  • যখন একজন মানুষ মারা যায়, তার সব কাজ শেষ হয়ে যায় , তিনটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া: সদকা জারিয়া (চলমান দান) , এমন জ্ঞান যা থেকে উপকার পাওয়া যায়, এবং একটি সৎ সন্তান যে তার জন্য দোয়া করে । | মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ; হাদিস - সহিহ মুসলিম | When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him. | Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); Hadith - Sahih Muslim |

  • যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে (সাওয়াবের) অংশ আছে এবং যে মন্দ কাজের জন্য সুপারিশ করবে, তার জন্য তাতে অংশ আছে । আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর নজর রাখেন । | সূরাঃ ৪ , আন-নিসা , আয়াতঃ : ৮৫ | Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper. | Surah 4 , An-Nisa , Verse: 85 |

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
আল্লাহর নামে, যিনি পরম করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু

Surah 8 | Al-Anfal | আল-আনফাল | Verse: 27-28

  • হে মু’মিনগণ! তোমরা জেনে বুঝে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের সঙ্গে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করো না, আর যে বিষয়ে তোমরা আমানাত প্রাপ্ত হয়েছ তাতেও বিশ্বাস ভঙ্গ করো না। জেনে রেখ, তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ আর সন্তান- সন্ততি হচ্ছে পরীক্ষার সামগ্রী মাত্র। (এ পরীক্ষায় যারা উত্তীর্ণ হবে তাদের জন্য) আল্লাহর নিকট রয়েছে মহাপুরস্কার।
  • O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence].And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward.

Surah 9 | At-Tawba | আত-তাওবা | Verse: 55

  • কাজেই তাদের সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি আপনাকে,"হে মুহাম্মদ", যেন বিমুগ্ধ না করে, আল্লাহ তো এসবের দ্বারাই তাদেরকে দুনিয়ার জীবনে শাস্তি দিতে চান। আর তাদের আত্মা দেহত্যাগ করবে কাফের থাকা অবস্থায়।
  • So let not their wealth or their children impress you," O Muhammad" . Allah only intends to punish them through them in worldly life and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers.

Surah 9 | At-Tawba | আত-তাওবা | Verse: 85

  • আর তাদের সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি আপনাকে যেন বিমুগ্ধ না করে; আল্লাহ তো এগুলোর দ্বারাই তাদেরকে পার্থিব জীবনে শাস্তি দিতে চান; আর তারা কাফের থাকা অবস্থায় তাদের আত্মা দেহ-ত্যাগ করে।
  • And let not their wealth and their children impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through them in this world and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers.

Surah 17 | Al-Isra | আল-ইসরা (বনী-ইসরাঈল) | Verse: 23 - 24

  • আর আপনার রব আদেশ দিয়েছেন তিনি ছাড়া অন্য কারো ইবাদাত না করতে ও পিতা-মাতার প্রতি সদ্ব্যবহার করতে। তারা একজন বা উভয়ই তোমার জীবদ্দশায় বার্ধক্যে উপনীত হলে তাদেরকে ‘উফ’ বলো না এবং তাদেরকে ধমক দিও না; তাদের সাথে সম্মানসূচক কথা বল ।
  • অনুকম্পায় তাদের প্রতি বিনয়াবনত থেকো এবং বলো, ‘হে আমার প্রতিপালক! তাদের উভয়ের প্রতি দয়া কর; যেভাবে শৈশবে তারা আমাকে প্রতিপালন করেছে।’
  • And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.
  • And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."

Surah 18 | Al-Kahf | আল-কাহফ | Verse: 45 - 46

  • আর আপনি তাদের কাছে পেশ করুন উপমা দুনিয়ার জীবনের: এটা পানির ন্যায় যা আমরা বর্ষণ করি আকাশ থেকে, যা দ্বারা ভূমিজ উদ্ভিদ ঘন সন্নিবিষ্ট হয়ে উদগত হয়, তারপর তা বিশুষ্ক হয়ে এমন চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হয় যে, বাতাস তাকে উড়িয়ে নিয়ে যায়। আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর শক্তিমান।
  • ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি দুনিয়ার জীবনের শোভা ; আর সৎকার্য, যার ফল স্থায়ী ওটা আপনার প্রতিপালকের নিকট পুরস্কার প্রাপ্তির জন্য শ্রেষ্ঠ এবং আশা প্রাপ্তির ব্যাপারেও উত্তম ।
  • And present to them the example of the life of this world, [its being] like rain which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. And Allah is ever, over all things, Perfect in Ability.
  • Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope.

Surah 26 | Ash-Shu'ara | আশ-শুআ'রা | Verse: 69 - 89

  • আর [হে মুহাম্মাদ], আপনি তাদের কাছে ইবরাহীমের বৃত্তান্ত বৰ্ণনা করুন ।
  • যখন তিনি তার পিতা ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলেন, তোমরা কিসের ইবাদাত কর ?
  • তারা বলল , ‘আমরা মূর্তির পূজা করি এবং আমরা নিষ্ঠার সাথে ওদের পূজায় নিরত থাকি ।
  • তিনি বললেন , তোমরা যখন আহ্বান কর তখন তারা তোমাদের শোনে কি ?
  • অথবা তারা কি তোমাদের উপকার কিংবা অপকার করতে পারে ?
  • তারা বলল , না , তবে আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছি , তারা এরূপই করত ।
  • ইবরাহীম বললেন , তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ, তোমরা কিসের পূজা কর ।
  • তোমরা এবং তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী পিতৃপুরুষরা ?
  • তারা সবাই আমার শত্রু, বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা ছাড়া ।
  • যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তিনিই আমাকে হেদায়াত দিয়েছেন ।
  • আর তিনিই আমাকে খাওয়ান এবং তিনিই আমাকে পান করান ।
  • এবং রোগাক্রান্ত হলে তিনিই আমাকে রোগমুক্ত করেন ।
  • আর তিনিই আমার মৃত্যু ঘটাবেন, অতঃপর আমাকে পুনর্জীবিত করবেন ।
  • এবং আশা করি, তিনি কিয়ামতের দিন আমার অপরাধসমূহ মার্জনা করে দেবেন ।
  • হে আমার রাব্ব! আমাকে প্রজ্ঞা দান করুন এবং সৎ কর্মপরায়ণদের সাথে আমাকে মিলিত করুন ।
  • এবং পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে আমার সুনাম-সুখ্যাতি অব্যাহত রাখুন ,
  • এবং আমাকে নি‘য়ামাতপূর্ণ জান্নাতের উত্তরাধিকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করুন ,
  • আর আমার পিতাকে ক্ষমা করুন, তিনি তো পথভ্রষ্টদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন ।
  • এবং যেদিন পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে সেদিন আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করবেন না ।
  • যে দিন ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কোন কাজে আসবে না ;
  • সে দিন উপকৃত হবে শুধু সে , যে আল্লাহর কাছে আসবে বিশুদ্ধ অন্তঃকরণ নিয়ে ।
  • And [O Muhammad], recite to them the news of Abraham,
  • When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
  • They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
  • He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate ?
  • Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"
  • They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."
  • He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,
  • You and your ancient forefathers ?
  • Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,
  • Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.
  • And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.
  • And when I am ill, it is He who cures me
  • And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life .
  • And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."
  • [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.
  • And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.
  • And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.
  • And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.
  • And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected
  • The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children
  • But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."

Surah 27 | An-Naml | আন-নামাল Verse: 19

  • অতঃপর সুলাইমান তার এ কথাতে মৃদু হাসলেন এবং বললেন, হে আমার রব! আপনি আমাকে সামর্থ্য দিন যাতে আমি আপনার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে পারি, আমার প্রতি ও আমার পিতামাতার প্রতি আপনি যে অনুগ্রহ করেছেন তার জন্য এবং যাতে আমি এমন সৎকাজ করতে পারি যা আপনি পছন্দ করেন । আর আপনার অনুগ্রহে আমাকে আপনার সৎকর্মপরায়ণ বান্দাদের শামিল করুন ।
  • So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants."

Surah 29 | Al-Ankabut | আল-আনকাবূত | Verse: 8

  • আর আমরা মানুষকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছি তার পিতা-মাতার প্রতি সদ্ব্যবহার করতে । তবে তারা যদি তোমার উপর বল প্রয়োগ করে আমার সাথে এমন কিছু শরীক করতে যার সম্পর্কে তোমার কোন জ্ঞান নেই , তাহলে তুমি তাদেরকে মেনো না আমারই কাছে তোমাদের ফিরে আসা । অতঃপর তোমরা কি করছিলে তা আমি তোমাদেরকে জানিয়ে দেব ।
  • And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.

Surah 31 | Luqman | লুকমান | Verse: 12 - 19

  • আর অবশ্যই আমরা লুকমানকে প্রজ্ঞা দান করেছিলাম (আর বলেছিলাম) , ‘তুমি আল্লাহর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর । যে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে সে তো তা নিজেরই জন্য করে এবং কেউ অকৃতজ্ঞ হলে আল্লাহ তো অভাবমুক্ত , চির প্রশংসিত ।
  • আর স্মরণ করুন [ হে মুহাম্মদ ], যখন লুকমান উপদেশ দিতে গিয়ে তার পুত্ৰকে বলেছিল, হে আমার প্রিয় বৎস ! আল্লাহর কোন অংশী করো না । আল্লাহর অংশী করা তো চরম অন্যায় ।
  • আর আমরা মানুষকে তাঁর পিতা-মাতার প্রতি সদাচরণের নির্দেশ দিয়েছি । তার মা তাকে কষ্টের পর কষ্ট সহ্য করে গর্ভে ধারণ করে । আর তার দুধ ছাড়ানো হয় দু’বছরে ; সুতরাং আমার ও তোমার পিতা-মাতার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও । (তোমাদের সকলের) প্রত্যাবর্তন তো আমারই কাছে ।
  • আর তোমার পিতা-মাতা যদি তোমাকে আমার সাথে শির্ক করার জন্য পীড়াপীড়ি করে , যে বিষয়ে তোমার কোন জ্ঞান নেই , তাহলে তুমি তাদের কথা মেনো না এবং দুনিয়াতে তাদের সাথে বসবাস করবে সদ্ভাবে আর যে আমার অভিমুখী হয়েছে তার পথ অনুসরণ কর । তারপর তোমাদের ফিরে আসা আমারই কাছে , তখন তোমরা যা করতে সে বিষয়ে আমি তোমাদেরকে অবিহিত করব ।
  • হে আমার প্রিয় বৎস ! কোন (পাপ অথবা পুণ্য) যদি সরিষার দানা পরিমাণও হয় এবং তা যদি কোন পাথরের ভিতরে অথবা আকাশমন্ডলীতে অথবা মাটির নীচে থাকে , তাহলে আল্লাহ তাও উপস্থিত করবেন । আল্লাহ সূক্ষ্মদর্শী , সকল বিষয়ে অবগত ।
  • ‘হে আমার প্রিয় বৎস ! সালাত কায়েম কর , সৎকাজের আদেশ দাও , অসৎকাজে নিষেধ কর এবং তোমার উপর যে বিপদ আসে তাতে ধৈর্য ধর । নিশ্চয় এটা অন্যতম দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ ।
  • আর তুমি অহংকারের বশবর্তী হয়ে মানুষকে অবজ্ঞা কর না , আর পৃথিবীতে গর্বভরে চলাফেরা কর না , নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ কোন দাম্ভিক অহংকারীকে পছন্দ করেন না ।
  • আর তুমি তোমার চলার ক্ষেত্রে মধ্যপন্থা অবলম্বন কর এবং তোমার কণ্ঠস্বর নীচু করো । স্বরের মধ্যে নিশ্চয়ই গাধার স্বর সর্বাপেক্ষা শ্রুতিকটু ।
  • And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
  • And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah. Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice."
  • And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.
  • But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.
  • [And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.
  • O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination.
  • And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.
  • And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."

Surah 31 | Luqman | লুকমান | Verse: 33 - 34

  • হে মানুষ ! তোমরা তোমাদের প্রতিপালককে ভয় কর এবং সেদিনকে ভয় কর , যেদিন পিতা সন্তানের কোন উপকারে আসবে না, সন্তানও তার পিতার কোন উপকারে আসবে না । আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য । সুতরাং পার্থিব জীবন যেন তোমাদেরকে কিছুতেই প্রতারিত না করে এবং শয়তান যেন কিছুতেই আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে তোমাদেরকে ধোঁকায় না ফেলে ।
  • নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর নিকটেই আছে কিয়ামত (সংঘটিত হওয়ার) জ্ঞান , তিনি বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করেন এবং তিনি জানেন যা মাতৃগর্ভে আছে । আর কেউ জানে না । আগামী কাল সে কি অর্জন করবে এবং কেউ জানে না কোন স্থানে তার মৃত্যু ঘটবে । নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ সর্বজ্ঞ , সম্যক অবহিত ।
  • O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
  • Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

Surah 34 | Saba | সাবা | Verse: 31 - 39

  • আর কাফিরগণ বলে , আমরা এ কুরআনের ওপর কখনো ঈমান আনবনা এবং এর আগে যা আছে তাতেও না । আর হায় ! আপনি যদি দেখতেন যালিমদেরকে , যখন তাদের রবের সামনে দাঁড় করানো হবে , তখন তারা পরস্পরকে দোষারোপ করতে থাকবে , যারা দুর্বল (অনুসারী) ছিল তারা দাম্ভিক (অনুসৃত) দেরকে বলবে , তোমরা না থাকলে আমরা অবশ্যই বিশ্বাসী হতাম ।
  • যারা দাম্ভিক (অনুসৃত) ছিল , তারা দুর্বল (অনুসারী)দেরকে বলবে , তোমাদের নিকট সৎ পথের দিশা আসার পর আমরা কি তোমাদেরকে তা হতে নিবৃত্ত করেছিলাম ? বস্তুতঃ তোমরাইতো ছিলে অপরাধী ।
  • যাদেরকে দুর্বল করে রাখা হয়েছিল তারা দাম্ভিকদের বলবে - তোমরাই তো বরং দিন-রাত চক্রান্ত করতে । তোমরা আমাদেরকে নির্দেশ দিতে যাতে আমরা আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করি আর তাঁর সমকক্ষ স্থির করি । আর যখন তারা শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করবে তখন মনে মনে অনুতপ্ত হবে , আর আমি কাফিরদের গলায় শৃঙ্খল পরিয়ে দেব । তারা যা করত কেবল তারই প্রতিফল তাদেরকে দেয়া হবে ।
  • যখনই আমরা কোন জনপদে সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করেছি সেখানকার বিত্তশালী অধিবাসীরা বলেছে , তুমি যা নিয়ে প্রেরিত হয়েছ আমরা তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করি ।
  • তারা আরও বলেছে , আমরা ধনে-জনে সমৃদ্ধিশালী ; আর আমাদেরকে কিছুতেই শান্তি দেয়া হবে না ।
  • বলুন , আমার রব যার প্রতি ইচ্ছে তার রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন অথবা সীমিত করেন ; কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোকই এটা জানে না ।
  • আর তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি আমার নৈকট্য লাভের সহায়ক হবে না । তবে যারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকাজ করে, তারাই তাদের কাজের জন্য পাবে বহুগুণ প্রতিদান ; আর তারা সুউচ্চ প্রাসাদে নিরাপদে থাকবে ।
  • আর যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে ব্যর্থ করে দিতে প্রচেষ্টা চালায় তাদেরকে আযাবের মধ্যে উপস্থিত করা হবে ।
  • বলুন , নিশ্চয় আমার রব তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার জন্য ইচ্ছা রিয্ক প্রশস্ত করেন এবং সঙ্কুচিত করেন । আর তোমরা যা কিছু আল্লাহর জন্য ব্যয় কর তিনি তার বিনিময় দেবেন এবং তিনিই উত্তম রিয্কদাতা ।
  • And those who disbelieve say, "We will never believe in this Qur'an nor in that before it." But if you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Lord, refuting each other's words... Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, "If not for you, we would have been believers."
  • Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, "Did we avert you from guidance after it had come to you? Rather, you were criminals."
  • Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, "Rather, [it was your] conspiracy of night and day when you were ordering us to disbelieve in Allah and attribute to Him equals." But they will [all] confide regret when they see the punishment; and We will put shackles on the necks of those who disbelieved. Will they be recompensed except for what they used to do?
  • And We did not send into a city any warner except that its affluent said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
  • And they said, "We are more [than the believers] in wealth and children, and we are not to be punished."
  • Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it], but most of the people do not know."
  • And it is not your wealth or your children that bring you nearer to Us in position, but it is [by being] one who has believed and done righteousness. For them there will be the double reward for what they did, and they will be in the upper chambers [of Paradise], safe [and secure].
  • And the ones who strive against Our verses to cause [them] failure - those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].
  • Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts [it] for him. But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers."

Surah 37 | As-Saffat | আস-সাফফাত | Verse: 75 - 113

  • আর অবশ্যই নূহ আমাদেরকে ডেকেছিলেন , অতঃপর (দেখুন) আমরা কত উত্তম সাড়াদানকারী ।
  • তাকে এবং তার পরিবারবর্গকে আমরা উদ্ধার করেছিলাম মহাসংকট থেকে ।
  • আর তার বংশধরদেরকেই আমরা বিদ্যমান রেখেছি (বংশপরম্পরায়) ,
  • আর আমরা পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে তার জন্য সুখ্যাতি রেখেছি ।
  • সমগ্র বিশ্বের মধ্যে নূহের প্রতি শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক !
  • নিশ্চয় আমরা এভাবে সৎ কর্মশীলদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি ।
  • নিশ্চয় তিনি ছিলেন আমাদের মুমিন বান্দাদের অন্যতম ।
  • তারপর অন্য সকলকে আমরা নিমজিত করেছিলাম ।
  • আর নিশ্চয় ইব্রাহীম তার অনুসারীদের একজন ।
  • স্মরণ করুন , যখন তিনি তার রবের কাছে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন বিশুদ্ধচিত্তে ;
  • যখন তিনি তার পিতা ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলেন , তোমরা কিসের ইবাদাত করছ ?
  • তোমরা কি আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে অলীক উপাস্য চাও ?
  • বিশ্ব জগতের প্রতিপালক সম্পর্কে তোমরা কী ধারণা পোষণ কর ?
  • অতঃপর তিনি (ইব্রাহীম) তারকারাজির দিকে একবার তাকালেন ,
  • এবং বললেন , নিশ্চয় আমি অসুস্থ ।
  • অতঃপর তারা তাকে পিছনে রেখে চলে গেল ।
  • পরে তিনি চুপিচুপি তাদের দেবতাগুলোর কাছে গেলেন এবং বললেন , তোমরা খাদ্য গ্রহণ করছ না কেন ?
  • তোমাদের কী হয়েছে যে তোমরা কথা বলছ না ?
  • অতঃপর তিনি তাদের উপর সবলে আঘাত হানলেন ।
  • তখন ঐ লোকগুলো তার দিকে ছুটে আসল ।
  • তিনি বললেন , তোমরা নিজেরা যাদেরকে পাথর খোদাই করে নির্মাণ কর , সেগুলোরই আবার ইবাদাত কর ?
  • অথচ , আল্লাহই সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমরা যা তৈরী করা তাও ।
  • তারা বলল, এর জন্য এক অগ্নিকুন্ড তৈরী কর , অতঃপর একে জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিতে নিক্ষেপ কর ।
  • এভাবে তারা তার বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্তের সংকল্প করেছিল ; কিন্তু আমরা তাদেরকে সম্পূর্ণ পরাভূত করে দিলাম ।
  • তিনি (ইব্রাহীম) বললেন , আমি আমার রবের দিকে চললাম , তিনি আমাকে অবশ্যই হেদায়াত করবেন ,
  • হে আমার রব ! আমাকে এক সৎকর্মশীল পুত্র সন্তান দান করুন ।
  • অতঃপর আমরা তাকে এক ধৈর্যশীল পুত্রের সুসংবাদ দিলাম ।
  • অতঃপর তিনি যখন তার পিতার সাথে কাজ করার মত বয়সে উপনীত হলেন , তখন ইবরাহীম বললেন , হে প্রিয় বৎস ! আমি স্বপ্নে দেখি যে, তোমাকে আমি যবেহ করছি , এখন তোমার অভিমত কি বল? তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পিতা ! আপনি যা আদেশপ্ৰাপ্ত হয়েছেন তা-ই করুন । আল্লাহর ইচ্ছায় আপনি আমাকে ধৈর্যশীল পাবেন ।
  • অতঃপর যখন পিতা-পুত্র উভয়ে আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করলেন এবং ইবরাহীম তার পুত্রকে উপুড় করে শায়িত করলেন ,
  • তখন আমরা তাকে ডেকে বললাম , হে ইবরাহীম !
  • আপনি তো স্বপ্নের আদেশ সত্যই পালন করলেন ! এভাবেই আমরা সৎকর্মশীলদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি ।
  • নিশ্চয়ই এটা ছিল এক স্পষ্ট পরীক্ষা ।
  • আর আমরা তার পরিবর্তে যবেহযোগ্য এক মহান জন্তু (কুরবানী) দিয়ে তাকে মুক্ত করে নিলাম ।
  • আর আমরা তার জন্য এ বিষয়টি পরবর্তীদের জন্য স্মরণীয় করে রাখলাম ।
  • ইবরাহীমের উপর শান্তি বৰ্ষিত হোক ।
  • এভাবেই আমরা সৎকর্মপরায়ণদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি ।
  • নিশ্চয় তিনি ছিলেন আমাদের মুমিন বান্দাদের অন্যতম ;
  • আর আমরা তাকে সুসংবাদ দিয়েছিলাম ইসহাকের , তিনি ছিলেন এক নবী , সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্যতম ।
  • আর আমরা ইবরাহীমের ওপর বরকত দান করেছিলাম এবং ইসহাকের উপরও ; তাদের উভয়ের বংশধরদের মধ্যে কিছু সংখ্যক সৎকর্মপরায়ণ এবং কিছু সংখ্যক নিজেদের প্রতি স্পষ্ট অত্যাচারী ।
  • And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
  • And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
  • And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
  • And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations .
  • "Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
  • Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
  • Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
  • Then We drowned the disbelievers.
  • And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,
  • When he came to his Lord with a sound heart
  • [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
  • Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
  • Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
  • And he cast a look at the stars
  • And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
  • So they turned away from him, departing.
  • Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
  • What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
  • And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
  • Then the people came toward him, hastening.
  • He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,
  • While Allah created you and that which you do?"
  • They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
  • And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
  • And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
  • My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
  • So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
  • And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
  • And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
  • We called to him, "O Abraham,
  • You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
  • Indeed, this was the clear trial.
  • And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
  • And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
  • "Peace upon Abraham."
  • Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
  • Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
  • And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
  • And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.

Surah 40 | Ghafir | গাফির (আল মু'মিন) | Verse: 67 - 68

  • তিনি, (আল্লাহ), তোমাদেরকে মাটি থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন , পরে শুক্রবিন্দু হতে , তারপর আলাকাহ ( জমাট রক্ত ) হতে, তারপর তোমাদেরকে শিশুরূপে বের করেন , তারপর তোমরা হও যৌবনপ্রাপ্ত , তারপর উপনীত হও বার্ধক্যে । তোমাদের মধ্যে কারও কারও পূর্বেই মৃত্যু ঘটে এবং এ জন্য যে , যাতে তোমরা তোমাদের নির্ধারিতকাল প্রাপ্ত হও আর যাতে তোমরা অনুধাবন করতে পার (আল্লাহর সৃষ্টি কুশলতা - মাটি , শুক্রবিন্দু , আলাকাহ, শিশু, যৌবনপ্রাপ্ত, বার্ধক্ )।
  • তিনিই জীবন দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু দেন এবং যখন তিনি কিছু করা স্থির করেন তখন তিনি বলেনঃ ‘হও’ , এবং তা হয়ে যায় ।
  • It is He, (Allah), who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason.
  • He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is.

Surah 42 | Ash-Shura | আশ-শূরা | Verse: 44 - 47

  • আল্লাহ কাউকেও পথভ্রষ্ট করলে তার জন্য তিনি ব্যতীত কোন অভিভাবক নেই । আর সীমালংঘনকারীরা যখন শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করবে , তখন আপনি তাদেরকে বলতে শুনবেন, ফিরে যাওয়ার কোন উপায় আছে কি ?
  • আর আপনি তাদেরকে দেখতে পাবেন যে, তাদেরকে (জাহান্নামের সামনে) উপস্থিত করা হচ্ছে, লাঞ্ছিত ও অপমানিত অবস্থায় ; তারা অপমানে অবনত অবস্থায় আড় চোখে তাকাচ্ছে । আর যারা ঈমান এনেছে তারা বলবে , সত্যিকার ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত তো তারাই যারা ক্বিয়ামতের দিনে নিজেদেরকে এবং নিজেদের পরিবার-পরিজনকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করেছে । জেনে রেখো , সীমালংঘনকারীরা অবশ্যই স্থায়ী শাস্তি ভোগ করবে ।
  • আল্লাহর শাস্তির বিরুদ্ধে তাদেরকে সাহায্য করার জন্য তাদের কোন অভিভাবক থাকবে না । আর আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন তার কোন পথ নেই ।
  • তোমরা তোমাদের রবের ডাকে সাড়া দাও আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে সে দিন আসার আগে, যা অপ্রতিরোধ্য; যেদিন তোমাদের কোন আশ্রয়স্থল থাকবে না , আর না (তোমাদের পাপ) অস্বীকার করার সুযোগ থাকবে ।
  • And he whom Allah sends astray - for him there is no protector beyond Him. And you will see the wrongdoers, when they see the punishment, saying, "Is there for return [to the former world] any way?"
  • And you will see them being exposed to the Fire, humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. And those who had believed will say, "Indeed, the [true] losers are the ones who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, the wrongdoers are in an enduring punishment.
    • And there will not be for them any allies to aid them other than Allah. And whoever Allah sends astray - for him there is no way.
  • Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. No refuge will you have that day, nor for you will there be any denial.

Surah 42 | Ash-Shura | আশ-শূরা | Verse: 49 - 50

  • আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের আধিপত্য আল্লাহরই । তিনি যা ইচ্ছে তা-ই সৃষ্টি করেন । তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছে কন্যা সন্তান দান করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছে পুত্র সন্তান দান করেন ।
  • অথবা দান করেন পুত্র-কন্যা উভয়ই এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা তাকে বন্ধ্যা করে দেন । নিশ্চয়ই তিনি সর্বজ্ঞ সর্বশক্তিমান ।
  • To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males.
  • Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.

Surah 46 | Al-Ahqaf | আল-আহকাফ | Verse: 15 - 16

  • আর আমরা মানুষকে তার মাতা-পিতার প্রতি সদয় ব্যবহারের নির্দেশ দিয়েছি । তার মা তাকে গর্ভে ধারণ করে কষ্টের সাথে এবং প্রসব করে কষ্টের সাথে, তাকে গৰ্ভে ধারণ করতে ও তার স্তন্য ছাড়াতে লাগে ত্রিশ মাস অবশেষে যখন সে পূর্ণ শক্তিপ্রাপ্ত হয় এবং চল্লিশ বছরে উপনীত হয়, তখন সে বলে, হে আমার রব ! আপনি আমাকে সামর্থ্য দিন , যাতে আমি আপনার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে পারি , আমার প্রতি ও আমার পিতা-মাতার প্রতি আপনি যে অনুগ্রহ করেছেন , তার জন্য এবং যাতে আমি এমন সৎকাজ করতে পারি যা আপনি পছন্দ করেন , আর আমার জন্য আমার সন্তান-সন্ততিদেরকে সংশোধন করে দিন , নিশ্চয় আমি আপনারই অভিমুখী হলাম এবং নিশ্চয় আমি মুসলিমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ।
  • ওরাই তারা , আমরা যাদের সৎ আমলগুলো কবুল করি এবং মন্দ কাজগুলো ক্ষমা করি , তারা জান্নাতবাসীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত । তাদেরকে যে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়া হয়েছে তা সত্য ওয়াদা ।
  • And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
    • Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised.

Surah 52 | At-Tur | আত-তূর | Verse: 21

  • আর যারা ঈমান আনে , আর তাদের সন্তান-সন্ততি ঈমানে তাদের অনুগামী হয় , আমরা তাদের সাথে মিলিত করব তাদের সন্তান-সন্ততিকে এবং তাদের কর্মফল আমরা একটুও কমাবো না ; প্ৰত্যেক ব্যক্তি নিজ কৃতকর্মের জন্য দায়ী ।
  • And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained .

Surah 57 | Al-Hadid | আল-হাদীদ | Verse: 20

  • তোমরা জেনে রেখ যে, পার্থিব জীবনতো ক্রীড়া কৌতুক, জাঁকজমক, পারস্পরিক অহংকার প্রকাশ, ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততিতে প্রাচুর্য লাভের প্রতিযোগিতা ব্যতীত আর কিছুই নয়; ওর উপমা বৃষ্টি, যদ্বারা উৎপন্ন শস্য সম্ভার কৃষকদেরকে চমৎকৃত করে, অতঃপর ওটা শুকিয়ে যায়, ফলে আপনি ওটা পীতবর্ণ দেখতে পান, অবশেষে ওটা খড়কুটায় পরিণত হয়। পরকালে (অবিশ্বাসীদের জন্য) রয়েছে কঠিন শাস্তি এবং (সৎপথ অনুসারীদের জন্য রয়েছে) আল্লাহর ক্ষমা ও সন্তুষ্টি। পার্থিব জীবন ছলনাময় ভোগ ব্যতীত কিছুই নয়।
  • Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

Surah 57 | Al-Hadid | আল-হাদীদ | Verse: 22 - 23

  • যমীনে বা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে তোমাদের উপর যে বিপৰ্যয়ই আসে তা সংঘটিত হওয়ার পূর্বেই আমরা তা কিতাবে লিপিবদ্ধ রেখেছি নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর পক্ষে এটা খুব সহজ।
  • এটা এ জন্যে যে, তোমরা যা হারিয়েছ তাতে যেন তোমরা বিমর্ষ না হও এবং যা তিনি তোমাদেরকে দিয়েছেন তার জন্য আনন্দিত না হও। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পছন্দ করেন না কোন উদ্ধত অহংকারীদেরকে ।
  • No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy.
  • In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.

Surah 58 | Al-Mujadila | আল-মুজাদালা | Verse: 17

  • আল্লাহর শাস্তি মোকাবিলায় তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্তাতি তাদের কোন কাজে আসবে না; তারাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী, সেখানে তারা স্থায়ী হবে।
  • Never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

Surah 58 | Al-Mujadila | আল-মুজাদালা | Verse: 22

  • আপনি পাবেননা আল্লাহ ও আখিরাতের উপর ঈমানদার এমন কোন সম্প্রদায়, যারা ভালবাসে তাদেরকে যারা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূলের বিরুদ্ধাচারণ করে—হোক না এ বিরুদ্ধাচারীরা তাদের পিতা, পুত্ৰ, ভাই অথবা এদের জ্ঞাতি-গোত্র। এদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ লিখে দিয়েছেন ঈমান এবং তাদেরকে শক্তিশালী করেছেন তাঁর পক্ষ থেকে রূহ দ্বারা। আর তিনি তাদেরকে প্রবেশ করাবেন এমন জান্নাতে, যার পাদদেশে নদীসমূহ প্রবাহিত; সেখানে তারা স্থায়ী হবে; আল্লাহ্‌ তাদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হয়েছেন এবং তারাও তাঁর প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট। তারাই আল্লাহ্‌র দল। জেনে রাখ, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ্‌র দলই সফলকাম।
  • You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him - those are the party of Allah. Unquestionably, the party of Allah - they are the successful

Surah 60 | Al-Mumtahina | আল-মুমতাহিনা | Verse: 3 - 4

  • তোমাদের আত্মীয়-স্বজন ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কিয়ামতের দিন কোন উপকার করতে পারবে না। আল্লাহ তোমাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করে দেবেন; আর তোমরা যা কর আল্লাহ তার সম্যক দ্রষ্টা।
  • অবশ্যই তোমাদের জন্য ইব্রাহীম ও তার অনুসারীদের মধ্যে রয়েছে উত্তম আদর্শ। যখন তারা তাদের সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিল, “তোমাদের সঙ্গে এবং তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যার ইবাদত কর তা হতে আমরা সম্পৰ্কমুক্ত। আমরা তোমাদেরকে অস্বীকার করি। তোমাদের ও আমাদের মধ্যে সৃষ্টি হল শক্ৰতা ও বিদ্বেষ চিরকালের জন্য; যতক্ষণ না তোমরা এক আল্লাহতে ঈমান আন। তবে ব্যতিক্রম তাঁর পিতার প্রতি ইবরাহীমের উক্তিঃ আমি অবশ্যই তোমার জন্য ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করব; আর তোমার ব্যাপারে আল্লাহর কাছে আমি কোন অধিকার রাখি না। ইবরাহীম ও তার অনুসারীগণ বলেছিল, হে আমাদের রব! আমরা আপনারই উপর নির্ভর করেছি, আপনারই অভিমুখী হয়েছি এবং ফিরে যাওয়া তো আপনারই কাছে।
  • Never will your relatives or your children benefit you; the Day of Resurrection He will judge between you. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.
  • There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.

Surah 63 | Al-Munafiqun | আল-মুনাফিকূন | Verse: 9

  • হে মুমিনগণ ! তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি যেন তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহর স্মরণে উদাসীন না করে । আর যারা এরূপ উদাসীন হবে তারাই তো ক্ষতিগ্ৰস্ত ।
  • O you who have believed , let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah . And whoever does that - then those are the losers .

Surah 64 | At-Taghabun | আত-তাগাবুন | Verse: 14

  • হে ঈমানদারগণ ! তোমাদের স্ত্রী-স্বামী ও সন্তান-সন্ততিদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ তোমাদের শত্রু ; অতএব তাদের সম্পর্কে তোমরা সতর্ক থেকো । আর যদি তোমরা তাদেরকে মার্জনা কর , তাদের দোষ-ত্রুটি উপেক্ষা কর এবং তাদেরকে ক্ষমা কর , তবে নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ্ ক্ষমাশীল , পরম দয়ালু ।
  • O you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them . But if you pardon and overlook and forgive - then indeed , Allah is Forgiving and Merciful .

Surah 64 | At-Taghabun | আত-তাগাবুন | Verse: 15

  • তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ আর সন্তানাদি পরীক্ষা (’র বস্তু) মাত্র (যারা এ দু’টিকে সঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার ক’রে আল্লাহর পথে অটল থাকবে তারা কৃতকার্য হবে , আর যারা এ দু’টিকে আল্লাহর চেয়ে অধিক ভালবাসবে তারা ব্যর্থ হয়ে যাবে) । আর আল্লাহরই নিকট রয়েছে মহা পুরস্কার ।
  • Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward .

Surah 66 | At-Tahrim | আত-তাহরীম | Verse: 6

  • হে ঈমানদারগণ, তোমরা নিজেদেরকে ও তোমাদের পরিবার-পরিজনকে আগুন হতে বাঁচাও যার জ্বালানি হবে মানুষ ও পাথর ; যেখানে রয়েছে নির্মম ও কঠোর ফেরেশতাকূল , আল্লাহ তাদেরকে যে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন তারা সে ব্যাপারে তার অবাধ্য হয় না । আর তারা তা-ই করে যা তাদেরকে আদেশ করা হয় ।
  • O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
