  • যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |

  • যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. আল্লাহর নামে, যিনি পরম করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু

Surah 18 | Al-Kahf | আল-কাহফ | Verse: 9 - 30

  • আপনি কি মনে করেন যে, কাহফ ও রাকীমের অধিবাসীরা আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে বিস্ময়কর?
  • যখন যুবকরা গুহায় আশ্রয় নিল তখন তারা বলেছিল, হে আমাদের রব! আপনি নিজ থেকে আমাদেরকে অনুগ্রহ দান করুন এবং আমাদের জন্য আমাদের কাজকর্ম সঠিকভাবে পরিচালনার ব্যবস্থা করুন।
  • অতঃপর আমরা তাদেরকে গুহায় কয়েক বছর ঘুমন্ত অবস্থায় রেখে দিলাম।
  • পরে আমরা তাদেরকে জাগিয়ে দিলাম জানার জন্য যে, দু'দলের মধ্যে কোনটি তাদের অবস্থিতিকাল সঠিকভাবে নির্ণয় করতে পারে।
  • আমরা আপনার কাছে তাদের বৃত্তান্ত সঠিকভাবে বর্ণনা করছি; তারা তো ছিল কয়েকজন যুবক, তারা তাদের রব-এর উপর ঈমান এনেছিল। এবং আমরা তাদের হিদায়াত (ঈমানী চেতনাকে) বৃদ্ধি করে দিয়েছিলাম।
  • আর আমরা তাদের চিত্ত দৃঢ় করে দিলাম; তারা যখন উঠে দাঁড়াল তখন বলল, আমাদের রব। আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের রব। আমরা কখনই তাঁর পরিবর্তে অন্য ইলাহকে ডাকব না; যদি ডাকি, তবে তা হবে খুবই গৰ্হিত।
  • আমাদেরই এই স্বজাতিরা তাঁর পরিবর্তে অনেক উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে। তারা এসব উপাস্য সম্বন্ধে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করে না কেন? যে আল্লাহ সম্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে তার চেয়ে অধিক সীমালংঘনকারী আর কে?
  • [ যুবকেরা একে অপরকে বলল ], তোমরা যখন বিচ্ছিন্ন হলে তাদের থেকে ও তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের ইবাদত করে তাদের থেকে, তখন তোমরা গুহায় আশ্রয় গ্ৰহণ কর। তোমাদের রব তোমাদের জন্য তার রহমত বিস্তার করবেন এবং তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের জীবনোপকরণের বিষয়টি সহজ করে দিবেন ।
  • আর আপনি দেখতে পেতেন- সূৰ্য উদয়ের সময় তাদের গুহার ডান দিকে হেলে অতিক্রম করছে এবং অস্তকালে তাদেরকে অতিক্রম করছে বাম পাশ দিয়ে, অথচ তারা গুহার প্রশস্ত চত্বরে অবস্থান করছে । এ সবই আল্লাহর নিদর্শনসমূহের মধ্যে অন্যতম। আল্লাহ যাকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করেন, সে সৎপথপ্ৰাপ্ত এবং তিনি যাকে পথভ্ৰষ্ট করেন, আপনি কখনো তার জন্য কোন পথনির্দেশকারী অভিভাবক পাবেন না।
  • আর আপনি মনে করতেন তারা জেগে আছে, অথচ তারা ছিল ঘুমন্ত। আর আমরা তাদেরকে পাশ ফিরাতাম ডান দিকে ও বাম দিকে এবং তাদের কুকুর ছিল সামনের পা দুটি গুহার দরজায় প্রসারিত করে। যদি আপনি তাদের প্রতি তাকিয়ে দেখতেন, তবে অবশ্যই আপনি পিছন ফিরে পালিয়ে যেতেন। আর অবশ্যই আপনি তাদের ভয়ে আতংকগ্ৰস্ত হয়ে পড়তেন;
  • আর এভাবেই আমরা তাদেরকে জাগিয়ে দিলাম যাতে তারা পরস্পরের মধ্যে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে। তাদের একজন বলল, তোমরা কত সময় অবস্থান করেছ? কেউ কেউ বলল, আমরা অবস্থান করেছি এক দিন বা এক দিনের কিছু অংশ। অপর কেউ বলল, তোমরা কত সময় অবস্থান করেছ তা তোমাদের রবই ভাল জানেন। সুতরাং তোমরা তোমাদের একজনকে তোমাদের এ মুদ্রাসহ বাজারে পাঠাও। সে যেন দেখে কোন খাদ্য উত্তম তারপর তা থেকে যেন কিছু খাদ্য নিয়ে আসে তোমাদের জন্য। আর সে যেন বিচক্ষণতার সাথে কাজ করে। আর কিছুতেই যেন তোমাদের সম্বন্ধে কাউকেও কিছু জানতে না দেয়।
  • তারা যদি তোমাদের বিষয় জানতে পারে তবে তো তারা তোমাদেরকে পাথরের আঘাতে হত্যা করবে অথবা তোমাদেরকে তাদের ধর্মে ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে। আর সে ক্ষেত্রে তোমরা কখনো সফল হবে না।
  • আর এভাবে আমরা মানুষদেরকে তাদের বিষয় জানিয়ে দিলাম যাতে তারা জানে যে, আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য এবং কিয়ামতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই । যখন তারা (অর্থাৎ নগরবাসীরা) নিজেদের কর্তব্য সম্পর্কে নিজেদের মধ্যে বাদানুবাদ করছিল, (কতক) বলল, ‘তাদের উপর সৌধ নির্মাণ কর।’ তাদের প্রতিপালক তাদের সম্পর্কে ভাল জানেন। তাদের কর্তব্যকর্ম সম্পর্কে যাদের মতামত প্রাধান্য লাভ করল তারা বলল, ‘আমরা তাদের উপর অবশ্য অবশ্যই মাসজিদ নির্মাণ করব।’
  • কেউ কেউ বলবে, তারা ছিল তিনজন তাদের চতুর্থটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর এবং কেউ কেউ বলবে, তারা ছিল পাঁচজন, তাদের ষষ্ঠটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর, গায়েবী বিষয়ে অনুমানের উপর নির্ভর করে। আবার কেউ কেউ বলবে, তারা ছিল সাতজন, তাদের অষ্টমটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। বলুন, আমার রবই তাদের সংখ্যা ভাল জানেন; তাদের সংখ্যা কম সংখ্যক লোকই জানে।(১) সুতরাং সাধারণ আলোচনা ছাড়া আপনি তাদের বিষয়ে বিতর্ক করবেন না এবং তাদের সম্পর্কে কারো কাছে কিছু জিজ্ঞেসও করবেন না ।
  • আর কখনই আপনি কোন বিষয়ে বলবেন না, আমি তা আগামীকাল করব,
  • ইনশাআল্লাহ (আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে) এই কথা না বলে; আর যদি ভুলে যান তবে আপনার রবকে স্মরণ করবেন এবং বলবেন, সম্ভবত আমার রব আমাকে এটার চেয়ে সত্যের কাছাকাছি পথ নির্দেশ করবেন ।
  • আর তারা তাদের গুহায় ছিল তিনশ বছর, আরো নয় বছর বেশী।
  • আপনি বলুন, তারা কত কাল অবস্থান করেছিল তা আল্লাহই ভাল জানেন, আসমান ও যমীনের গায়েবের জ্ঞান তাঁরই। তিনি কত সুন্দর দ্রষ্টা ও শ্ৰোতা! তিনি ছাড়া তাদের অন্য কোন অভিভাবক নেই। তিনি কাউকেও নিজ কর্তৃত্বে শরীক করেন না।
  • আর, [হে মুহাম্মদ], আপনি আপনার প্রতি ওহী করা আপনার রব-এর কিতাব থেকে পড়ে শুনান। তাঁর বাক্যসমূহের কোন পরিবর্তনকারী নেই। আর আপনি কখনই তাকে ছাড়া অন্য কোন আশ্রয় পাবেন না।
  • আর আপনি নিজকে ধৈর্যের সাথে রাখবেন তাদেরই সংসর্গে রাখবেন, যারা সকাল ও সন্ধ্যায় ডাকে তাদের রবকে তার সন্তুষ্টি লাভের উদ্দেশ্যে এবং আপনি পার্থিব জীবনের শোভা কামনা করে তাদের থেকে আপনার দৃষ্টি ফিরিয়ে নেবেন না। আর আপনি তার আনুগত্য করবেন না—যার চিত্তকে আমরা আমাদের স্মরণে অমনোযোগী করে দিয়েছি, যে তার খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করেছে ও যার কর্ম বিনষ্ট হয়েছে ।
  • আর বলুন, সত্য তোমাদের রব-এর কাছ থেকে; কাজেই যার ইচ্ছে ঈমান আনুক আর যার ইচ্ছে কুফরী করুক। নিশ্চয় আমরা যালেমদের জন্য প্রস্তুত রেখেছি আগুন, যার বেষ্টনী তাদেরকে পরিবেষ্টন করে রেখেছে। তারা পানীয় চাইলে তাদেরকে দেয়া হবে গলিত ধাতুর ন্যায় পানীয়, যা তাদের মুখমণ্ডল দগ্ধ করবে; এটা নিকৃষ্ট পানীয়! আর জাহান্নাম কত নিকৃষ্ট বিশ্রামস্থল!
  • নিশ্চয় যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং সৎকাজ করেছে – আমরা তো তার শ্ৰমফল নষ্ট করি না- যে উত্তমরূপে কাজ সম্পাদন করেছে।
  • Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?
  • [Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."
  • So We cast [a cover of sleep] over their ears within the cave for a number of years.
  • Then We awakened them that We might show which of the two factions was most precise in calculating what [extent] they had remained in time.
  • And We made firm their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression.
  • These, our people, have taken besides Him deities. Why do they not bring for [worship of] them a clear authority? And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie?"
  • [The youths said to one another], "And when you have withdrawn from them and that which they worship other than Allah, retreat to the cave. Your Lord will spread out for you of His mercy and will prepare for you from your affair facility."
  • [The youths said to one another], "And when you have withdrawn from them and that which they worship other than Allah, retreat to the cave. Your Lord will spread out for you of His mercy and will prepare for you from your affair facility."
  • And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah. He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray - never will you find for him a protecting guide.
  • And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror.
  • And similarly, We awakened them that they might question one another. Said a speaker from among them, "How long have you remained [here]?" They said, "We have remained a day or part of a day." They said, "Your Lord is most knowing of how long you remained. So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the city and let him look to which is the best of food and bring you provision from it and let him be cautious. And let no one be aware of you.
  • Indeed, if they come to know of you, they will stone you or return you to their religion. And never would you succeed, then - ever."
  • And similarly, We caused them to be found that they [who found them] would know that the promise of Allah is truth and that of the Hour there is no doubt. [That was] when they disputed among themselves about their affair and [then] said, "Construct over them a structure. Their Lord is most knowing about them." Said those who prevailed in the matter, "We will surely take [for ourselves] over them a masjid."
  • They will say there were three, the fourth of them being their dog; and they will say there were five, the sixth of them being their dog - guessing at the unseen; and they will say there were seven, and the eighth of them was their dog. Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord is most knowing of their number. None knows them except a few. So do not argue about them except with an obvious argument and do not inquire about them among [the speculators] from anyone."
  • And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,"
  • Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct."
  • And they remained in their cave for three hundred years and exceeded by nine.
  • Say, "Allah is most knowing of how long they remained. He has [knowledge of] the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. How Seeing is He and how Hearing! They have not besides Him any protector, and He shares not His legislation with anyone."
  • And recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge.
  • And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.
  • And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.
  • Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds
