যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |
যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper. | Surah 4 , An-Nisa , Verse: 85 |

আল্লাহর নামে, যিনি পরম করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু

Surah 11 | Hud | হুদ | Verse: 50 -60

আর আদ জাতির কাছে তাদের ভাই হুদকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম তিনি বলেছিলেন , হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! তোমরা আল্লাহর ইবাদাত কর । তিনি ছাড়া তোমাদের অন্য কোন সত্য ইলাহ নেই । তোমরা তো শুধু মিথ্যা রটনাকারী । হে আমার সম্প্রদায় আমি এর পরিবর্তে তোমাদের কাছে পরিশ্রমিক চাই না । আমার পারিশ্রমিক আছে তাঁরই কাছে যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন । এরপরও কি তোমরা বুঝবে না ? হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! তোমরা তোমাদের রবের কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থন কর , তারপর তার দিকেই ফিরে আস । তিনি তোমাদের উপর প্রচুর বৃষ্টি বর্ষাবেন । আর তিনি তোমাদেরকে আরো শক্তি দিয়ে তোমাদের শক্তি বৃদ্ধি করবেন এবং তোমরা অপরাধী হয়ে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিও না । তারা বলল , হে হুদ ! তুমি আমাদের কাছে কোন স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসনি , তোমার কথায় আমরা আমাদের উপাস্যদেরকে পরিত্যাগকারী নই এবং আমরা তোমার প্রতি বিশ্বাসীও নই । আমরা তো এটাই বলি, আমাদের উপাস্যদের মধ্যে কেউ তোমাকে অশুভ দ্বারা আবিষ্ট করেছে । তিনি বললেন , নিশ্চয় আমি আল্লাহকে সাক্ষী করছি এবং তোমরাও সাক্ষী হও যে , নিশ্চয় আমি তা থেকে মুক্ত যাকে তোমরা শরীক কর । আল্লাহ ছাড়া। সুতরাং তোমরা সবাই আমার বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র কর ; তারপর আমাকে অবকাশ দিও না । আমি নির্ভর করি আল্লাহর উপর যিনি আমার আর তোমাদের রব , এমন কোন জীব নেই যার কতৃত্ব তাঁর হাতে নয় , নিশ্চয়ই আমার রব সরল পথের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত । এরপরও যদি তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে লও ( তবে জেনে রেখ ) , আমাকে যা দিয়ে তোমাদের কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে আমি তো তোমাদের কাছে তা পৌঁছে দিয়েছি , এখন আমার প্রতিপালক তোমাদের স্থলে অন্য সম্প্রদায়কে নিয়ে আসবেন আর তোমরা তাঁর কোনই ক্ষতি করতে পারবে না । আমার প্রতিপালক সব কিছুর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণকারী । আর যখন আমাদের নির্দেশ আসল তখন আমরা হুদ ও তার সঙ্গে যারা ঈমান এনেছিল তাদেরকে আমাদের অনুগ্রহে রক্ষা করলাম এবং রক্ষা করলাম তাদেরকে কঠিন শাস্তি হতে । আর এই আ’দ সম্প্রদায় নিজেদের প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শনগুলিকে অস্বীকার করল এবং তাঁর রসূলদেরকে অমান্য করল , পক্ষান্তরে তারা প্রত্যেক প্রবল প্রতাপশালী হঠকারীর নির্দেশ অনুসরণ করল । আর এই দুনিয়াতে অভিসম্পাত তাদের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে রইল এবং কিয়ামতের দিনও । জেনে রেখো ! আ’দ ( সম্প্রদায় ) নিজ প্রতিপালককে অমান্য করল। আরো জেনে রেখো, দূর হয়ে গেল আদ ( আল্লাহর করুণা হতে ); যারা হূদের সম্প্রদায় ছিল ।
And to 'Aad [We sent] their brother Hud . He said , " O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him . You are not but inventors [of falsehood] . O my people , I do not ask you for it any reward . My reward is only from the one who created me . Then will you not reason ? And O my people , ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him . He will send [ rain from ] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength . And do not turn away , [being] criminals ." They said, " O Hud , you have not brought us clear evidence , and we are not ones to leave our gods on your say - so . Nor are we believers in you . We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil ." He said , " Indeed , I call Allah to witness , and witness [ yourselves ] that I am free from whatever you associate with Allah . Other than Him. So plot against me all together; then do not give me respite . Indeed , I have relied upon Allah , my Lord and your Lord . There is no creature but that He holds its forelock . Indeed , my Lord is on a path [that is] straight ." But if they turn away , [ say ] , " I have already conveyed that with which I was sent to you . My Lord will give succession to a people other than you , and you will not harm Him at all . Indeed my Lord is , over all things, Guardian ." And when Our command came , We saved Hud and those who believed with him , by mercy from Us ; and We saved them from a harsh punishment . And that was ' Aad , who rejected the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His messengers and followed the order of every obstinate tyrant . And they were [ therefore ] followed in this world with a curse and [ as well ] on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably , ' Aad denied their Lord ; then away with ' Aad , the people of Hud .

Surah 26 | Ash-Shu'ara | আশ-শুআ'রা | Verse: 123 - 140

আদ সম্প্রদায় রাসূলদের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল ।
যখন তাদের ভাই হূদ তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমরা কি (আল্লাহকে) ভয় করবে না ?
আমি তো তোমাদের জন্য এক বিশ্বস্ত রাসূল ।
অতএব তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আনুগত্য কর ।
আর আমি তোমাদের কাছে এর জন্য কোন প্রতিদান চাই না , আমার পুরস্কার তো সৃষ্টিকুলের রব-এর কাছেই ।
তোমরা কি প্রতিটি উচ্চস্থানে অনর্থক স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ নির্মাণ করছ ?
তোমরা প্রাসাদ নির্মাণ করছ এ মনে করে যে, তোমরা (পৃথিবীতে) চিরস্থায়ী হবে ।
আর যখন তোমরা আঘাত হান (দুর্বল শ্রেণীর লোকদের উপর) তখন নিষ্ঠুরভাবে আঘাত হেনে থাক ।
সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমাকে অনুসরণ কর ।
আর ভয় কর তাঁকে , যিনি তোমাদেরকে সাহায্য করেছেন সে সকল সম্পদ দিয়ে, যা তোমরা জান ।
যিনি তোমাদেরকে দান করেছেন পশু-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্তুতি ।
এবং উদ্যান ও প্রস্রবণ ;
নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাদের উপর এক মহাদিবসের আযাবের আশংকা করছি ।
তারা বলল, তুমি উপদেশ দাও বা না-ই দাও, উভয়ই আমাদের জন্য সমান ।
এসব (কথাবার্তা বলা) পূর্ববর্তী লোকেদের অভ্যাস ছাড়া আর অন্য কিছুই না ।
আমরা মোটেই শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত হবো না ।
সুতরাং তারা তার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করল ফলে আমরা তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করলাম । এতে তো অবশ্যই আছে নিদর্শন ; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই মুমিন নয় ।
আর নিশ্চয়ই আপনার রব, তিনি তো পরাক্রমশালী, পরম দয়ালু ।

Aad denied the messengers
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah ?
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
So fear Allah and obey me.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves,
And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally ?
And when you strike, you strike as tyrants.
So fear Allah and obey me.
And fear He who provided you with that which you know,
Provided you with grazing livestock and children.
And gardens and springs.
Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors.
This is not but the custom of the former peoples,
And we are not to be punished.
And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Surah 46 | Al-Ahqaf | আল-আহকাফ | Verse: 21 - 28

আর স্মরণ করুন , (হে মুহাম্মদ), আদ সম্প্রদায়ের ভাইয়ের [ (হূদ (আঃ) ]কথা , যখন সে তার সম্প্রদায় আহক্বাফবাসীকে সতর্ক করেছিল এই বলে যে, আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য কারো উপাসনা করো না । আমি তোমাদের জন্য মহাদিনের শাস্তির আশংকা করছি ।
তারা বলল, তুমি কি আমাদেরকে আমাদের উপাস্যদের থেকে নিবৃত্ত করতে আমাদের নিকট এসেছ ? তুমি যদি সত্যবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হও , তাহলে আমাদেরকে যার ভয় দেখাচ্ছ , তা আনয়ন কর ।
তিনি বললেন , এ জ্ঞান তো শুধু আল্লাহরই কাছে । আর আমি যা নিয়ে প্রেরিত হয়েছি শুধু তা-ই তোমাদের কাছে প্রচার করি , কিন্তু আমি দেখছি তোমরা এক মুর্খ সম্প্রদায় ।
অতঃপর যখন তারা তাদের উপত্যকার দিকে মেঘ আসতে দেখল । তখন বলতে লাগল , এ তো মেঘ আমাদেরকে বৃষ্টি দান করবে । না , বরং এটাই তো তা , যা তোমরা ত্বরান্বিত করতে চেয়েছ , এক ঝড় , এতে রয়েছে । যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি ।
যা তার প্রতিপালকের নির্দেশে সবকিছুকে ধ্বংস করে দেবে । অতঃপর তাদের পরিণাম এই হল যে , তাদের বাসগৃহগুলো ছাড়া আর কিছুই দৃশ্যমান রইল না । এভাবে আমরা অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়কে প্রতিফল দিয়ে থাকি ।
আর অবশ্যই আমরা তাদেরকে (আ’দ সম্প্রদায়কে) যতটা সুদৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছিলাম , তোমাদেরকে (হে কুরায়শ!) তেমন সুদৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করিনি ; আর আমরা তাদেরকে দিয়েছিলাম কান, চোখ ও হৃদয় ; অতঃপর তাদের কান , চোখ ও হৃদয় তাদের কোন কাজে আসেনি ; যখন তারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করেছিল । আর যা নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত , তা-ই তাদেরকে পরিবেষ্টন করল ।
আর অবশ্যই আমরা ধ্বংস করেছিলাম তোমাদের চারপাশের জনপদসমূহ [ চারপাশের জনপদসমূহ বলতে আ’দ, সামুদ এবং লূতের বসতিগুলোকে বুঝানো হয়েছে ] ; এবং আমরা বিভিন্নভাবে আয়াতসমূহ বিবৃত করেছিলাম, যাতে তারা (সৎপথে) ফিরে আসে ।
অতঃপর তারা আল্লাহর সান্নিধ্য লাভের জন্য আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদেরকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছিল , তারা তাদেরকে সাহায্য করল না কেন ? বস্তুতঃ তাদের উপাস্যগুলো তাদের নিকট হতে উধাও হয়ে গেল। আর এ হল তাদের মিথ্যা ও অলীক উদ্ভাবনের পরিণাম ।

And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful."
He said, "Knowledge [of its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent; but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly."
And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,
Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.
And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief].
Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing.

Surah 54 | Al-Qamar | আল-কামার | Verse: 18 - 21

‘ আদ জাতি সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল , ফলে কত ভয়ংকর ছিল আমার ‘ আযাব ও ভীতি প্রদর্শন । নিশ্চয় আমরা তাদের উপর পাঠিয়েছিলাম এক প্রচণ্ড শীতল ঝড়োহাওয়া নিরবচ্ছিন্ন অমঙ্গল দিনে , তা মানুষকে উৎখাত করেছিল । যেন তারা উৎপাটিত খেজুরগাছের কান্ড । অতএব কী কঠোর ছিল আমার শাস্তি ও ভীতিপ্রদর্শন !
'Aad denied ; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning . Indeed , We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune , Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted . And how [severe] were My punishment and warning .
