  • যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |

  • যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper. | Surah 4 , An-Nisa , Verse: 85 |

Surah 15 | Al-Hijr | আল-হিজর | Verse: 19 - 23

  • পৃথিবীকে আমি বিস্তৃত করেছি এবং ওতে পর্বতমালা স্থাপন করেছি; আমি ওতে প্রত্যেক বস্তু উৎপন্ন করেছি সুপরিমিতভাবে। আর আমি ওতে জীবিকার ব্যবস্থা করেছি তোমাদের জন্য, আর তোমরা যাদের জীবিকাদাতা নও তাদের জন্যও। আর প্রতিটি বস্তুরই ভান্ডারসমূহ রয়েছে আমার কাছে এবং আমি তা অবতীর্ণ করি কেবল নির্দিষ্ট পরিমাণে। আমি বৃষ্টিগর্ভ বায়ু প্রেরণ করি অতঃপর আকাশ হতে বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করি এবং তা তোমাদেরকে পান করাই এবং ওর ভান্ডার তোমাদের কাছে নেই। নিশ্চয় আমিই জীবন দান করি ও মৃত্যু ঘটাই এবং আমিই চূড়ান্ত মালিকানার অধিকারী ।

  • And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing. And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor.

Surah 21 | Al-Anbiya | আল-আম্বিয়া | Verse: 78 - 82

  • আর স্মরণ করুন দাউদ ও সুলায়মানকে, যখন তাঁরা বিচার করছিলেন শস্যক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে; তাতে রাতে প্ৰবেশ করেছিল কোন সম্প্রদায়ের মেষ; আর আমরা তাদের বিচার পর্যবেক্ষণ করছিলাম।
  • অতঃপর আমরা সুলায়মানকে এ বিষয়ের মীমাংসা বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম এবং তাদের প্রত্যেককে আমরা দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান। আর আমরা পর্বত ও পাখিদেরকে দাউদের অনুগত করে দিয়েছিলাম, তারা তার সাথে পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করত , আর আমরাই ছিলাম এ সবের কর্তা।
  • আর আমরা তাকে [ দাঊদ (আঃ)] তোমাদের জন্য বর্ম নির্মাণ শিক্ষা দিয়েছিলাম , যাতে তা তোমাদের যুদ্ধে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করে; সুতরাং তোমরা কি কৃতজ্ঞ হবেনা?
  • আর আমরা সুলায়মানের জন্য অনুগত করে দিয়েছিলাম প্রবল হাওয়াকে, যা তার নির্দেশে প্রবাহিত হত সেই দেশের দিকে, যেখানে আমরা প্রভূত কল্যাণ রেখেছি । আর আমরা প্রত্যেক বিষয় সম্পর্কেই অবগত ছিলাম।
  • আর শয়তানদের মধ্যে কতক তার জন্য ডুবুরীর কাজ করত, এটা ছাড়া অন্য কাজও করত; আর আমরা তাদের দিকে সতর্ক দৃষ্টি রাখতাম ।
  • And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
  • And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that].
  • And We taught him [ David ] the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful?
  • And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing.
  • And of the devils were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian.

Surah 25 | Al-Furqan | আল-ফুরকান | Verse: 48 - 50

  • আর তিনিই তাঁর রহমতের বৃষ্টির আগে সুসংবাদবাহীরূপে বায়ু প্রেরণ করেন এবং আকাশ হতে পবিত্র পানি বর্ষণ করেন ।
  • যদ্বারা আমরা মৃত ভূ-খন্ডকে সঞ্জীবিত করি এবং আমার সৃষ্টির মধ্যের বহু জীব জন্তু ও মানুষকে তা পান করাই ।
  • আর আমরা তা তাদের মধ্যে বিতরণ করি যাতে তারা স্মরণ করে। অতঃপর অধিকাংশ লোক শুধু অকৃতজ্ঞতাই প্রকাশ করে ।
  • And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water .
  • That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men .
  • And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

Surah 30 | Ar-Rum | আর-রুম | Verse: 46 - 53

  • আর তাঁর নিদর্শনসমূহের মধ্যে একটি এই যে , তিনি বায়ু পাঠান [বৃষ্টির] সুসংবাদ দেয়ার জন্য এবং তোমাদেরকে তাঁর কিছু রহমত আস্বাদন করাবার জন্য ; আর যাতে তার নির্দেশে নৌযানগুলো বিচরণ করে এবং যাতে তোমরা তার অনুগ্রহের কিছু সন্ধান করতে পার , আর যেন তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞ হও ।
  • আর আমরা তো আপনার আগে রাসূলগণকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম তাদের নিজ নিজ সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে। অতঃপর তাঁরা তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি নিয়ে এসেছিলেন ; অতঃপর আমরা অপরাধীদের থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছিলাম । আর আমাদের দায়িত্ব তো মুমিনদের সাহায্য করা ।
  • আল্লাহ , যিনি বায়ু প্রেরণ করেন, ফলে তা (বায়ু) মেঘমালাকে সঞ্চালিত করে ; অতঃপর তিনি একে যেমন ইচ্ছা আকাশে ছড়িয়ে দেন , পরে একে খন্ড-বিখন্ড করেন এবং তুমি দেখতে পাও , তা থেকে বারিধারা নির্গত হয় । অতঃপর তিনি তাঁর বান্দাহদের মধ্যে যাদের নিকট তিনি ইচ্ছে করেন তাদের কাছে যখন তা পৌঁছে দেন তখন তারা হয় আনন্দিত ।
  • সুতরাং আপনি আল্লাহর করুণার চি‎হ্নসমূহের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করুন , কিভাবে তিনি যমীনের মৃত্যুর পর তা জীবিত করেন। নিশ্চয় এভাবেই তিনি মৃতকে জীবিত করেন এবং তিনি সব কিছুর উপর সর্বশক্তিমান । [করুণার চিহ্ন’ বলতে ঐ সকল ফল-ফসলকে বুঝানো হয়েছে, যা বৃষ্টির পানিতে উৎপন্ন হয় এবং মানুষের সুখ ও স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের কারণ হয়। ]
  • আর যদি আমরা এমন বায়ু করি , যার ফলে ওরা দেখে শস্য পীতবর্ণ ধারণ করেছে , তাহলে তখন তো ওরা অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে পড়ে ।
  • সুতরাং আপনি মৃতকে শুনাতে পারবেন না , বধিরকেও পারবেন না আহবান শোনাতে, যখন তারা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে চলে যায় ।
  • আর আপনি অন্ধদেরকেও পথে আনতে পারবেন না তাদের পথভ্ৰষ্টতা থেকে । যারা আমাদের আয়াতসমূহে ঈমান রাখে শুধু তাদেরকেই আপনি শুনাতে পারবেন ; কারণ তারা আত্মসমর্পণকারী ।
  • And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful .
  • And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers.
  • It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice
  • So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.
  • But if We should send a [bad] wind and they saw [their crops] turned yellow, they would remain thereafter disbelievers.
  • So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating.
  • And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allah].

Surah 34 | Saba | সাবা | Verse: 10 - 14

  • আর অবশ্যই আমরা আমাদের পক্ষ থেকে দাউদকে দিয়েছিলাম মর্যাদা এবং আদেশ করেছিলাম , হে পর্বতমালা ! তোমরা দাউদের সাথে বার বার আমার পবিত্ৰতা ঘোষণা কর এবং পাখিদেরকেও । আর তার জন্য আমরা নরম করে দিয়েছিলাম লোহা ।
  • (এ নির্দেশ দিয়ে যে) আপনি পূর্ণ মাপের বর্ম তৈরী করুন এবং ওগুলির কড়াসমূহ যথাযথভাবে সংযুক্ত করুন । আর তোমরা সৎকাজ কর, নিশ্চয় তোমরা যা কিছু কর আমি তার সম্যক দ্রষ্টা ।
  • আর সুলাইমানের জন্য আমরা বাতাসকে অনুগত করে দিয়েছিলাম , যা ভোরে একমাসের পথ অতিক্রম করত ও সন্ধ্যায় একমাসের পথ অতিক্রম করত । আমরা তার জন্য গলিত তামার এক প্রস্রবণ প্রবাহিত করেছিলাম এবং তার রবের অনুমতিক্রমে জিনদের কিছু সংখ্যক তার সামনে কাজ করত । আর তাদের মধ্যে যে আমাদের নির্দেশ অমান্য করে , তাকে আমরা জ্বলন্ত আগুনের শান্তি আস্বাদন করাব ।
  • তারা সুলাইমানের ইচ্ছানুযায়ী তার জন্য প্রাসাদ , ভাস্কর্য, হাউজসদৃশ বৃহদাকার পাত্র এবং সুদৃঢ়ভাবে স্থাপিত ডেগ নির্মাণ করত । হে দাউদ পরিবার ! কৃতজ্ঞতার সাথে তোমরা কাজ করতে থাক। আর আমার বান্দাদের মধ্যে অল্পই কৃতজ্ঞ !
  • অতঃপর যখন আমরা সুলাইমানের মৃত্যু ঘটালাম , তখন জিনদেরকে তার মৃত্যুর খবর জানাল শুধু মাটির পোকা , যা তার লাঠি খাচ্ছিল । অতঃপর যখন তিনি পড়ে গেলেন তখন জিনরা বুঝতে পারল যে, যদি তারা গায়েব জানত , তাহলে তারা লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তিতে আবদ্ধ থাকত না ।
  • And We certainly gave David from Us bounty. [We said], "O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well]." And We made pliable for him iron,
  • [Commanding him], "Make full coats of mail and calculate [precisely] the links, and work [all of you] righteousness. Indeed I, of what you do, am Seeing."
  • And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid] copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our command - We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze.
  • They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. [We said], "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful.
  • And when We decreed for Solomon death, nothing indicated to the jinn his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment.

Surah 35 | Fatir | ফাতির | Verse: 9

  • আল্লাহই বায়ু প্রেরণ করে তার দ্বারা মেঘমালা সঞ্চালিত করেন । অতঃপর তিনি তা নির্জীব ভূখন্ডের দিকে পরিচালিত করেন , অতঃপর তিনি তা দিয়ে পৃথিবীকে ওর মৃত্যুর পর সঞ্জীবিত করেন। পুনরুত্থান এরূপেই হবে ।
  • And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.

Surah 38 | Ṣād | সোয়াদ | Verse: 17 - 40

  • তারা যা বলে তাতে আপনি ধৈর্য ধারণ করুন এবং স্মরণ করুন আমাদের শক্তিশালী বান্দা দাউদের কথা ; তিনি ছিলেন খুব বেশী আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
  • নিশ্চয় আমরা অনুগত করেছিলাম পর্বতমালাকে , যেন এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তার (দাউদ (আঃ) সাথে আমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করে ,
  • আর সমবেত পাখীদেরকেও (অনুগত করেছিলাম) তার , প্রত্যেকেই ছিল অধিক আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
  • আর আমরা তার রাজ্যকে সুদৃঢ় করেছিলাম , আর তাকে দিয়েছিলাম জ্ঞান-বুদ্ধি-বিচক্ষণতা আর বিচারকার্য ও কথাবার্তায় উত্তম সিদ্ধান্ত দানের যোগ্যতা ।
  • আপনার কাছে বিবদমান লোকদের বৃত্তান্ত পৌছেছে কি ? যখন তারা প্রাচীর ডিঙিয়ে আসল ইবাদাতখানায় প্রবেশ করল ,
  • এবং দাউদের নিকট পৌঁছল তখন তাদের কারণে তিনি ভীত হয়ে পড়লেন । তারা বলল , ভীত হবেন না , আমরা দুই বিবাদমান পক্ষ — আমরা একে অপরের উপর যুল্‌ম করেছি; অতএব আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায় বিচার করুন , অবিচার করবেন না এবং আমাদেরকে সঠিক পথ নির্দেশ করুন ।
  • এ হচ্ছে আমার ভাই , এর আছে নিরানব্বইটা দুম্বী , আর আমার আছে মাত্র একটা দুম্বী ; তবুও সে বলে - এটি আমার তত্ত্বাবধানে দিয়ে দাও , আর সে যুক্তি-তর্কে আমার প্ৰতি প্রাধান্য বিস্তার করেছে ।
  • দাউদ বললেন , তোমার ভেড়ীটিকে তার ভেড়ীগুলোর সঙ্গে যুক্ত করার দাবী করে সে তোমার প্রতি যুলুম করেছে । আর শরীকদের অনেকে একে অন্যের উপর তো সীমালঙ্ঘন করে থাকে — করে না শুধু যারা ঈমান আনে এবং সৎকাজ করে , আর তারা সংখ্যায় স্বল্প । আর দাউদ বুঝতে পারলেন , আমরা তো তাকে পরীক্ষা করলাম । অতঃপর তিনি তার রবের কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করলেন এবং নত হয়ে লুটিয়ে পড়লেন , আর তাঁর অভিমুখী হলেন । [সাজদাহ]
  • অতঃপর আমরা তার ক্ৰটি ক্ষমা করলাম । আর নিশ্চয় আমাদের কাছে তার জন্য রয়েছে নৈকট্যের মর্যাদা ও উত্তম প্রত্যাবর্তনস্থল ।

[ দাঊদ (আ)-এর এই কাজ কি ছিল, যার জন্য তাঁকে ত্রুটি স্বীকার এবং তওবা, ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা ও অনুতাপ প্রকাশ করার অনুভূতি হল এবং আল্লাহ তাআলা তাঁকে ক্ষমা করে দিলেন। কুরআন কারীমে এর বিস্তারিত আলোচনা পাওয়া যায় না এবং কোন সহীহ হাদীসেও এ বিষয়ে কোন স্পষ্ট বর্ণনা নেই । ]

  • হে দাউদ ! আমরা আপনাকে যমীনে খলীফা বানিয়েছি , অতএব আপনি লোকদের মধ্যে সুবিচার করুন এবং খেয়াল - খুশীর অনুসরণ করবেন না , কেননা এটা আপনাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করবে । নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে ভ্ৰষ্ট হয় তাদের জন্য রয়েছে কঠিন শাস্তি , কারণ তারা বিচার দিনকে ভুলে গিয়েছিল ।
  • আর আমরা আসমান, যমীন ও এ দুয়ের মধ্যবর্তী কোন কিছুই অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করিনি । এ তো অবিশ্বাসীদের ধারণা । সুতরাং অবিশ্বাসীদের জন্য রয়েছে জাহান্নামের দুর্ভোগ ।
  • যারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকাজ করে আমরা কি তাদেরকে যমীনে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারীদের সমান গণ্য করব ? নাকি আমরা মুত্তাকীদেরকে (সাবধানিগণকে) অপরাধীদের সমান গণ্য করব ?
  • আমরা এ কল্যাণময় গ্রন্থ (কুরআন) আপনার প্রতি নাযিল করেছি , যাতে মানুষ এর আয়াতসমূহে গভীরভাবে চিন্তা করে এবং যাতে বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন ব্যক্তিরা গ্ৰহণ করে উপদেশ ।
  • আর আমরা দাউদকে (পুত্ররূপে) দান করলাম সুলাইমান । কতই না উত্তম বান্দা তিনি ! নিশ্চয় তিনি ছিলেন অতিশয় আল্লাহ অভিমুখী ।
  • যখন তার সামনে সন্ধ্যাবেলায় পেশ করা হল দ্রুতগামী উৎকৃষ্ট ঘোড়াসমূহ ।
  • তখন সে বলল , আমি তো আমার রবের স্মরণ থেকে বিমুখ হয়ে ঐশ্বর্যের প্রেমে মগ্ন হয়ে পড়েছি , এদিকে সূর্য অস্তমিত হয়ে গেছে ।
  • এগুলোকে আমার কাছে ফিরিয়ে আন । তারপর তিনি ওগুলোর পা এবং গলা ছেদন করতে লাগলেন ।
  • আর অবশ্যই আমরা সুলাইমানকে পরীক্ষা করলাম এবং তার আসনের উপর রাখলাম একটি দেহ ; তারপর সুলাইমান আমার অভিমুখী হলেন ।
  • তিনি (সুলাইমান) বললেন , হে আমার রব , আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন এবং আমাকে এমন এক রাজত্ব দান করুন যা আমার পর আর কারও জন্যই প্রযোজ্য হবে না । নিশ্চয়ই আপনি বড়ই দানশীল ।
  • তখন আমরা তার [ (সুলাইমান (আঃ) ] অধীন করে দিলাম বায়ুকে , যা তার আদেশে , তিনি যেখানে ইচ্ছে করতেন সেখানে মৃদুমন্দভাবে প্রবাহিত হত ,
  • আর (অধীন করে দিলাম) প্রত্যেক প্রাসাদ নির্মাণকারী ও ডুবুরী শয়তান [জিন] সমূহকে ও ।
  • এবং শৃংখলে আবদ্ধ আরও অনেককে ।
  • এসব আমাদের অনুগ্রহ , অতএব এ থেকে আপনি অন্যকে দিতে বা নিজে রাখতে পারেন । এর জন্য আপনাকে হিসেব দিতে হবে না ।
  • আর নিশ্চয় আমাদের কাছে রয়েছে তার [ (সুলাইমান (আঃ) ] জন্য নৈকট্যের মর্যাদা ও উত্তম প্রত্যাবর্তনস্থল ।
  • Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah].
  • Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him (David), exalting [Allah] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise.
  • And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises].
  • And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech.
  • And has there come to you the news of the adversaries, when they climbed over the wall of [his] prayer chamber
  • When they entered upon David and he was alarmed by them? They said, "Fear not. [We are] two adversaries, one of whom has wronged the other, so judge between us with truth and do not exceed [it] and guide us to the sound path.
  • Indeed this, my brother, has ninety-nine ewes, and I have one ewe; so he said, 'Entrust her to me,' and he overpowered me in speech."
  • [David] said, "He has certainly wronged you in demanding your ewe [in addition] to his ewes. And indeed, many associates oppress one another, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds - and few are they." And David became certain that We had tried him, and he asked forgiveness of his Lord and fell down bowing [in prostration] and turned in repentance [to Allah]. [Sajdah]
  • So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return.

[ What was the act of Dawud (A.S.) that led him to feel the need to acknowledge his mistake, repent, seek forgiveness, and express remorse — and for which Allah, the Exalted, forgave him? The Qur'an does not provide detailed discussion on this matter, nor is there any clear narration in any authentic Hadith regarding it.]

  • [We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account.
  • And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire.
  • Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked?
  • [This is] a blessed Book (Quran) which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.
  • And to David We gave Solomon ( as son) . An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].
  • [Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses.
  • And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]."
  • [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks.
  • And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned.
  • He said, "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower."
  • So We subjected to him [ (Solomon (AS) ] the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed,
  • And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver
  • And others bound together in shackles.
  • [We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account."
  • And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return.

Surah 42 | Ash-Shura | আশ-শূরা | Verse: 32 - 35

  • আর তাঁর নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে আরো রয়েছে সমুদ্রে চলাচলকারী পর্বতসদৃশ জাহাজসমূহ ।
  • তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে বায়ুকে স্তব্ধ করে দিতে পারেন ; ফলে নৌযানসমূহ সমুদ্রের বুকে নিশ্চল হয়ে পড়বে । নিশ্চয়ই এতে ধৈর্যশীল ও কৃতজ্ঞদের জন্য বহু নিদর্শন রয়েছে ।
  • অথবা তিনি তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য সেইগুলিকে বিধ্বস্ত করে দিতে পারেন আবার অনেককে তিনি ক্ষমাও করেন ।
  • আর যারা আমার নিদর্শনসমূহ সম্পর্কে বাক বিতন্ডা করে তারা যেন জেনে নেয় যে, তাদের (আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে পালিয়ে অন্যত্র আশ্রয় নেয়ার জন্য) কোন আশ্রয়স্থল নেই ।
  • And of His signs are the ships in the sea, like mountains.
  • If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
  • Or He could destroy them for what they earned; but He pardons much.
  • And [that is so] those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape.
