যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |
যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper. | Surah 4 , An-Nisa , Verse: 85 |

Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is a central figure in Islam, revered for his unwavering faith and devotion to Allah. Born into a society steeped in idol worship, he stood firmly against the practices of his people, rejecting the worship of idols from a young age. Abraham's profound belief in the Oneness of Allah led him to challenge his father and the community, questioning their blind adherence to false gods. Despite facing rejection, threats, and even being cast into a fire by his people, Prophet Abraham remained steadfast in his mission. Through a miraculous intervention, Allah saved him from the fire, further strengthening his position as a leader of monotheism. His willingness to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismail , at Allah’s command is another testament to his deep submission to the will of God. This act of obedience is commemorated annually during Eid al-Adha.

নবী ইব্রাহিম, ইসলাম ধর্মের অন্যতম প্রধান ব্যক্তিত্ব, যিনি আল্লাহর প্রতি তাঁর অটল বিশ্বাস ও অনুগতির জন্য শ্রদ্ধেয়। তিনি এমন একটি সমাজে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছিলেন, যা মূর্তিপূজায় নিমজ্জিত ছিল, কিন্তু ছোটবেলা থেকেই তিনি তাঁর জাতির এই ভ্রান্ত প্রথার বিরুদ্ধে কঠোরভাবে অবস্থান নেন এবং মূর্তির পূজা প্রত্যাখ্যান করেন। আল্লাহর একত্ববাদে তাঁর গভীর বিশ্বাস তাঁকে তাঁর পিতা ও সমাজকে চ্যালেঞ্জ জানাতে উদ্বুদ্ধ করে, যেখানে তিনি তাঁদের অন্ধভাবে মিথ্যা দেবতাদের অনুসরণের সমালোচনা করেন। প্রতিরোধ, হুমকি, এমনকি তাঁর জাতির পক্ষ থেকে তাঁকে আগুনে নিক্ষেপ করার পরও, নবী ইব্রাহিম নিজের দায়িত্বে অবিচল থাকেন। আল্লাহর এক অলৌকিক হস্তক্ষেপে তিনি আগুন থেকে রক্ষা পান, যা তাঁকে একত্ববাদের একজন শক্তিশালী নেতা হিসেবে আরও প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে। আল্লাহর আদেশে তাঁর প্রিয় পুত্র ইসমাইল কে কুরবানি দেওয়ার ইচ্ছা তাঁর আল্লাহর প্রতি গভীর আত্মসমর্পণের আরেকটি প্রমাণ। এই আনুগত্যের কাজ প্রতি বছর ঈদ-উল-আযহা উপলক্ষে উদযাপিত হয়।

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
আল্লাহর নামে, যিনি পরম করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু

Surah 4 | An-Nisa | আন-নিসা | Verse: 163

নিশ্চয় আমরা, [হে মুহাম্মাদ], আপনার নিকট ওহী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম । যেমন নূহ ও তার পরবর্তী নবীগণের প্রতি ওহী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম । আর ইবরাহীম, ইসমাঈল, ইসহাক, ইয়াকুব ও তার বংশধরগণ, ঈসা, আইউব, ইউনুস, হারূন ও সুলাইমানের নিকট ওহী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম এবং দাউদকে প্রদান করেছিলাম যাবূর ।
Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].

Surah 9 | At-Tawba | আত-তাওবা | Verse: 114

নিজ পিতার জন্য ইবরাহীমের ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা তো ছিল একটি ওয়াদার কারণে, যে ওয়াদা সে তাকে দিয়েছিল। তারপর যখন এটা তার কাছে সুস্পষ্ট হল যে, সে (পিতা) আল্লাহর শক্র তখন ইবরাহীম তার সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করলেন। বাস্তবিকই ইব্রাহীম ছিল অতিশয় কোমল হৃদয়, সহনশীল।
And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate and patient.

Surah 11 | Hud | হুদ | Verse: 69 - 76

আর অবশ্যই আমার ফেরেশতারা সুসংবাদ নিয়ে ইবরাহীমের কাছে আসল , তারা বলল , ‘ সালাম ’। সেও বলল , ‘ সালাম ’। বিলম্ব না করে সে একটি ভুনা গো বাছুর নিয়ে আসল ।
অতঃপর তিনি যখন দেখলেন তাদের হাত সেটার দিকে প্রসারিত হচ্ছে না , তখন তাদেরকে অবাঞ্ছিত মনে করলেন এবং তাদের সম্বন্ধে তার মনে ভীতি সঞ্চার হল । তারা বলল , ভয় করবেন না , আমরা তো লুতের সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি ।
আর তার স্ত্রী দাঁড়ানো ছিলেন , অতঃপর তিনি হেসে ফেললেন । অতঃপর আমরা তাকে ইসহাকের ও ইসহাকের পরবর্তী ইয়াকুবের সুসংবাদ দিলাম ।
সে বলল , ‘ হায় , কী আশ্চর্য ! আমি কি সন্তান প্রসব করব অথচ আমি বৃদ্ধা এবং আমার এই স্বামীও বৃদ্ধ ! বাস্তবিকই এটা তো একটা বিস্ময়কর ব্যাপার !’
তারা বলল , ‘ আল্লাহর কাজে তুমি আশ্চর্য হচ্ছ , ওহে (ইবরাহীমের) পরিবারবর্গ! তোমাদের উপর রয়েছে আল্লাহর দয়া ও বরকতসমূহ , তিনি বড়ই প্রশংসিত , বড়ই মহান ।’
অতঃপর যখন ইব্রাহীমের সেই ভয় দূর হয়ে গেল এবং সে সুসংবাদ প্রাপ্ত হল , তখন আমার (প্রেরিত ফিরিশতাদের) সাথে লূত-সম্প্রদায় সম্বন্ধে বাদানুবাদ করতে লাগলেন ।
নিশ্চয় ইবরাহীম অত্যন্ত সহনশীল , অধিক অনুনয় বিনয়কারী , আল্লাহমুখী ।
হে ইবরাহীম , তুমি এ থেকে বিরত হও । নিশ্চয় তোমার রবের সিদ্ধান্ত এসে গেছে এবং নিশ্চয় তাদের উপর আসবে আযাব, যা প্রতিহত হবার নয় ।

And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings ; they said , "Peace ." He said , " Peace ," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf .
But when he saw their hands not reaching for it , he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension . They said , "Fear not . We have been sent to the people of Lot ."
And his Wife was standing , and she smiled . Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac , Jacob
She said, " Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband , is an old man ? Indeed, this is an amazing thing !"
They said , " Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house . Indeed , He is Praiseworthy and Honorable ."
And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him , he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot .
Indeed , Abraham was forbearing , grieving and [frequently] returning [to Allah] .
[The angels said] , "O Abraham, give up this [plea] . Indeed, the command of your Lord has come , and indeed , there will reach them a punishment that cannot be repelled ."

Surah 14 | Ibrahim | ইবরাহীম | Verse: 35 - 40

আর স্মরণ করুন, যখন ইবরাহীম বলেছিলেন, হে আমার রব! এ শহরকে (মক্কাকে) নিরাপদ করুন এবং আমাকে ও আমার পুত্রদেরকে মূর্তি পূজা হতে দূরে রাখুন । হে আমার রব! এ সব মূর্তি তো বহু মানুষকে বিভ্রান্ত করেছে । কাজেই যে আমার অনুসরণ করবে সে আমার দলভুক্ত, কিন্তু কেউ আমার অবাধ্য হলে আপনি তো ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু । হে আমাদের রব! আমি আমার বংশধরদের কিছু সংখ্যককে বসবাস করালাম অনুর্বর উপত্যকায় আপনার পবিত্র ঘরের কাছে, হে আমাদের রব! এ জন্যে যে, তারা যেন সালাত কায়েম করে। অতএব আপনি কিছু লোকের অন্তর তাদের প্রতি অনুরাগী করে দিন এবং ফল-ফলাদি দিয়ে তাদের রিযকের ব্যবস্থা করুন , যাতে তারা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে । হে আমাদের রব! আপনি তো জানেন যা আমরা গোপন করি ও যা আমরা প্রকাশ করি; আর কোন কিছুই আল্লাহর কাছে গোপন নেই, না যমীনে না আসমানে । মস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহরই, যিনি আমাকে আমার বার্ধক্যে ইসমাঈল ও ইসহাককে দান করেছেন। নিশ্চয় আমার রব দোআ শ্রবণকারী । হে আমার রব! আমাকে সালাত কায়েমকারী করুন এবং আমার বংশধরদের মধ্য হতেও। হে আমাদের রব! আর আমার দো'আ কবুল করুন ।

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city [Makkah] secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols. My Lord, indeed they have led astray many among the people. So whoever follows me - then he is of me; and whoever disobeys me - indeed, You are [yet] Forgiving and Merciful. Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful. Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the heaven. Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication . My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

Surah 16 | An-Nahl | আন-নাহাল | Verse: 120 - 122

নিশ্চয় ইবরাহীম ছিলেন এক উম্মত*, আল্লাহর একান্ত অনুগত ও একনিষ্ঠ। তিনি মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিলেন না। সে ছিল আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহের জন্য কৃতজ্ঞ; আল্লাহ তাকে মনোনীত করেছিলেন এবং তাকে পরিচালিত করেছিলেন সরল পথে। আর আমি তাকে দুনিয়াতে কল্যাণ দান করেছি এবং নিঃসন্দেহে সে আখিরাতে নেককারদের দলভুক্ত।
Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader, devoutly obedient to Allah, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allah. [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path. And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.

Surah 21 | Al-Anbiya | আল-আম্বিয়া | Verse: 51 - 73

আর আমরা তো ইতোপূর্বে ইবরাহীমকে সঠিক পথে চলার জ্ঞান দান করেছিলাম এবং আমরা তার সম্বন্ধে ছিলাম সম্যক অবগত ।
যখন তিনি তার পিতা ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে বললেন, এ মূর্তিগুলো কী, যাদের পূজায় তোমরা রত রয়েছ !
তারা বলল, আমরা আমাদের পিতৃ পুরুষদেরকে এদের ইবাদত করতে দেখেছি।
তিনি বললেন, অবশ্যই তোমরা নিজেরা এবং তোমাদের পিতৃপুরুষরাও রয়েছ স্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে ।
তারা বলল, তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে সত্য নিয়ে এসেছ, না তুমি আমাদের সঙ্গে তামাশা করছ ?
তিনি বললেন, বরং তোমাদের রব তো আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের রব, যিনি সেগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং এ বিষয়ে আমি অন্যতম সাক্ষী ।
আর আল্লাহর শপথ, তোমরা পিছন ফিরে চলে গেলে আমি তোমাদের মূর্তিগুলো সম্বন্ধে অবশ্যই কৌশল অবলম্বন করব ।
অতঃপর তিনি চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দিলেন মূর্তিগুলোকে, তাদের প্রধানটি ছাড়া; যাতে তারা তার দিকে ফিরে আসে ।
তারা বলল, আমাদের মা’বুদগুলোর প্ৰতি এরূপ করল কে? সে নিশ্চয়ই সীমালংঘনকারী ।
তাদের কেউ কেউ বলল, ‘আমরা শুনেছি এক যুবক এই মূর্তিগুলোর সমালোচনা করে। তাকে বলা হয় ইবরাহীম’।
তারা বলল, তাহলে তাকে জনসমক্ষে উপস্থিত কর, যাতে তারা সাক্ষ্য সাক্ষ্য দিতে পারে ।
তারা বলল, হে ইবরাহীম! তুমিই কি আমাদের মা’বুদগুলোর প্রতি এরূপ করেছ?
তিনি বললেন, বরং এদের এ প্রধান-ই তো এটা করেছে । সুতরাং তোমরা ওদেরকেই জিজ্ঞেস কর; যদি ওরা কথা বলতে পারে ।
তখন তারা মনে মনে চিন্তা করে দেখল এবং একে অপরকে বলতে লাগলঃ তোমরাইতো সীমালংঘনকারী ।
তারপর তাদের মাথা নত হয়ে গেল এবং তারা বলল, তুমি তো জানই যে, এরা কথা বলে না ।
ইবরাহীম বললেন, তবে কি তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুর ইবাদত কর যা তোমাদের কোন উপকার করতে পারে না এবং অপকারও করতে পারে না ?
ধিক তোমাদের জন্য এবং আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদের ইবাদত কর তাদের জন্য ! তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝবে না ?
তারা বলল, তাকে পুড়িয়ে ফেল এবং সাহায্য কর তোমাদের উপাস্যগুলিকে; যদি তোমরা কিছু করতে চাও।
আমরা বললাম, হে আগুন! তুমি ইবরাহীমের জন্য শীতল ও নিরাপদ হয়ে যাও।
আর তারা তার ক্ষতি সাধনের ইচ্ছা করেছিল। কিন্তু আমরা তাদেরকেই সর্বাধিক ক্ষতিগ্ৰস্ত করে দিলাম ।
এবং আমরা তাকে ও লুতকে উদ্ধার করে নিয়ে গেলাম সে দেশে ( শাম দেশ - বর্তমানে সিরিয়া ও প্যালেষ্টাইন) , যেখানে আমরা কল্যাণ রেখেছি সৃষ্টিজগতের জন্য ।
এবং আমরা ইবরাহীমকে দান করেছিলাম ইসহাক (পুত্র) আর অতিরিক্ত পুরস্কারস্বরূপ ইয়াকুবকে (পৌত্র); এবং প্রত্যেককেই করেছিলাম সৎকর্মপরায়ণ।
আর আমরা তাদেরকে করেছিলাম নেতা; তারা আমাদের নির্দেশ অনুসারে মানুষকে সঠিক পথ দেখাত; আর আমরা তাদেরকে সৎকাজ করতে ও সালাত কায়েম করতে এবং যাকাত প্ৰদান করতে ওহী পাঠিয়েছিলাম; এবং তারা আমাদেরই ইবাদতকারী ছিল।

And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing .
When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"
They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them."
He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."
They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"
He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.
And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away."
So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers."
They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."
They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify."
They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?"
He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."
Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"
He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?
Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?"
They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."
Allah said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham."
And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers.
And We delivered him and Lot to the land ( present-day Syria and Palestine) which We had blessed for the worlds.
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakah; and they were worshippers of Us.

Surah 22 | Al-Hajj | আল-হজ্জ | Verse: 26 - 34

আর স্মরণ করুন, যখন আমরা ইবরাহীমকে (বায়তুল্লাহ্র) গৃহের স্থান চিহ্নিত করে দিয়েছিলাম, তখন বলেছিলাম , আমার সাথে কোন কিছু শরীক করবেন না এবং আমার ঘরকে তাওয়াফকারী, সালাতে দণ্ডায়মান, এবং রুকূ’ ও সিজদাকারীদের জন্য পবিত্র রাখুন ।
আর মানুষের কাছে হজের ঘোষণা করে দিন, তারা আপনার কাছে আসবে পায়ে হেঁটে এবং সব ধরনের কৃশকায় উটের পিঠে করে, তারা আসবে দূর-দূরান্তের পথ অতিক্রম করে ।
যাতে তারা তাদের কল্যাণের স্থানগুলোতে উপস্থিত হতে পারে এবং তিনি তাদেরকে চতুষ্পদ জন্তু হতে যা রিযক হিসেবে দিয়েছেন তার উপর নির্দিষ্ট দিনগুলোতে আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করতে পারে । অতঃপর তোমরা তা থেকে খাও এবং দুঃস্থ, অভাবগ্ৰস্তকে আহার করাও ।
তারপর তারা যেন তাদের অপরিচ্ছন্নতা দূর করে এবং তাদের মানত পূর্ণ করে আর তাওয়াফ করে প্রাচীন ঘরের (কা’বা) ।
এটাই বিধান এবং কেহ আল্লাহ কর্তৃক নির্ধারিত বিধানাবলীর প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শন করলে তার রবের নিকট তা উত্তম। তোমাদের জন্য হালাল করা হয়েছে চতুস্পদ পশু, ঐগুলি ব্যতীত যা তোমাদেরকে বলা হয়েছে। সুতরাং তোমরা বর্জন কর মূর্তি পূজার অপবিত্রতা এবং দূরে থাক মিথ্যা বলা হতে ।
আল্লাহর প্রতি একনিষ্ঠ হয়ে এবং তাঁর কোন শরীক না করে। আর যে কেউ আল্লাহর সাথে শরীক করে (তার অবস্থা) সে যেন আকাশ হতে পড়ল, অতঃপর পাখি তাকে ছোঁ মেরে নিয়ে গেল, কিংবা বায়ু তাকে উড়িয়ে নিয়ে গিয়ে এক দূরবর্তী স্থানে নিক্ষেপ করল ।
এটাই আল্লাহর বিধান এবং কেউ আল্লাহ্‌র নিদর্শনাবলীকে সম্মান করলে এ তো তার হৃদয়ের সংযমশীলতারই বহিঃপ্রকাশ ।
এসব চতুষ্পদ জন্তুতে নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত তোমাদের জন্য কল্যাণ রয়েছে, তারপর এগুলোর কুরবানীর স্থান হবে প্রাচীন ঘরের নিকট ।
আর আমরা প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য কুরবানীর নিয়ম করে দিয়েছি ; যাতে তারা আল্লাহর নাম স্মরণ করতে পারে, যে সমস্ত জন্তু তিনি রিয্ক হিসেবে দিয়েছেন সেগুলির উপর । তোমাদের ইলাহ তো এক ইলাহ; অতএব তাঁরই কাছে আত্মসমর্পণ কর; আর অনুগতদেরকে সুসংবাদ দাও ।

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.
And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass .
That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.
Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.
That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
For you the animals marked for sacrifice are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.
And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]

Surah 22 | Al-Hajj | আল-হজ্জ | Verse: 77 -78

হে মুমিনগণ! তোমরা রুকূ’ কর, সিজদা কর এবং তোমাদের রব-এর ইবাদাত কর ও সৎকাজ কর, যাতে তোমরা সফলকাম হতে পার। [সাজদাহ] ۩
এবং সংগ্রাম কর আল্লাহর পথে যেভাবে সংগ্রাম করা উচিত; তিনি তোমাদেরকে মনোনীত করেছেন। তিনি দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে তোমাদের উপর কোন কঠিনতা আরোপ করেননি; তোমাদের পিতা ইব্রাহীমের মিল্লাত (ধর্মাদর্শ মেনে চল); তিনি পূর্বে তোমাদের নামকরণ করেছেন ‘মুসলিম’ এবং এই গ্রন্থেও; যাতে রসূল তোমাদের জন্য সাক্ষী স্বরূপ হয় এবং তোমরা সাক্ষী স্বরূপ হও মানব জাতির জন্য। সুতরাং তোমরা নামায কায়েম কর, যাকাত আদায় কর এবং আল্লাহকে অবলম্বন কর; তিনিই তোমাদের অভিভাবক, কত উত্তম অভিভাবক এবং কত উত্তম সাহায্যকারী তিনি!

O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed. [Sajdah] ۩
And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.

Surah 26 | Ash-Shu'ara | আশ-শুআ'রা | Verse: 69 - 104

আর [হে মুহাম্মাদ], আপনি তাদের কাছে ইবরাহীমের বৃত্তান্ত বৰ্ণনা করুন ।
যখন তিনি তার পিতা ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলেন, তোমরা কিসের ইবাদাত কর ?
তারা বলল , ‘আমরা মূর্তির পূজা করি এবং আমরা নিষ্ঠার সাথে ওদের পূজায় নিরত থাকি ।
তিনি বললেন , তোমরা যখন আহ্বান কর তখন তারা তোমাদের শোনে কি ?
অথবা তারা কি তোমাদের উপকার কিংবা অপকার করতে পারে ?
তারা বলল , না , তবে আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছি , তারা এরূপই করত ।
ইবরাহীম বললেন , তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ, তোমরা কিসের পূজা কর ।
তোমরা এবং তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী পিতৃপুরুষরা ?
তারা সবাই আমার শত্রু, বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা ছাড়া ।
যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তিনিই আমাকে হেদায়াত দিয়েছেন ।
আর তিনিই আমাকে খাওয়ান এবং তিনিই আমাকে পান করান ।
এবং রোগাক্রান্ত হলে তিনিই আমাকে রোগমুক্ত করেন ।
আর তিনিই আমার মৃত্যু ঘটাবেন, অতঃপর আমাকে পুনর্জীবিত করবেন ।
এবং আশা করি, তিনি কিয়ামতের দিন আমার অপরাধসমূহ মার্জনা করে দেবেন ।
হে আমার রাব্ব! আমাকে প্রজ্ঞা দান করুন এবং সৎ কর্মপরায়ণদের সাথে আমাকে মিলিত করুন ।
এবং পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে আমার সুনাম-সুখ্যাতি অব্যাহত রাখুন ,
এবং আমাকে নি‘য়ামাতপূর্ণ জান্নাতের উত্তরাধিকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করুন ,
আর আমার পিতাকে ক্ষমা করুন, তিনি তো পথভ্রষ্টদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন ।
এবং যেদিন পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে সেদিন আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করবেন না ।
যে দিন ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কোন কাজে আসবে না ;
সে দিন উপকৃত হবে শুধু সে , যে আল্লাহর কাছে আসবে বিশুদ্ধ অন্তঃকরণ নিয়ে ।
আর মুত্তাকীদের জন্য জান্নাত নিকটবর্তী করা হবে,
এবং পথভ্রষ্টদের জন্য উন্মোচিত করা হবে জাহান্নাম ,
তাদেরকে বলা হবে, তারা কোথায়, তোমরা যাদের ইবাদাত করতে
আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে ? তারা কি তোমাদের সাহায্য করতে পারে অথবা তারা কি আত্মরক্ষা করতে সক্ষম ?
অতঃপর তাদেরকে এবং পথভ্রষ্টকারীদেরকে অধোমুখী করে জাহান্নামে নিক্ষেপ করা হবে ,
এবং ইবলীসের বাহিনীর সকলকেও ৷
তারা সেখানে বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হয়ে বলবে ,
আল্লাহর শপথ! আমরা তো স্পষ্ট পথভ্রষ্টতায় নিমজ্জিত ছিলাম ,
যখন আমরা তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টিকুলের রব-এর সমকক্ষ গণ্য করতাম ।
আর অপরাধীরাই শুধু আমাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিল ;
অতএব আমাদের কোন সুপারিশকারী নেই ।
এবং কোন সহৃদয় বন্ধুও নেই ।
হায় ! যদি আমাদের একবার প্রত্যাবর্তনের সুযোগ ঘটত, তাহলে আমরা বিশ্বাসী হয়ে যেতাম !
এতে অবশ্যই এক নিদর্শন রয়েছে , কিন্তু ওদের অধিকাংশ বিশ্বাসী নয় ।
আর নিশ্চয় আপনার রব , তিনি তো মহাপরাক্রমশালী , পরম দয়ালু ।

And [O Muhammad], recite to them the news of Abraham,
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate ?
Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"
They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."
He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,
You and your ancient forefathers ?
Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,
Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.
And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me
And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life .
And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."
[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.
And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.
And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.
And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected
The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children
But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."
And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous.
And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators,
And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship
ther than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?"
So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators
And the soldiers of Iblees, all together.
They will say while they dispute therein,
By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error
When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.
And no one misguided us except the criminals.
So now we have no intercessors
And not a devoted friend.
Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Surah 29 | Al-Ankabut | আল-আনকাবূত | Verse: 16 - 27

আর স্মরণ করুন ইবরাহীমকে, যখন তিনি তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলেন , তোমরা আল্লাহর ইবাদাত কর এবং তার তাকওয়া অবলম্বন কর; তোমাদের জন্য এটাই উত্তম । যদি তোমরা জানতে !
তোমরা তো আল্লাহ ছাড়া শুধু মূর্তিপূজা করছ এবং মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করছ । তোমরা আল্লাহ ছাড়া যাদের ইবাদত কর তারা তো তোমাদের রিযিকের মালিক নয়। কাজেই তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছেই রিযিক চাও এবং তারই ইবাদাত কর । আর তাঁর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর । তোমরা তাঁরই কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে ।
আর যদি তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ কর তবে তো তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল । সুস্পষ্টভাবে (সত্যকে) প্রচার করা ছাড়া রাসূলের আর কোন দায়িত্ব নেই ।
তারা কি লক্ষ্য করে না , কিভাবে আল্লাহ্‌ সৃষ্টিকে অস্তিত্ব দান করেন ? তারপর তিনি তা আবার সৃষ্টি করবেন । নিশ্চয় এটা আল্লাহর জন্য সহজ ।
বলুন, [হে মুহাম্মাদ], তোমরা যমীনে ভ্রমণ কর এবং দেখ , কীভাবে তিনি সৃষ্টির সূচনা করেছিলেন, তারপর আল্লাহই আরেকবার সৃষ্টি করবেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান ।
তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছে শাস্তি দেন এবং যার প্রতি ইচ্ছে অনুগ্রহ করেন । আর তোমরা তারই কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে ।
আর তোমরা আল্লাহকে ব্যর্থ করতে পারবে না যমীনে , আর না আসমানে এবং আল্লাহ ছাড়া তোমাদের কোন অভিভাবক নেই , সাহায্যকারীও নেই ।
আর যারা আল্লাহর নিদর্শন ও তাঁর সাক্ষাত অস্বীকার করে, তারাই আমার অনুগ্রহ হতে নিরাশ হয়েছে । আর তাদের জন্যই রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি ।
উত্তরে ইবরাহীমের সম্প্রদায় শুধু এটাই বলল , ওকে হত্যা কর অথবা জ্বালিয়ে দাও । অতঃপর আল্লাহ আগুন থেকে তাকে রক্ষা করলেন ; নিশ্চয় এতে বহু নিদর্শন রয়েছে , এমন সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য যারা ঈমান আনে ।
ইবরাহীম আরও বললেন , তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে মূর্তিগুলিকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছ পার্থিব জীবনে তোমাদের পারস্পরিক বন্ধুত্বের খাতিরে ; কিন্তু কিয়ামাত দিবসে তোমরা একে অপরকে অস্বীকার করবে এবং পরস্পরকে অভিসম্পাত দিবে। তোমাদের আবাস হবে জাহান্নাম এবং তোমাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী থাকবে না ।
অতঃপর লুত তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলেন । আর ইবরাহীম বললেন , আমি আমার রবের উদ্দেশ্যে হিজরত করছি । নিশ্চয় তিনি পরাক্রমশালী , প্ৰজ্ঞাময় । [লূত (আঃ) ইবরাহীম (আঃ)-এর ভাইপো (ভাতিজা) ছিলেন। ]
আর আমরা ইবরাহীমকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুব এবং তাঁর বংশধরদের জন্য স্থির করলাম নবুওয়ত ও কিতাব । আর আমরা তাকে তার প্রতিদান দুনিয়ায় দিয়েছিলাম ; এবং আখিরাতেও তিনি নিশ্চয়ই সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্যতম হবেন ।

And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know.
You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."
And if you [people] deny [the message] - already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification.
Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent."
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned.
And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth or in the heaven. And you have not other than Allah any protector or any helper .
And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him - those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment.
And the answer of Abraham's people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers.
And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, "Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." [Lut (AS) was the nephew of Ibrahim (AS)]
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous.

Surah 37 | As-Saffat | আস-সাফফাত | Verse: 75 - 113

আর অবশ্যই নূহ আমাদেরকে ডেকেছিলেন , অতঃপর (দেখুন) আমরা কত উত্তম সাড়াদানকারী ।
তাকে এবং তার পরিবারবর্গকে আমরা উদ্ধার করেছিলাম মহাসংকট থেকে ।
আর তার বংশধরদেরকেই আমরা বিদ্যমান রেখেছি (বংশপরম্পরায়) ,
আর আমরা পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে তার জন্য সুখ্যাতি রেখেছি ।
সমগ্র বিশ্বের মধ্যে নূহের প্রতি শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক !
নিশ্চয় আমরা এভাবে সৎ কর্মশীলদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি ।
নিশ্চয় তিনি ছিলেন আমাদের মুমিন বান্দাদের অন্যতম ।
তারপর অন্য সকলকে আমরা নিমজিত করেছিলাম ।
আর নিশ্চয় ইব্রাহীম তার অনুসারীদের একজন ।
স্মরণ করুন , যখন তিনি তার রবের কাছে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন বিশুদ্ধচিত্তে ;
যখন তিনি তার পিতা ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলেন , তোমরা কিসের ইবাদাত করছ ?
তোমরা কি আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে অলীক উপাস্য চাও ?
বিশ্ব জগতের প্রতিপালক সম্পর্কে তোমরা কী ধারণা পোষণ কর ?
অতঃপর তিনি (ইব্রাহীম) তারকারাজির দিকে একবার তাকালেন ,
এবং বললেন , নিশ্চয় আমি অসুস্থ ।
অতঃপর তারা তাকে পিছনে রেখে চলে গেল ।
পরে তিনি চুপিচুপি তাদের দেবতাগুলোর কাছে গেলেন এবং বললেন , তোমরা খাদ্য গ্রহণ করছ না কেন ?
তোমাদের কী হয়েছে যে তোমরা কথা বলছ না ?
অতঃপর তিনি তাদের উপর সবলে আঘাত হানলেন ।
তখন ঐ লোকগুলো তার দিকে ছুটে আসল ।
তিনি বললেন , তোমরা নিজেরা যাদেরকে পাথর খোদাই করে নির্মাণ কর , সেগুলোরই আবার ইবাদাত কর ?
অথচ , আল্লাহই সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমরা যা তৈরী করা তাও ।
তারা বলল, এর জন্য এক অগ্নিকুন্ড তৈরী কর , অতঃপর একে জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিতে নিক্ষেপ কর ।
এভাবে তারা তার বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্তের সংকল্প করেছিল ; কিন্তু আমরা তাদেরকে সম্পূর্ণ পরাভূত করে দিলাম ।
তিনি (ইব্রাহীম) বললেন , আমি আমার রবের দিকে চললাম , তিনি আমাকে অবশ্যই হেদায়াত করবেন ,
হে আমার রব ! আমাকে এক সৎকর্মশীল পুত্র সন্তান দান করুন ।
অতঃপর আমরা তাকে এক ধৈর্যশীল পুত্রের সুসংবাদ দিলাম ।
অতঃপর তিনি যখন তার পিতার সাথে কাজ করার মত বয়সে উপনীত হলেন , তখন ইবরাহীম বললেন , হে প্রিয় বৎস ! আমি স্বপ্নে দেখি যে, তোমাকে আমি যবেহ করছি , এখন তোমার অভিমত কি বল? তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পিতা ! আপনি যা আদেশপ্ৰাপ্ত হয়েছেন তা-ই করুন । আল্লাহর ইচ্ছায় আপনি আমাকে ধৈর্যশীল পাবেন ।
অতঃপর যখন পিতা-পুত্র উভয়ে আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করলেন এবং ইবরাহীম তার পুত্রকে উপুড় করে শায়িত করলেন ,
তখন আমরা তাকে ডেকে বললাম , হে ইবরাহীম !
আপনি তো স্বপ্নের আদেশ সত্যই পালন করলেন ! এভাবেই আমরা সৎকর্মশীলদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি ।
নিশ্চয়ই এটা ছিল এক স্পষ্ট পরীক্ষা ।
আর আমরা তার পরিবর্তে যবেহযোগ্য এক মহান জন্তু (কুরবানী) দিয়ে তাকে মুক্ত করে নিলাম ।
আর আমরা তার জন্য এ বিষয়টি পরবর্তীদের জন্য স্মরণীয় করে রাখলাম ।
ইবরাহীমের উপর শান্তি বৰ্ষিত হোক ।
এভাবেই আমরা সৎকর্মপরায়ণদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি ।
নিশ্চয় তিনি ছিলেন আমাদের মুমিন বান্দাদের অন্যতম ;
আর আমরা তাকে সুসংবাদ দিয়েছিলাম ইসহাকের , তিনি ছিলেন এক নবী , সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্যতম ।
আর আমরা ইবরাহীমের ওপর বরকত দান করেছিলাম এবং ইসহাকের উপরও ; তাদের উভয়ের বংশধরদের মধ্যে কিছু সংখ্যক সৎকর্মপরায়ণ এবং কিছু সংখ্যক নিজেদের প্রতি স্পষ্ট অত্যাচারী ।

And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations .
"Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
Then We drowned the disbelievers.
And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,
When he came to his Lord with a sound heart
[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
And he cast a look at the stars
And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
So they turned away from him, departing.
Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
Then the people came toward him, hastening.
He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,
While Allah created you and that which you do?"
They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
We called to him, "O Abraham,
You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Indeed, this was the clear trial.
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
"Peace upon Abraham."
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.

Surah 38 | Ṣād | সোয়াদ | Verse: 45 - 47

আর স্মরণ করুন , আমাদের বান্দা ইবরাহীম , ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুবের কথা , তাঁরা ছিলেন শক্তিশালী ও সূক্ষ্মদর্শী
নিশ্চয় আমরা তাদেরকে অধিকারী করেছিলাম এক বিশেষ গুণের , তা ছিল পরকালের স্মরণ ।
আর নিশ্চয় তারা ছিলেন আমাদের নিকট মনোনীত উত্তম বান্দাদের অন্যতম ।

And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision.
Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter].
And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding.

Surah 43 | Az-Zukhruf | আয-যুখরুফ | Verse: 1 - 30

হা-মীম ।
শপথ সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের।
নিশ্চয় আমরা এটাকে (অবতীর্ণ) করেছি আরবী (ভাষায়) কুরআন , যাতে তোমরা বুঝতে পার ।
আর নিশ্চয় তা আমাদের কাছে উম্মুল কিতাবে (লাওহে মাহফুজে) সংরক্ষিত আছে , আর তা হল অতি উচ্চ মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন জ্ঞান-বিজ্ঞানে পূর্ণ ।
আমরা কি তোমাদের থেকে এ উপদেশবাণী (কুরআন) সম্পূর্ণরূপে প্রত্যাহার করে নেব এ কারণে যে, তোমরা সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী সম্প্রদায় ?
পূর্বেকার জাতিগুলোর মধ্যে আমরা বহু নবী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ,
আর যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন নবী এসেছে তারা তাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করেছে ।
ফলে আমরা ধ্বংস করেছি তাদেরকে যারা ছিল এদের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি শক্তিশালী । আর পূর্ববর্তীদের দৃষ্টান্ত অতীত হয়ে গেছে ।
আর আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন , কে আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছে ? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে , এগুলো তো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ (আল্লাহ) ।
যিনি তোমাদের জন্য যমীনকে করেছেন বিস্তৃত , আর তাতে তোমাদের জন্য বানিয়েছেন চলার পথ - যাতে তোমরা সঠিক পথ পেতে পার ।
আর যিনি আসমান থেকে পরিমিতভাবে পানি বর্ষণ করেন । অতঃপর আমি তা দ্বারা মৃত জনপদকে সঞ্জীবিত করি । এভাবেই তোমাদেরকে পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে ।
আর যিনি সকল প্রকারের জোড়া যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যিনি তোমাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন এমন নৌযান ও গৃহপালিত জন্তু যাতে তোমরা আরোহণ কর ;
যাতে তোমরা এর পিঠে স্থির হয়ে বসতে পার , তারপর তোমাদের রবের অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ করবে যখন তোমরা এর উপর স্থির হয়ে বসবে; এবং বলবে , পবিত্ৰ-মহান তিনি, যিনি এগুলোকে আমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছেন । আর আমরা সমর্থ ছিলাম না , এদেরকে বশীভূত করতে ।
আর নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের রবের কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী ।
আর তারা তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে তাঁর অংশ সাব্যস্ত করেছে । নিশ্চয়ই মানুষ স্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ ।
তিনি কি তাঁর সৃষ্টি হতে নিজে কন্যা-সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান ?
দয়াময় আল্লাহর প্রতি তারা যা আরোপ করে (কন্যা-সন্তান) তাদের কেহকে সেই সন্তানের সংবাদ দেয়া হলে তার মুখমণ্ডল কালো হয়ে যায় এবং সে দুঃসহ মর্ম যাতনায় ক্লিষ্ট হয় ।
তারা কি আল্লাহর প্রতি আরোপ করে এমন সন্তান, যে অলংকারে আবৃত হয়ে লালিত পালিত হয় এবং তর্ক-বিতর্ক কালে স্পষ্ট যুক্তি দানে অসমর্থ ?
আর তারা দয়াময় আল্লাহর বান্দা ফেরেশতাগণকে নারী গণ্য করেছে ; এদের সৃষ্টি কি তারা দেখেছিল ? তাদের উক্তি লিপিবদ্ধ করা হবে এবং তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে ।
তারা আরও বলে , দয়াময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আমরা এদের পূজা করতাম না । এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই ; তারা তো শুধু অনুমান-ভিত্তিক কথাই বলে ।
নাকি আমরা তাদেরকে কুরআনের আগে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি । অতঃপর তারা তা দৃঢ়ভাবে ধারণ করে আছে ?
বরং তারা বলে , নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এক মতাদর্শের উপর পেয়েছি এবং নিশ্চয় আমরা তাদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণে হেদায়াতপ্ৰাপ্ত হব ।
আর এভাবেই আপনার পূর্বে কোন জনপদে যখনই আমরা কোন সতর্ককারী পাঠিয়েছি তখনই তার বিত্তশালী লোকেরা বলেছে , নিশ্চয় আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এক মতাদর্শে পেয়েছি এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে থাকব ।
(প্রত্যেক সতর্ককারী) বলেছে , তোমরা তোমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে যে পথে পেয়েছ , আমি যদি তোমাদের জন্য তার চেয়ে উৎকৃষ্ট পথ-নির্দেশ আনয়ন করি তবুও কি তোমরা তাদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করবে ? তারা বলতঃ তোমরা যা সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ আমরা তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করি ।
ফলে আমরা তাদের উপর প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করলাম , সুতরাং দেখুন , মিথ্যারোপকারীদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছে !
আর স্মরণ করুন (হে মুহাম্মদ ), যখন ইবরাহীম তার পিতা এবং তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলেন , তোমরা যেগুলোর ইবাদত কর নিশ্চয় আমি তাদের থেকে সম্পর্কমুক্ত ।
তবে তিনি ব্যতীত যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন অতঃপর নিশ্চয় তিনি শীঘ্রই আমাকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করবেন ।
আর এ ঘোষণাকে তিনি চিরন্তন বাণীরূপে রেখে গিয়েছেন তার উত্তরসূরীদের মধ্যে , যাতে তারা ( আল্লাহর পথে) ফিরে আসে ।
বস্তুতঃ আমিই তাদেরকে এবং তাদের পূর্ব-পুরুষদেরকে সুযোগ দিয়েছিলাম ভোগের ; অবশেষে তাদের নিকট এলো সত্য ও স্পষ্ট প্রচারক রাসূল ।
আর যখন তাদের কাছে সত্য আসল, তখন তারা বলল, এ তো জাদু এবং নিশ্চয় আমরা তা (কুরআন) অস্বীকার করছি ।

Ha, Meem .
By the clear Book,
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.
Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people?
And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.
And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
[The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guided
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth -
And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount.
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful.
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons ?
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]?

And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
And they said , " If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them ." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying .
Or have We given them a book before the Qur'an to which they are adhering?
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
So we took retribution from them; then see how was the end of the deniers.
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship
Except for He who created me; and indeed, He will guide me."
And he made it a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].
However, I gave enjoyment to these [people of Makkah] and their fathers until there came to them the truth and a clear Messenger.
But when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are, concerning it ( Quran) , disbelievers."

Surah 51 | Adh-Dhariyat | আয-যারিয়াত | Verse: 24 -37

আপনার কাছে ইবরাহীমের সম্মানীত মেহমানদের বৃত্তান্ত এসেছে কি ?
যখন তারা তার কাছে উপস্থিত হয়ে বলল , সালাম । উত্তরে তিনি বললেন , ‘ সালাম ’। এরা তো অপরিচিত লোক ।
অতঃপর ইবরাহীম তার স্ত্রীর কাছে দ্রুত চুপিসারে গেলেন এবং একটি মোটা-তাজা গো-বাছুর ( ভাজা ) নিয়ে আসলেন ,
অতঃপর তিনি তা তাদের সামনে রেখে বললেন , তোমরা কি খাবে না ?
এতে তাদের সম্পর্কে তার মনে ভীতির সঞ্চার হল । তারা বলল, ভীত হবেন না । আর তারা তাকে এক জ্ঞানী পুত্ৰ সন্তানের সুসংবাদ দিল ।
তখন তার স্ত্রী বিস্ময়ে হতবাক হয়ে সামনে এল এবং মুখমন্ডল চাপড়িয়ে বলল , ‘ ( আমি তো ) বন্ধ্যা বৃদ্ধা , ( আমার সন্তান হবে কি করে? )’
তারা বলল , আপনার রব এরূপই বলেছেন ; নিশ্চয় তিনি প্রজ্ঞাময় , সর্বজ্ঞ ।
ইবরাহীম বললেন , হে প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ ! তোমাদের বিশেষ কাজ কি ?
তারা বলল , নিশ্চয় আমরা এক অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি ।
যেন তাদের উপর মাটির পাথর বর্ষণ করি
যা তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট চিহ্নিত হয়ে আছে সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদের জন্য ।
অতঃপর সেখানে যেসব মুমিন ছিল আমরা তাদেরকে বের করে নিয়ে আসলাম ।
তবে আমরা সেখানে একটি পরিবার ( লূতের ) ছাড়া আর কোন মুসলিম পাইনি ।
আর যারা মর্মম্ভদ শাস্তিকে ভয় করে আমরা তাদের জন্য ওখানে একটি নিদর্শন রেখেছি ।

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham ?
When they entered upon him and said , "[We greet you with] peace ." He answered , " [And upon you] peace , [you are] a people unknown .
Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf
And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"
And he felt from them apprehension . They said , " Fear not , " and gave him good tidings of a learned boy .
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said , "[I am] a barren old woman ! "
They said , "Thus has said your Lord ; indeed , He is the Wise , the Knowing ."
[Abraham] said , " Then what is your business [here] , O messengers ?"
They said , " Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
To send down upon them stones of clay ,
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors ."
So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers .
And We found not within them other than a [single] [ Lot ] house of Muslims .
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment .

Surah 57 | Al-Hadid | আল-হাদীদ | Verse: 26

আর আমি তো নূহ ও ইবরাহীমকে রাসূলরূপে পাঠিয়েছিলাম এবং তাদের বংশধরদের মধ্যে নবুওয়াত ও কিতাব দিয়েছিলাম। তারপর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ সঠিক পথ অবলম্বনকারী ছিল, আর তাদের অধিকাংশই ছিল পাপাচারী।
And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient

Surah 60 | Al-Mumtahina | আল-মুমতাহিনা | Verse: 4 - 6

অবশ্যই তোমাদের জন্য ইবরাহীম ও তার সাথে যারা ছিল তাদের মধ্যে রয়েছে উত্তম আদর্শ। যখন তারা তাদের সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিল, “তোমাদের সঙ্গে এবং তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যার ইবাদত কর তা হতে আমরা সম্পৰ্কমুক্ত। আমরা তোমাদেরকে অস্বীকার করি। তোমাদের ও আমাদের মধ্যে সৃষ্টি হল শক্ৰতা ও বিদ্বেষ চিরকালের জন্য; যতক্ষণ না তোমরা এক আল্লাহতে ঈমান আন। তবে ব্যতিক্রম তাঁর পিতার প্রতি ইবরাহীমের উক্তিঃ আমি অবশ্যই তোমার জন্য ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করব; আর তোমার ব্যাপারে আল্লাহর কাছে আমি কোন অধিকার রাখি না। ইবরাহীম ও তার অনুসারীগণ বলেছিল, হে আমাদের রব! আমরা আপনারই উপর নির্ভর করেছি, আপনারই অভিমুখী হয়েছি এবং ফিরে যাওয়া তো আপনারই কাছে। হে আমাদের রব! আপনি আমাদেরকে কাফিরদের ফিতনার পাত্র করবেন না। হে আমাদের রব! আপনি আমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন; নিশ্চয় আপনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়। তোমরা যারা আল্লাহ (’র রহমত) ও শেষ দিবসের (সাফল্যের) প্রত্যাশী তাদের জন্য উত্তম আদর্শ রয়েছে তাদের [অর্থাৎ ইবরাহীম (আঃ) তাঁর অনুসারীদের] মধ্যে। আর কেউ মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলে (সে জেনে রাখুক) আল্লাহ অমুখাপেক্ষী, প্রশংসিত।
There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
