্নামের দিকে ডাকত ; এবং কিয়ামতের দিন তাদেরকে সাহায্য করা হবে না ।
আর এ দুনিয়াতে আমরা তাদের পিছনে লাগিয়ে দিয়েছি অভিসম্পাত এবং কিয়ামতের দিন তারা হবে ঘৃণিতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ।
আর অবশ্যই পূর্ববর্তী বহু প্ৰজন্মকে বিনাশ করার পর আমরা মূসাকে দিয়েছিলাম কিতাব, মানবজাতির জন্য জ্ঞান-বর্তিকা; পথনির্দেশ ও অনুগ্রহস্বরূপ; যাতে তারা উপদেশ গ্ৰহণ করে ।
আর (হে নবী) আমরা খন মূসাকে বিধান দিয়েছিলাম তখন আপনি (তূর পাহাড়ের) পশ্চিম পার্শে উপস্থিত ছিলেন না । আপনি প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীদেরও অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন না ।
বস্তুত (মূসার পর) আমরা অনেক প্রজন্মের আবির্ভাব ঘটিয়েছিলাম; তারপর তাদের উপর বহু যুগ অতিবাহিত হয়ে গেছে। আর আপনি তো মাদইয়ানবাসীদের মধ্যে বিদ্যমান ছিলেন না যে তাদের কাছে আমাদের আয়াতসমূহ তেলাওয়াত করবেন । মূলতঃ আমরাই ছিলাম রাসূল প্রেরণকারী।
আর মূসাকে যখন আমরা ডেকেছিলাম তখনও আপনি তুর পর্বতের পাশে উপস্থিত ছিলেন না । বস্তুত এটা আপনার রব-এর কাছ থেকে দয়াস্বরূপ, যাতে আপনি এমন এক সম্প্রদায়কে সতর্ক করতে পারেন, যাদের কাছে আপনার আগে কোন সতর্ককারী আসেনি, যেন তারা উপদেশ গ্ৰহণ করে;
আর রাসূল না পাঠালে তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য তাদের উপর কোন বিপদ হলে তারা বলত, হে আমাদের রব! আপনি আমাদের কাছে কোন রাসূল পাঠালেন না কেন? পাঠালে আমরা আপনার নিদর্শন মেনে চলতাম এবং আমরা মুমিনদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হতাম ।
অতঃপর যখন আমাদের কাছ থেকে তাদের কাছে সত্য আসল, তারা বলতে লাগল, মূসাকে যেরূপ দেয়া হয়েছিল, তাকে [মুহাম্মাদ (সাঃ)] সেরূপ দেয়া হল না কেন? কিন্তু আগে মূসাকে যা দেয়া হয়েছিল তা কি তারা অস্বীকার করেনি ? তারা বলেছিল, দুটিই যাদু, একে অন্যকে সমর্থন করে। এবং তারা বলেছিল, আমরা (তাওরাত ও কুরআন) সবই প্রত্যাখ্যান করি ।
বলুন, তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে এক কিতাব নিয়ে আস , যা এ দু’টো কিতাব থেকে উৎকৃষ্ট ; আমি তারই অনুসরণ করব, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাক’।
তারপর তারা যদি আপনার ডাকে সাড়া না দেয়, তাহলে জানবেন তারা তো শুধু নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীরই অনুসরণ করে। আর আল্লাহর পথ নির্দেশ আগ্রাহ্য করে যে ব্যক্তি নিজ খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে তার চেয়ে বেশী বিভ্রান্ত আর কে? আল্লাহ্‌ তো যালিম সম্প্রদায়কে হেদায়াত করেন না ।

Ta, Seen, Meem.
These are the verses of the clear Book.
We recite to you from the news of Moses and Pharaoh in truth for a people who believe.
Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their [newborn] sons and keeping their females alive. Indeed, he was of the corrupters.
And We wanted to confer favor upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them leaders and make them inheritors
And establish them in the land and show Pharaoh and [his minister] Haman and their soldiers through them that which they had feared.
And We inspired to the mother of Moses, "Suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers."
And the family of Pharaoh picked him up [out of the river] so that he would become to them an enemy and a [cause of] grief. Indeed, Pharaoh and Haman and their soldiers were deliberate sinners.
And the wife of Pharaoh said, "[He will be] a comfort of the eye for me and for you. Do not kill him; perhaps he may benefit us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceived not.
And the heart of Moses' mother became empty [of all else]. She was about to disclose [the matter concerning] him had We not bound fast her heart that she would be of the believers.
And she said to his sister, "Follow him"; so she watched him from a distance while they perceived not .
And We had prevented from him [all] wet nurses before, so she said, "Shall I direct you to a household that will be responsible for him for you while they are to him [for his upbringing] sincere?"
So We restored him to his mother that she might be content and not grieve and that she would know that the promise of Allah is true. But most of the people do not know.
And when he attained his full strength and was [mentally] mature, We bestowed upon him judgement and knowledge. And thus do We reward the doers of good.
And he entered the city at a time of inattention by its people and found therein two men fighting: one from his faction and one from among his enemy. And the one from his faction called for help to him against the one from his enemy, so Moses struck him and [unintentionally] killed him. [Moses] said, "This is from the work of Satan. Indeed, he is a manifest, misleading enemy."
He said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive me," and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
He said, "My Lord, for the favor You bestowed upon me, I will never be an assistant to the criminals."
And he became inside the city fearful and anticipating [exposure], when suddenly the one who sought his help the previous day cried out to him [once again]. Moses said to him, "Indeed, you are an evident, [persistent] deviator."
And when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy to both of them, he said, "O Moses, do you intend to kill me as you killed someone yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land and do not want to be of the amenders."
And a man came from the farthest end of the city, running. He said, "O Moses, indeed the eminent ones are conferring over you [intending] to kill you, so leave [the city]; indeed, I am to you of the sincere advisors."
So he left it, fearful and anticipating [apprehension]. He said, "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people."
And when he directed himself toward Madyan, he said, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to the sound way."
And when he came to the well of Madyan, he found there a crowd of people watering [their flocks], and he found aside from them two women driving back [their flocks]. He said, "What is your circumstance?" They said, "We do not water until the shepherds dispatch [their flocks]; and our father is an old man."
So he watered [their flocks] for them; then he went back to the shade and said, "My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."
Then one of the two women came to him walking with shyness. She said, "Indeed, my father invites you that he may reward you for having watered for us." So when he came to him and related to him the story, he said, "Fear not. You have escaped from the wrongdoing people."
One of the women said, "O my father, hire him. Indeed, the best one you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy."
He said, "Indeed, I wish to wed you one of these, my two daughters, on [the condition] that you serve me for eight years; but if you complete ten, it will be [as a favor] from you. And I do not wish to put you in difficulty. You will find me, if Allah wills, from among the righteous."
[Moses] said, "That is [established] between me and you. Whichever of the two terms I complete - there is no injustice to me, and Allah, over what we say, is Witness."
And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves."
But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree, "O Moses, indeed I am Allah, Lord of the worlds."
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.
Insert your hand into the opening of your garment; it will come out white, without disease. And draw in your arm close to you [as prevention] from fear, for those are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his establishment. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."
He said, "My Lord, indeed, I killed from among them someone, and I fear they will kill me.
And my brother Aaron is more fluent than me in tongue, so send him with me as support, verifying me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me."
[Allah] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant."
But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, "This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers."
And Moses said, "My Lord is more knowing [than we or you] of who has come with guidance from Him and to whom will be succession in the home. Indeed, wrongdoers do not succeed."
And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars."
And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us.
So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.
And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped.
And We caused to overtake them in this world a curse, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be of the despised.
And We gave Moses the Scripture, after We had destroyed the former generations, as enlightenment for the people and guidance and mercy that they might be reminded.
And you, [O Muhammad], were not on the western side [of the mount] when We revealed to Moses the command, and you were not among the witnesses [to that].
But We produced [many] generations [after Moses], and prolonged was their duration. And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our verses, but We were senders [of this message].
And you were not at the side of the mount when We called [Moses] but [were sent] as a mercy from your Lord to warn a people to whom no warner had come before you that they might be reminded.
And if not that a disaster should strike them for what their hands put forth [of sins] and they would say, "Our Lord, why did You not send us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses and been among the believers?"
But when the truth came to them from Us, they said, "Why was he not given like that which was given to Moses?" Did they not disbelieve in that which was given to Moses before? They said, "[They are but] two works of magic supporting each other, and indeed we are, in both, disbelievers."
Say, "Then bring a scripture from Allah which is more guiding than either of them that I may follow it, if you should be truthful."
But if they do not respond to you - then know that they only follow their [own] desires. And who is more astray than one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Surah 29 | Al-Ankabut | আল-আনকাবূত | Verse: 39

আর আমরা ধ্বংস করেছিলাম কারূন , ফির'আউন ও হামানকে । আর অবশ্যই মূসা তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ এসেছিল; অতঃপর তারা যমীনে অহংকার করেছিল ; কিন্তু তারা আমার শাস্তি এড়াতে পারেনি ।
And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment].

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 41 - 42

মানুষের কৃতকর্মের কারণে সমুদ্রে ও স্থলে বিপর্যয় ছড়িয়ে পড়ে , যার ফলে তাদেরকে কোন কোন কর্মের শাস্তি তিনি আস্বাদন করান, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে (সৎপথে) ।
বলুন , তোমরা পৃথিবীতে পরিভ্রমণ করে দেখ, তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছে । ওদের অধিকাংশই ছিল অংশীবাদী ।

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah].

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 44 - 45

যে অবিশ্বাস করে, অবিশ্বাসের জন্য সে-ই দায়ী ; যারা সৎ কাজ করে তারা নিজেদেরই জন্য রচনা করে শান্তির আবাস ।
যেন তিনি স্বীয় অনুগ্রহে প্রতিদান দেন, যারা ঈমান আনে এবং সৎকাজ করে তাদেরকে। নিশ্চয় তিনি কাফিরদের ভালবাসেন না ।

Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing,
That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

Surah 35 | Fatir | ফাতির | Verse: 18 - 26

কোন বহনকারী অন্যের (পাপের) বোঝা বহন করবে না, কোন (পাপে) ভারাক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি যদি কেহকে ও এটা বহন করতে আহবান করে তাহলে তার কিছুই বহন করা হবেনা , নিকট আত্মীয় হলেও । আপনি শুধু তাদেরকেই সতর্ক করতে পারেন যারা তাদের রবকে না দেখে ভয় করে এবং সালাত কায়েম করে । আর যে কেউ নিজেকে পরিশোধন করে , সে তো পরিশোধন করে নিজেরই কল্যাণের জন্য। আর আল্লাহরই দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন ।
সমান নয় অন্ধ ও চক্ষুষ্মান ,
আর না অন্ধকার ও আলো ,
আর না ছায়া ও রোদ ,
এবং সমান নয় জীবিত ও মৃত । আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা শ্রবণ করান ; আর আপনি শোনাতে পারবেন না যারা কবরে রয়েছে তাদেরকে ।
আপনি তো একজন সতর্ককারী মাত্র ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা আপনাকে সত্যসহ পাঠিয়েছি সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে ; আর এমন কোন সম্প্রদায় নেই যার নিকট সতর্ককারী প্রেরিত হয়নি ।
আর তারা যদি আপনার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তবে এদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও তো মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছিল — তাদের কাছে এসেছিল তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি , গ্রন্থাদি ও দীপ্তিমান কিতাবসহ ।
তারপর যারা কুফরি করেছিল আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম । সুতরাং (দেখে নিন) কেমন ছিল আমার প্রত্যাখ্যান (শাস্তি) !

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.
Not equal are the blind and the seeing,
Nor are the darknesses and the light,
Nor are the shade and the heat ,
And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves
You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner.
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

Surah 38 | Ṣād | সোয়াদ | Verse: 12 - 20

এদের পূর্বেও রসূলদেরকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছিল , নূহ, আ’দ ও বহু শিবিরের অধিপতি ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায় ।
সামূদ , লুত সম্প্রদায় ও আইকা'র অধিবাসী (শুআইব সম্প্রদায়) ওরা ছিল এক - একটি বিশাল বাহিনী ।
তাদের প্রত্যেকেই রাসূলগণের প্ৰতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল । ফলে তাদের ক্ষেত্রে আমার শান্তি ছিল অবধারিত ।
এরা তো অপেক্ষা করছে এক মহাগর্জনের , যাতে কোন বিরতি থাকবে না ।
আর তারা বলে, হে আমাদের রব ! হিসাব দিবসের আগেই আমাদের প্ৰাপ্য আমাদেরকে শীঘ্রই দিয়ে দিন !
তারা যা বলে তাতে আপনি ধৈর্য ধারণ করুন এবং স্মরণ করুন আমাদের শক্তিশালী বান্দা দাউদের কথা ; তিনি ছিলেন খুব বেশী আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
নিশ্চয় আমরা অনুগত করেছিলাম পর্বতমালাকে , যেন এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তার (দাউদ (আঃ) সাথে আমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করে ,
আর সমবেত পাখীদেরকেও (অনুগত করেছিলাম) তার , প্রত্যেকেই ছিল অধিক আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
আর আমরা তার রাজ্যকে সুদৃঢ় করেছিলাম , আর তাকে দিয়েছিলাম জ্ঞান-বুদ্ধি-বিচক্ষণতা আর বিচারকার্য ও কথাবার্তায় উত্তম সিদ্ধান্ত দানের যোগ্যতা ।

The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes,
And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies.
Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified.
And these [disbelievers] await not but one blast [of the Horn]; for it there will be no delay.
And they say, "Our Lord, hasten for us our share [of the punishment] before the Day of Account
Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah].
Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him (David), exalting [Allah] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise.
And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises].
And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech.

Surah 40 | Ghafir | গাফির (আল মু'মিন) | Verse: 21 - 50

এরা কি যমীনে বিচরণ করে না ? ফলে দেখত তাদের পূর্বে যারা ছিল তাদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছিল । তারা এদের চেয়ে যমীনে শক্তিতে এবং কীর্তিতে ছিল প্রবলতর। তারপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে তাদের অপরাধের জন্য পাকড়াও করলেন এবং আল্লাহর শাস্তি থেকে তাদেরকে রক্ষাকারী কেউ ছিল না ।
এটা এজন্য যে, রসূলগণ তাদের কাছে স্পষ্ট (নিদর্শন) নিয়ে এসেছিল । কিন্তু তারা তাদেরকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল । তখন আল্লাহ তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছিলেন । নিশ্চয়ই তিনি শক্তিশালী , কঠোর শাস্তিদাতা ।
আর অবশ্যই আমরা আমাদের নিদর্শন ও স্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ মূসাকে প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ।
ফিরআউন , হামান ও কারূণের নিকট ; কিন্তু তারা বলেছিলঃ এতো এক যাদুকর , চরম মিথ্যাবাদী ।
অতঃপর মূসা আমাদের নিকট থেকে সত্য নিয়ে তাদের কাছে উপস্থিত হলে তারা বলল , মূসার সাথে যারা ঈমান এনেছে , তাদের পুত্র সন্তানদেরকে হত্যা কর এবং তাদের নারীদেরকে জীবিত রাখ । কিন্তু কাফিরদের ষড়যন্ত্র ব্যর্থ হবেই ।
আর ফিরআউন বলল , ছেড়ে দাও আমাকে , আমি মূসাকে হত্যা করব , ডাকুক সে তার রব্বকে । আমি আশংকা করি যে , সে তোমাদের দীনের পরিবর্তন ঘটাবে অথবা সে পৃথিবীতে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টি করবে ।
মূসা বললেন, আমি আমার রব ও তোমাদের রবের নিকট আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি প্রত্যেক অহঙ্কারী থেকে , যে বিচার দিনের প্রতি ঈমান রাখে না ।
ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায়ের এক ব্যক্তি , যে বিশ্বাসী (মু’মিন) ছিল এবং নিজ বিশ্বাস গোপন রাখত , সে বলল, তোমরা কি এক ব্যক্তিকে এ জন্যই হত্যা করবে যে , সে বলে, আমার রব আল্লাহ, অথচ সে তোমাদের রবের কাছ থেকে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ তোমাদের কাছে এসেছে ? সে মিথ্যাবাদী হলে তার মিথ্যাবাদিতার জন্য সে দায়ী হবে । আর যদি সে সত্যবাদী হয় , তাহলে সে তোমাদেরকে যে শাস্তির কথা বলে , তার কিছু তো তোমাদের ওপর আপতিত হবে । নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সীমালংঘনকারী ও মিথ্যাবাদীকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করেন না ।
হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! আজ কর্তৃত্ব তোমাদের , দেশে তোমরাই প্রবল ; কিন্তু আমাদের উপর আল্লাহর শাস্তি এসে পড়লে কে আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করবে ? ফিরআউন বলল , আমি যা সঠিক মনে করি, তা তোমাদেরকে দেখাই । আর আমি তোমাদেরকে শুধু সঠিক পথই দেখিয়ে থাকি ।
বিশ্বাসী ব্যক্তিটি বলল , হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! আমি তোমাদের জন্য পূর্ববর্তী সম্প্রদায়সমূহের শাস্তির দিনের মত (দুর্দিনের) আশংকা করি ।
যেমন ঘটেছিল নূহ , আ দ, সামূদ এবং তাদের পরবর্তীদের ব্যাপারে । আর আল্লাহ্ বান্দাদের প্রতি কোন যুলুম করতে চান না ।
আর হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! আমি আশঙ্কা করছি তোমাদের আর্ত চিৎকার আর কান্নাকাটি করার একটি দিনের (কিয়ামতের) ।
যেদিন তোমরা পিছনে ফিরে পালাতে চাইবে , আল্লাহর শাস্তি হতে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করার কেউ থাকবে না । আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন , তার জন্য কোন পথপ্রদর্শক নেই ।
যেমন ঘটেছিল নূহ , আ দ, সামূদ এবং তাদের পরবর্তীদের ব্যাপারে । আর আল্লাহ্ বান্দাদের প্রতি কোন যুলুম করতে চান না ।
আর হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! আমি আশঙ্কা করছি তোমাদের আর্ত চিৎকার আর কান্নাকাটি করার একটি দিনের (কিয়ামতের) ।
যেদিন তোমরা পিছনে ফিরে পালাতে চাইবে , আল্লাহর শাস্তি হতে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করার কেউ থাকবে না । আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন , তার জন্য কোন পথপ্রদর্শক নেই ।
আর অবশ্যই পূর্বে তোমাদের কাছে ইউসুফ এসেছিলেন স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদিসহ ; অতঃপর তিনি তোমাদের কাছে যা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন তোমরা তাতে সর্বদা সন্দেহ করেছিলে । পরিশেষে যখন তার মৃত্যু হল তখন তোমরা বলেছিলে, তাঁর পরে আল্লাহ্ আর কোন রাসূল প্রেরণ করবেন না । এভাবেই আল্লাহ যে সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী , সংশয়বাদী তাকে বিভ্রান্ত করেন ।
যারা নিজেদের কাছে (তাদের দাবীর সমর্থনে) কোন দলীল-প্রমাণ না আসলেও আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলী সম্পর্কে বিতণ্ডায় লিপ্ত হয় । তাদের এ কাজ আল্লাহ ও মুমিনদের দৃষ্টিতে অতিশয় ঘৃণার্হ । এভাবেই আল্লাহ প্রত্যেক অহঙ্কারী স্বৈরাচারীর অন্তরে সীল মেরে দেন ।
ফিরআউন আরও বলল, হে হামান, আমার জন্য একটি উঁচু ইমারত বানাও যাতে আমি অবলম্বন পাই ।
আসমানে আরোহনের অবলম্বন , যেন দেখতে পাই মূসার ইলাহকে ; আর নিশ্চয় আমি তাকে মিথ্যাবাদী মনে করি । আর এভাবে ফিরআউনের কাছে শোভনীয় করা হয়েছিল তার মন্দ কাজকে এবং তাকে নিবৃত্ত করা হয়েছিল সরল পথ থেকে এবং ফিরআউনের ষড়যন্ত্র কেবল ব্যর্থই ছিল ।
বিশ্বাসী ব্যক্তিটি বলল, ‘হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! তোমরা আমার অনুসরণ কর , আমি তোমাদেরকে সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত করব ।
হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! এ পার্থিব জীবনতো অস্থায়ী উপভোগের বস্তু এবং আখিরাতই হচ্ছে চিরস্থায়ী আবাস ।
কেউ পাপ কাজ করলে তাকে শুধু পাপের সমান প্রতিদান দেয়া হবে আর যে পুরুষ অথবা নারী মুমিন হয়ে সৎকাজ করবে , তবে তারা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে , সেখানে তাদেরকে অগণিত রিয্ক দেয়া হবে ।
আর হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! আমার কি হলো যে , আমি তোমাদেরকে ডাকছি মুক্তির দিকে , আর তোমরা আমাকে ডাকছ আগুনের দিকে !
তোমরা আমাকে ডাকছ যাতে আমি আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করি এবং এমন কিছুকে তাঁর সমকক্ষ স্থির করি , যার সম্বন্ধে আমার কোন জ্ঞান নেই , পক্ষান্তরে আমি তোমাদেরকে আহবান করছি পরাক্রমশালী , পরম ক্ষমাশীল আল্লাহর দিকে ।
নিশ্চয়ই তোমরা আমাকে এমন একজনের প্রতি আহবান করছ , যে ইহলোকে ও পরলোকে কোথাও আহবান-যোগ্য নয় । বস্তুতঃ আমাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন তো আল্লাহর দিকে এবং অবশ্যই সীমালংঘনকারীরাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী ।
আমি তোমাদেরকে যা বলছি , তোমরা অচিরেই তা স্মরণ করবে এবং আমি আমার ব্যাপার আল্লাহর নিকট সমর্পণ করছি ; নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তাঁর বান্দাহদের উপর (সদাসর্বদা) দৃষ্টি রাখেন ।
অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে তাদের ষড়যন্ত্রের অনিষ্ট হতে রক্ষা করলেন এবং ফিরআউন গোষ্ঠীকে ঘিরে ফেলল কঠিন শাস্তি ;
সকাল - সন্ধ্যায় (কবরে) তাদেরকে উপস্থিত করা হয় আগুনের সম্মুখে এবং যেদিন কিয়ামাত সংঘটিত হবে সেদিন বলা হবেঃ ফির‘আউন সম্প্রদায়কে নিক্ষেপ কর কঠিনতম শাস্তিতে ।
আর জাহান্নামে তারা যখন বাদানুবাদে লিপ্ত হবে তখন দুর্বলরা , যারা অহঙ্কার করেছিল , তাদেরকে বলবে , আমরা তো তোমাদের অনুসারী ছিলাম , অতএব তোমরা কি আমাদের থেকে আগুনের কিয়দংশ বহন করবে ?
অহংকারীরা বলবে , আমরা সকলেই তো জাহান্নামে আছি , নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তাঁর বান্দাদের বিচার করে ফেলেছেন ।
জাহান্নামীরা জাহান্নামের প্রহরীদেরকে বলবে , তোমাদের রবকে একটু ডাকো না ! তিনি যেন একটি দিন আমাদের আযাব লাঘব করে দেন ।
তারা বলবে, তোমাদের নিকট কি স্পষ্ট নিদর্শনাবলী সহ তোমাদের রসূলগণ আসেনি ? (জাহান্নামীরা) বলবে , অবশ্যই এসেছিল । (প্রহরীরা) বলবে , তবে তোমরা প্রার্থনা করতে থাক । আর সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রার্থনা ব্যর্থই হয় ।

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector
That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment.
And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority
To Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun; but they said, "[He is] a magician and a liar."
And when he brought them the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who have believed with him and keep their women alive." But the plan of the disbelievers is not except in error.
And Pharaoh said, "Let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord. Indeed, I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land."
But Moses said, "Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account."
And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Do you kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is Allah' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then upon him is [the consequence of] his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of what he promises you. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar.
O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allah if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct."
And he who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies
Like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants.
And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allah any protector. And whoever Allah leaves astray - there is not for him any guide.
Like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants.

And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allah send a messenger after him.' Thus does Allah leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."
Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.
And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, construct for me a tower that I might reach the way
The ways into the heavens - so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin.
And he who believed said, "O my people, follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct.
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement.
Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account
And O my people, how is it that I invite you to salvation while you invite me to the Fire?
You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.
Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire.
And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants."
So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment
The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment."
And [mention] when they will argue within the Fire, and the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we were [only] your followers, so will you relieve us of a share of the Fire?"
Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants."
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment."
They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error."

Surah 40 | Ghafir | গাফির (আল মু'মিন) | Verse: 53 - 54

আর অবশ্যই আমরা মূসাকে পথনির্দেশিকা দান করেছিলাম এবং বনী ইসরাঈলকে উত্তরাধিকারী করেছিলাম কিতাবের (তাওরাত) ,
পথনির্দেশ ও উপদেশস্বরূপ বোধশক্তি সম্পন্ন লোকদের জন্য ।

And We had certainly given Moses guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture
As guidance and a reminder for those of understanding.

Surah 43 | Az-Zukhruf | আয-যুখরুফ | Verse: 6 - 25

পূর্বেকার জাতিগুলোর মধ্যে আমরা বহু নবী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ,
আর যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন নবী এসেছে তারা তাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করেছে ।
ফলে আমরা ধ্বংস করেছি তাদেরকে যারা ছিল এদের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি শক্তিশালী । আর পূর্ববর্তীদের দৃষ্টান্ত অতীত হয়ে গেছে ।
আর আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন , কে আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছে ? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে , এগুলো তো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ (আল্লাহ) ।
যিনি তোমাদের জন্য যমীনকে করেছেন বিস্তৃত , আর তাতে তোমাদের জন্য বানিয়েছেন চলার পথ - যাতে তোমরা সঠিক পথ পেতে পার ।
আর যিনি আসমান থেকে পরিমিতভাবে পানি বর্ষণ করেন । অতঃপর আমি তা দ্বারা মৃত জনপদকে সঞ্জীবিত করি । এভাবেই তোমাদেরকে পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে ।
আর যিনি সকল প্রকারের জোড়া যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যিনি তোমাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন এমন নৌযান ও গৃহপালিত জন্তু যাতে তোমরা আরোহণ কর ;
যাতে তোমরা এর পিঠে স্থির হয়ে বসতে পার , তারপর তোমাদের রবের অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ করবে যখন তোমরা এর উপর স্থির হয়ে বসবে; এবং বলবে , পবিত্ৰ-মহান তিনি, যিনি এগুলোকে আমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছেন । আর আমরা সমর্থ ছিলাম না , এদেরকে বশীভূত করতে ।
আর নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের রবের কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী ।
আর তারা তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে তাঁর অংশ সাব্যস্ত করেছে । নিশ্চয়ই মানুষ স্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ ।
তিনি কি তাঁর সৃষ্টি হতে নিজে কন্যা-সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান ?
দয়াময় আল্লাহর প্রতি তারা যা আরোপ করে (কন্যা-সন্তান) তাদের কেহকে সেই সন্তানের সংবাদ দেয়া হলে তার মুখমণ্ডল কালো হয়ে যায় এবং সে দুঃসহ মর্ম যাতনায় ক্লিষ্ট হয় ।
তারা কি আল্লাহর প্রতি আরোপ করে এমন সন্তান, যে অলংকারে আবৃত হয়ে লালিত পালিত হয় এবং তর্ক-বিতর্ক কালে স্পষ্ট যুক্তি দানে অসমর্থ ?
আর তারা দয়াময় আল্লাহর বান্দা ফেরেশতাগণকে নারী গণ্য করেছে ; এদের সৃষ্টি কি তারা দেখেছিল ? তাদের উক্তি লিপিবদ্ধ করা হবে এবং তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে ।
তারা আরও বলে , দয়াময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আমরা এদের পূজা করতাম না । এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই ; তারা তো শুধু অনুমান-ভিত্তিক কথাই বলে ।
নাকি আমরা তাদেরকে কুরআনের আগে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি । অতঃপর তারা তা দৃঢ়ভাবে ধারণ করে আছে ?
বরং তারা বলে , নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এক মতাদর্শের উপর পেয়েছি এবং নিশ্চয় আমরা তাদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণে হেদায়াতপ্ৰাপ্ত হব ।
আর এভাবেই আপনার পূর্বে কোন জনপদে যখনই আমরা কোন সতর্ককারী পাঠিয়েছি তখনই তার বিত্তশালী লোকেরা বলেছে , নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এক মতাদর্শে পেয়েছি এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে থাকব ।
(প্রত্যেক সতর্ককারী) বলেছে , তোমরা তোমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে যে পথে পেয়েছ , আমি যদি তোমাদের জন্য তার চেয়ে উৎকৃষ্ট পথ-নির্দেশ আনয়ন করি তবুও কি তোমরা তাদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করবে ? তারা বলতঃ তোমরা যা সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ আমরা তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করি ।
ফলে আমরা তাদের উপর প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করলাম , সুতরাং দেখুন , মিথ্যারোপকারীদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছে !

And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.
And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
[The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guided
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth -
And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount.
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful.
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons ?
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]?
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]
And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
And they said , " If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them ." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying .
Or have We given them a book before the Qur'an to which they are adhering?
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
So we took retribution from them; then see how was the end of the deniers.

Surah 43 | Az-Zukhruf | আয-যুখরুফ | Verse: 46 - 56

আর অবশ্যই মূসাকে আমরা আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলীসহ ফিরআউন ও তার নেতৃবর্গের নিকট পাঠিয়েছিলাম । তিনি বলেছিলেন , নিশ্চয় আমি সৃষ্টিকুলের রবের একজন রাসূল ।
অতঃপর যখন তিনি তাদের কাছে আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলীসহ আসলেন তখনি তারা তা নিয়ে হাসি-ঠাট্টা করতে লাগল ।
আর আমরা তাদেরকে যে নিদর্শনই দেখিয়েছি তা ছিল ওর পূর্ববর্তী নিদর্শন অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠতর । আর আমরা তাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা পাকড়াও করেছিলাম ; যাতে ওরা সৎপথে প্রত্যাবর্তন করে ।
(শাস্তিতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে) তারা বলেছিল , হে যাদুকর ! তোমার প্রতিপালক তোমার প্রতি যে অঙ্গীকার করেছেন তুমি তাঁর নিকট আমাদের জন্য তা প্রার্থনা কর ; (অঙ্গীকার পূর্ণ করলে) আমরা অবশ্যই সৎপথ অবলম্বন করব ।
অতঃপর যখন আমরা তাদের ওপর হতে শাস্তি সরিয়ে নিলাম তখনই তারা অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গ করে বসল ।
আর ফিরআউন তার সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে ঘোষণা করে বলল , হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! মিসর রাজ্য কি আমার নয় ? আর এ নদীগুলো আমার পাদদেশে দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে না , তোমরা কি দেখছ না ?
আমি কি এই ব্যক্তি থেকে শ্রেষ্ঠ নই , যে হীন এবং স্পষ্ট কথা বলতে ও প্রায় অক্ষম !
( সে যদি আল্লাহর রসূলই হয়ে থাকে ) তাহলে তাঁকে (মুসা) কেন স্বর্ণবলয় প্রদান করা হল না অথবা দলবদ্ধভাবে ফেরেশতাগণ তার সাথে কেন আসল না ?
এভাবে সে তার সম্প্রদায়কে বোকা বানাল , ফলে তারা তার কথা মেনে নিল৷ নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল এক ফাসিক (সত্যত্যাগী) সম্প্রদায় ।
অতঃপর যখন তারা আমাদেরকে ক্ৰোধাম্বিত করল তখন আমরা তাদের থেকে প্ৰতিশোধ নিলাম এবং নিমজ্জিত করলাম তাদের সকলকে একত্রিতভাবে ।
ফলে পরবর্তীদের জন্য আমরা তাদেরকে করে রাখলাম অতীত ইতিহাস ও দৃষ্টান্ত ।

And certainly did We send Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds."
But when he brought them Our signs, at once they laughed at them.
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
And they said [to Moses], "O magician, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. Indeed, we will be guided."
But when We removed from them the affliction, at once they broke their word.
And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?
Or am I [not] better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear?
Then why have there not been placed upon him bracelets of gold or come with him the angels in conjunction?"
So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allah].
And when they angered Us, We took retribution from them and drowned them all.
And We made them a precedent and an example for the later peoples.

Surah 44 | Ad-Dukhan | আদ-দুখান | Verse: 17 - 33

আর অবশ্যই এদের আগে আমরা ফির‘আউন সম্প্রদায়কে পরীক্ষা করেছিলাম এবং তাদের কাছেও এসেছিলেন এক সম্মানিত রাসূল ,
(তিনি ফিরআউনকে বলেছিলেন) আল্লাহর বান্দাদেরকে (বনী ইস্রাঈলদের) আমার কাছে ফিরিয়ে দাও । নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাদের জন্য এক বিশ্বস্ত রসূল ।
আর তোমরা আল্লাহর বিরুদ্ধে ঔদ্ধত্য প্রকাশ করো না , নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাদের কাছে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসব ।
আর নিশ্চয় আমি আমার রব ও তোমাদের রবের আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি, যাতে তোমরা আমাকে পাথরের আঘাত হত্যা করতে না পার ।
আর যদি তোমরা আমার কথায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন না কর, তবে তোমরা আমাকে ছেড়ে যাও । [ অর্থাৎ, আমাকে হত্যা করার অথবা কোন কষ্ট দেওয়ার প্রচেষ্টা করো না। ]
অতঃপর মূসা তার রবকে ডাকলেন , নিশ্চয় এরা এক অপরাধী সম্প্রদায় ।
(আল্লাহ বললেন) সুতরাং আপনি আমার বান্দাদেরকে নিয়ে রাতে বের হয়ে পড়ুন , নিশ্চয় তোমাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করা হবে ।
আর সমুদ্রকে স্থির থাকতে দিন , নিশ্চয় তারা হবে এমন এক বাহিনী যা ডুবে মরবে ।
তারা পিছনে রেখে গিয়েছিল কত উদ্যান আর ঝর্ণা ,
কত শস্যক্ষেত ও সুরম্য প্রাসাদ ,
কত বিলাস-সামগ্রী , যাতে ওরা আনন্দিত ছিল !
এরূপই ঘটেছিল এবং আমরা এ সবকিছুর উত্তরাধিকারী করেছিলাম ভিন্ন সম্প্রদায়কে ।
আকাশ ও পৃথিবী কেউই ওদের জন্যে অশ্রুপাত করেনি এবং তাদেরকে অবকাশও দেয়া হয়নি ।
আর অবশ্যই আমরা উদ্ধার করেছিলাম বনী ইসরাঈলকে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তি হতে ।
ফিরআউন থেকে ; নিশ্চয় সে ছিল সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদের মধ্যে শীর্ষস্থানীয় ।
আর আমরা জ্ঞাতসারেই তাদেরকে (অর্থাৎ বানী ইসরাঈলকে) সকল সৃষ্টির উপর নির্বাচিত করেছিলাম ।
আর আমরা তাদেরকে এমন নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়েছিলাম যাতে ছিল সুস্পষ্ট পরীক্ষা ;

And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger,
[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger,"
And [saying], "Be not haughty with Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority.
And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.
But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone."
And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people.
[Allah said], "Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued.
And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned."
How much they left behind of gardens and springs .
And crops and noble sites
And comfort wherein they were amused.
Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people.
And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved.
And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment -
From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors.
And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds.
And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial.

Surah 50 | Qaf | কাফ | Verse: 12 - 14

তাদের পূর্বেও সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায় , রা'স ও সামূদ সম্প্রদায়
আদ, ফির‘আউন ও লূত সম্প্রদায় ।
আর আইকার অধিবাসী ও তুব্বা সম্প্রদায়; তারা সকলেই রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল, ফলে তাদের উপর আমার শাস্তি যথার্থভাবে আপতিত হয়েছে ।

The people of Noah denied before them , and the companions of the well and Thamud
And ' Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba '. All denied the messengers , so My threat was justly fulfilled .

Surah 51 | Adh-Dhariyat | আয-যারিয়াত | Verse: 38 - 40

আর নিদর্শন রেখেছি মূসার বৃত্তান্তে । যখন আমি তাকে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ ফিরআউনের নিকট প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ।
তখন সে ক্ষমতার অহংকারে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিল এবং বলল , এ ব্যক্তি হয় এক জাদুকর , না হয় এক উন্মাদ ।
কাজেই আমরা তাকে ও তার দলবলকে শাস্তি দিলাম এবং ওদের সাগরে নিক্ষেপ করলাম , আর সে ছিল তিরস্কৃত ।

And in Moses [was a sign] , when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority .
But he turned away with his supporters and said ," A magician or a madman. "
So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea , and he was blameworthy .

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 41 - 42

ফেরাউন গোষ্ঠীর কাছে ও (আমার) সতর্কবাণী এসেছিল । তারা আমার সকল নিদর্শনকে অস্বীকার করল , অতএব আমি মহাপরাক্রমশালী , সর্বশক্তিমানের মতই তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করলাম ।
And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning . They denied Our signs, all of them , so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability .

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 51

আর আমি তো তোমাদের মত অনেককে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি , অতএব কোন উপদেশ গ্রহণকারী আছে কি ?
And We have already destroyed your kinds , so is there any who will remember ?

Surah 69 | Al-Haqqa | আল-হাক্কাহ | Verse: 1 - 37

অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা ( কিয়ামত ) ।
কী সেই অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা ?
আর কিসে আপনাকে জানাবে সে অবশ্যম্ভাবী ঘটনা কী ?
আদ ও সামূদ জাতি সেই আকস্মিকভাবে সংঘটিতব্য মহাবিপদকে মিথ্যে বলেছিল ।
অতঃপর সামূদ সম্প্রদায়, তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল এক প্ৰলয়ংকর বিপর্যয়কারী প্ৰচণ্ড চীৎকার দ্বারা ।
আর ‘ আদ সম্প্রদায়, তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল প্রচন্ড ঠান্ডা ঝঞ্ঝাবায়ু দ্বারা ।
যা তিনি তাদের উপর প্রবাহিত করেছিলেন সাতরাত ও আটদিন বিরামহীনভাবে ; তখন আপনি উক্ত সম্প্রদায়কে দেখতেন — তারা সেখানে লুটিয়ে পড়ে আছে সারশূন্য খেজুর কাণ্ডের ন্যায় ।
অতঃপর তাদের কাউকে ও আপনি বিদ্যমান দেখতে পান কি ?
আর ফিরআউন, তার পূর্ববর্তীরা এবং উল্টে যাওয়া বস্তিবাসীরা ( লূত সম্প্রদায় ) পাপ করেছিল।
তারা তাদের প্রতিপালকের রসূলকে অমান্য করেছিল , ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে অতি কঠোরভাবে পাকড়াও করলেন ।
যখন জলোচ্ছ্বাস হল , অবশ্যই তখন আমি তোমাদেরকে নৌযানে আরোহণ করিয়েছি ।
আমরা এটা করেছিলাম তোমাদের শিক্ষার জন্য এবং এজন্যে যে, যাতে শ্রুতিধর কান এটা সংরক্ষণ করে।
অতঃপর যখন শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেওয়া হবে একটি মাত্র ফুৎকার ।
তখন পর্বতমালা সহ পৃথিবী উৎক্ষিপ্ত হবে এবং একই ধাক্কায় ওগুলো চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হয়ে যাবে ।
সেদিন সংঘটিত হবে মহাঘটনা (কিয়ামত)।
আর আসমান বিদীর্ণ হয়ে যাবে । ফলে সেদিন তা হয়ে যাবে দুর্বল বিক্ষিপ্ত ।
আর ফেরেশতাগণ আসমানের প্রান্ত দেশে থাকবে এবং সেদিন আটজন ফিরিশতা আপনার রবের আরশকে ধারণ করবে তাদের উপরে ।
সেদিন উপস্থিত করা হবে তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমাদের কোন গোপনই আর গোপন থাকবে না ।
তখন যাকে তার আমলনামা তার ডান হাতে দেয়া হবে, সে বলবে , ‘ এই যে আমার ‘আমালানামা পড়ে দেখ ,
আমার পূর্ণ বিশ্বাস ছিল যে , আমাকে আমার হিসাবের সম্মুখীন হতে হবে । ’
কাজেই সে যাপন করবে সন্তোষজনক জীবন ;
সুউচ্চ জান্নাতে
যার ফলরাশি অবনমিত থাকবে নাগালের মধ্যে ।
( তাদেরকে বলা হবে, ) ‘ পানাহার কর তৃপ্তির সাথে , তোমরা অতীত দিনে যা করেছিলে তার বিনিময়ে ।’
কিন্তু যার আমলনামা তার বাম হাতে দেওয়া হবে , সে বলবে , ‘ হায় ! আমাকে যদি দেওয়াই না হত আমার আমলনামা ।
এবং আমি যদি না জানতাম আমার হিসাব ।
হায় ! আমার মৃত্যুই যদি আমার শেষ হত !
আমার ধন-সম্পদ আমার কোন কাজেই এল না ।
আমার ক্ষমতাও আমার থেকে চলে গেল !
ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলা হবে , ধর তাকে , তার গলায় বেড়ী পরিয়ে দাও ।
‘ তারপর তাকে তোমরা নিক্ষেপ কর জাহান্নামে ’ ।
তারপর ওকে শিকল দিয়ে বাঁধ- সত্তর হাত দীর্ঘ এক শিকলে ,
নিশ্চয় সে মহান আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমানদার ছিল না ,
আর অভাবগ্রস্তকে খাদ্যদানে উৎসাহিত করত না ।
অতএব আজ এখানে তার কোন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু থাকবে না ।
এবং কোন খাদ্য থাকবে না ক্ষতনিঃসৃত পুঁজ ব্যতীত ।
যা অপরাধী ছাড়া কেউ খাবে না ।

The Inevitable Reality .
What is the Inevitable Reality ?
And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality ?
Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity .
So as for Thamud , they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].
And as for 'Aad , they were destroyed by a screaming , violent wind
Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession , so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
Then do you see of them any remains ? -And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.
And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].
Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.
Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow
Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm .
And the angels are at its edges . And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them , that Day , eight [of them] .
That Day , you will be exhibited [for judgement] ; not hidden among you is anything concealed .
So as for he who is given his record in his right hand , he will say , " Here , read my record !
Indeed , I was certain that I would be meeting my account ."
So he will be in a pleasant life
In an elevated garden ,
Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near .
[They will be told] , " Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past ."
But as for he who is given his record in his left hand , he will say , " Oh , I wish I had not been given my record
And had not known what is my account .
I wish my death had been the decisive one .
My wealth has not availed me .
Gone from me is my authority .
[Allah will say] , " Seize him and shackle him .
Then into Hellfire drive him .
Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him ."
Indeed , he did not used to believe in Allah , the Most Great ,
Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor .
So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend
Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds ;
None will eat it except the sinners .

Surah 89 | Al-Fajr | আল-ফাজর | Verse: 6 - 14

আপনি দেখেননি আপনার রব কিরূপ আচরণ করেছিলেন ‘আদ জাতির সাথে ?
ইরাম গোত্রের সাথে, যারা ছিল সুউচ্চ স্তম্ভের অধিকারী ?
যার সমতুল্য জাতি অন্য কোন দেশে সৃষ্টি হয়নি।
এবং সামূদ জাতির সাথে? যারা উপত্যকায় পাথর কেটে গৃহ নির্মাণ করেছিল?
এবং বহু সৈন্য শিবিরের অধিপতি ফিরাউনের সাথে?
যারা দেশের মধ্যে উদ্ধত আচরণ করেছিল।
অনন্তর সেখানে তারা বিপর্যয় বৃদ্ধি করেছিল।
ফলে আপনার রব তাদের উপর শাস্তির কশাঘাত হানলেন।
নিশ্চয় আপনার রব সতর্ক দৃষ্টি রাখেন।

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes?
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
And increased therein the corruption.
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
